About Battle Aces - The tedious parts removed are the base building, so you can focus on microing and fighting and decisions related to those. This is a much faster game than StormGate, I think you got it the other way around. Game design and gameplay aside, I am excited for it but worried about the p2w elements in their chosen monetization, ie selling decks/units (or unlocking them by playing).
You mentioned that the game is less about micro, but it appears taht the micro is going to be the second most important thing, following your deck building. It will have less multitasking but it seems like BA will have higher APM
That's definitely not the vibe I got from the way they talked about it at Summer Game Fest, or the short writeup I found on steam. (steamcommunity.com/app/2682180). Did they have a press release that went into more detail about unit control I could check out? Edit: From how they talked about it on stage, I assumed that unit control was automatic similar to an auto-battle or auto-chess game, you dropped them from your deck and let them do their thing.
@@Tenkiei They have always said they cut out the macro/etc so you can focus on battles right away and people that played it (they invited a bunch of sc2 ytubers/progamers) have said as much as well.
That's unfortunate, tbh my interest in the game went way down then because I was hoping this would be the macro heavy RTS I could share with my more casual friends.

When I say "faster" I mean Stormgate requires high APM to play. Whereas Battle Aces requires low APM to play.

Excellent video good sir! I never played a lot of RTS games but Age of Mythology Retold looks sweet!
Age of Mythology always nailed the visual aspect, there's nothing cooler than watching a minotaur punt some enemy soldiers across the map.
I'm so excited for Expedition 33.
It looks very cool, but I definitely want to know more about the gameplay!
