Hey Gus, I came back to this video looking for you, I realized i had not seen a video from you in a long time. I really enjoyed all your videos and i hope you are doing well.
Hey Gus and world-wide viewers. First off, I am in no way finding fault with your warming procedure, just sharing my experience. I store my chunk honey in a deep freeze from creation to marketing. Of course, I still have crystallization on the grocery shelf. I also try and use Tupelo honey for chunk honey because of its very low crystallization properties and never ever use cotton honey. My warming cabinet is an old chest type deep freezer. I stopped using incandescent bulbs when, one day I went to get my liquefied honey and the bulbs were shot. I changed to a cheap ($7 or $8) Walmart, small space heater that has a built-in fan. Set it to “full on” and control it with a thermostat as you do. Over time, in my case, the space heater is more reliable, less expensive to install and operate. Also, I think Incandescent bulbs are well on their way to becoming extinct (replaced by LEDs). I place by jars in the warmer up-side-down (the flat bottom of the jar does not deform the comb).
Gus, very informative video! I know you have to be really careful to keep that comb in tact. What temperature ranges do you have your warming cabinet set to come on and off?
Great tip Gus. Oh by the way I have sent off a sample of that clear honey to get a definite pollen analysis on what the predominant source is. I will let you know once I find out the results.
Hey Gus, I really regret not being aware of your channel until recently. Our apiary is here in the lower thumb of Michigan. After hearing you on a reposted live chat with Brucesbees, I was incredibly impressed with your knowledge on several subjects in the beekeeping world. My big interest is in your Russian breeding. Do you ship to Michigan?
It was a nonworking commercial fridge, I used inkbird thermostat with lightbulbs and a computer fan. I have a video on it. 110°-120° on heat range, it will depend on how cold it is in the room etc.
What would happen if you kept that jar on its side in the warming cabinet all the time until it's sold? So that it doesn't crystalize up. Is there a certain amount of time to leave that in the warming cabinet?
The comb would get ragged because it’s soft and fragile, also the honey will darken. I talk about a good work around in my first chunk honey video, it’s linked at the end of this one.

Thanks for the tip.
Gus, very informative video! I know you have to be really careful to keep that comb in tact. What temperature ranges do you have your warming cabinet set to come on and off?
It depends on honeyhouse temps but typically range from 110° to 120°, and I set it to maintain the temp within a degree or two

Where do you get your honey tested for pollen analysis ?

Sweet just subbed. Does this decrystallise the honey in the comb too?
Mostly

Do you have a thermostat in your cabinet and if so what temperature are you maintaining?
I have a proofer for bread, would that work? What temp is your warming cabinet?
We miss your videos Gus, hope all is well.
What temp is your warming cabinet set at?
Nice, where did you get your heating unit ? Thank you ,oh and temp. ?

What is the temp for decrystalization?

@@gusmitchellcranesnesthoney6529 Thanks Gus! Hope to see your channel grow this year
What temp is that warming cabinet?
Depends on what I need to do and how cold it is in the honey house etc, this time ranged from 110°-120°
