    Awesome video 🙏
I know multiple people have said this already but for a 10 year old video this is by far my favourite guide I've watched, you explain and showed everything very clearly, I appreciate people like you that take the time to upload helpful things.

9 years later and this saved my shotgun (had over oiled and neglected to clean, had to strip it down for it wouldn't release shells from tube) 😂 thankyou so much random internet stranger. Hope life is treating you well!

Thank you. I was having a lot of difficulty put my shotgun back together, after I disassembled it for the first time. Your video much clearer than the instructions that came with the maverick 88. Great job.😊❤

Thanks for watching! I hope you find it useful. I too am guilty of cleaning a few pistols the way you describe above. Seems to work well that way for awhile. I did this with a Ruger 10/22 and it caused a build up in the rear of the gun. When I actually disassembled the whole thing it was much dirtier than I ever thought. Now I just make sure to clean them right every time.

After shooting your firearms I was taught to always take care of them, and they will take care of you in return. If you plan on storing your firearm without using it for any length of time, it is recommended that you field strip and clean it. After a day at the range with this Mossberg Maverick Model 88 pump action shotgun, I demonstrate how to fully disassemble and then reassemble this gun during cleaning. Enjoy! This method also works on the Mossberg 500 pump action shotgun.

I recently got two maverick 88 on a trade and had no idea how to strip them. one was brand new so it was clean but the other was so gummed up I could barely work the pump action. thanks for the video. it was a huge help

Just received my aftermarket FOREND from AIM and wanted to remove the factory FOREND and replace it with the new one. As one of the other individuals already stated, "after looking at several other UA-cam assembly/disassembly videos, I found yours to be the only one that clearly depicted the internal chamber area and the parts within the receiver." Your slow, step by step instruction and your clear voice made each step of the assembly and disassembly easy to follow. This was my first time to disassemble and assemble my M88 and although it is not a complicated weapon, your instruction was excellent and made it easy for me to accomplish the exchange. Thank you.

Thank you so much man! I just bought a Maverick 88, first shotgun ever, and for some reason there wasn't a set of instructions in the box (good chance they're in the backseat of my car). Agree, yours is the best video out there. Pro tip: when you're reassembling, put the slide action in first. The action bars will stay out of the way to the side when you put the action, elevator, and bolt back in, and this way you don't have to fiddle with putting the action in the action bars, you can just line them up and drop in the action right in place.

Very helpful thank you for the tutorial, I will be changing my plastic for end, and stock, on my 88, so to change the for end, it's necessary to to strip the shot gun, to take off the for end

I recently acquired my 88 (first firearm!!) and I honestly can't tell you how awesome and educational this video was. Start to finish you made it clear and easy to follow, but most importantly YOU SHOWED THE INSIDE OF THE FIREARM!!!! In a few other videos I watched, the "teacher" did everything off screen....it was a nightmare.
Thanks so much! I saved this video down for future reference, you're a lifesaver.
    God Bless
