    The usb-c output is uvc 1080p/30. You must use a USB-C to USB-A OTG cable for this function to work. On a side note I also purchased the DJI transmission SDR units and did a test on latency. The DJI units exhibit 33 milliseconds whilst the hollylands were approx 100 milliseconds in smooth mode.

    The best review I've seen about the Pyro. Been comparing alternatives all day and think I made up my mind. Thanks so much!

    I too have the USB C issue. I’ve reached out as well for a firmware update to hopefully make it work. I’ve seen mixed results with others. It works for some but not for many. Bummer because other than that, the unit seems pretty solid for my needs.

    Great honest review (rare these days) I mean probably don't expect any free Hollyland products haha but props for the actual facts. I agree you get what you paid for and Teradek are industry standard for a reason.
    You need to make a best of budget wireless video transmission, being in a stage environment your have the ability to build a controlled set of contrast, colour, and distance. Put all these "pro" wireless companies on notice!

      Thanks! I try my best to present with honesty.
      Yeah, that'd be a good idea! I'll write that one down.
      And hopefully they still send me stuff. We've been in contact and they seem to be very receptive of the feedback. Hoping they actually improve from it!

    Phenomenal review. If you were buying a wireless camera setup today on a budget is the Ace 500 still the one you’d go for? I know it’s the one you mentioned in the video but is there a newer model I should be looking at? Thanks very much for your help.

      It's hard to find the Ace 500 nowadays but they've upgraded it with the Ace 750. I haven't tried it, but I imagine it's pretty similar and probably the one I'd check first

      @ thanks for the reply. I watched all your videos on the different options, they’re brilliant so fair play. The only thing putting me off the Ace is the lack of SDI.

      @budget-church-livestreaming  Місяць тому

      @@colmhand that's fair, if SDI is something you need you may need to go up a bit in price 😕 our cameras are HDMI out so we do that into the transmitter and on the receiving end we have an HDMI/SDI adapter into our switcher

    Holly land a terrible company one of the worst. They release half finished products just to beat the competition and then a few months later release an updated version.

    Can you please recommend motorized pan & tilt heads for a good budget if you want to remote controll normal cameras? Seems to me that it would be cheaper to just buy a DJI Ronin 4 for 600 Dollars rather than spending 2000 Dollars on all these high end pan & tilt heads :/

    Normally wifi range is within 100 meter?? How 1300 feet is possible with 2.4 ghz & 5ghz wifi??

    Did you contact Hollyland about the picture quality issues and your problem getting the USB C on the receiver to work?

    • @budget-church-livestreaming
      @budget-church-livestreaming  8 місяців тому

      Not the picture quality (it's pretty consistent with my previous experience with their products). I did ask about the USB C issue and they sent me a new firmware version, but not until I had already made the video and I haven't had time to try it out yet unfortunately

    We got the pyro H to upgrade from our mars 300 pro. And the image quality is so much worse. Less detail, pixalated, and just a disappointment. We might go with the teradek ace 750 for just $400 more. Thoughts?

      @budget-church-livestreaming  7 місяців тому +1

      We use the teradek ace 500 and love it! I haven't tried the 750, but I'd imagine you'll have a similar experience!

      Got the teradek 750... Much better quality, no compression problems, no delay. I returned the hollyland. Probably never going back to any other products for wireless transmission

    I'm really between the pyro S and the Cosmo C1, different classes but similar price points, one got 4k and the other SDI loop out.

    • @budget-church-livestreaming
      @budget-church-livestreaming  8 місяців тому

      Well, I wouldn't recommend the Pyro S. Can't speak to the Cosmo though

    • @samfurler
      @samfurler 8 місяців тому

      Cosmo c1 just seems to be a better standard than the pyro. Would have bought a pyro s, but now i just might buy another c1 or the new ace since the spark is discontinued.
      Teradek are just way better, but u pay for it. @@budget-church-livestreaming
