I applaud you on making such a difficult challenge. Even if you don't sing and dance (which is practically impossible) you're sure to leave this video with a happy mood
I really like reading stories about how people got into kpop, since the most have different discovery stories. For me it was almost 8 years ago when I stumbled upon a cover for suju's Mr. Simple and got curious so I searched the original song and from then just started watching every super junior MV
I saw a tumblr post that went like "Summer songs according to your zodiac sign" and every single one led to View by Shinee loll I listened to it on repeat for a week, added more and more kpop to my playlist and never looked back :')
My gateway was BoA from watching Inuyasha on adult swim and then I searched her and just went down the rabbit hole there. Been almost 20 years now haha
I guess it was always part of me (old toy phones) and the world knowing about Psy. But fully knowing would be my old hs classmate showing people Cat and Dog by TXT. Yep, that sold me.
The golden era from 2012 and before are certified banger classics... Except for Crayon Pop Bar Bar Bar, it's an absolute banger to be a classic now, because from 2013 from now is not that old yet, but are absolute bangers, until 2023 will be absolute classics those iconic songs. man, the style back in the day, even if the golden era was over in 2012, in 2013 there were some remnants of the trendy style of the 2000s.
These groups and songs inspired me so much growing up. I’m in my late twenties now but when I was a teen I auditioned a lot and actually ended up on an SBS show and got flown out to Korea. Such a great memory. Felt good to listen to these songs again ❤ dancing and singing are my first loves and kpop gave me the confidence to pursue my dream.
I regularly listened only to girl groups during this era, but I miss this era. Kpop fandom was fun, and chill. Real fans who love the music more than the artists. All the songs sound more authentic, too.
I was only checking out this video to check out kpop songs, since I’ve only just recently got into it a little more, but even I couldn’t resist bopping along to some of these songs.
A lot of songs were difficult, but I managed to just smile in most cases, except Gangnam Style, which made me laugh when it came on. It was especially difficult with BoA songs because tbh I've followed her on and off since 'Every Heart' was in Inuyasha, so her music is very nostalgic... but I managed to clear everything without breaking the rules 😅
First kpop song I ever heard was Wonder Girls Tell Me ... I loved the whole thing and the video. I was hooked on kpop after that. I'm really glad I discovered it during this time period because I really think some of the best music came out of this period. New Kpop just is really missing something ... (not just BRIDGES 🤣) I'm also glad that I dug into the classics and all of the pioneers from there. I really developed an appreciation of where kpop came from and learned to appreciate Kim Wan-sun 🥰and others. Dancing Queens On The Road was like my DREAM show. I wished more current kpop fans could appreciate something like that 💗

Great walk down memory lane!!! Lots of fantastic and iconic songs! I hope new fans of kpop give these a listen.
Ignored the rules and enjoyed the music. There's something about these songs that I miss. Twas as 2011-2012 and I was a new kpop fan. I remember unnies back then are so welcoming in the community. I was welcomed by Primadonna seniors, Blackjack seniors, VIP seniors, VIP seniors and ELF seniors. Exo-L were just babies back then. We talked about how the music video look and how wonderful the songs are. There were some hatred but mostly against kpop fans but it was quite peaceful and the community was loving. I just dont know what happened.
Legend songs. It's just impossible to pass this, especially if you're an old fan of kpop 😂
Considering I'm a more recent Kpop fan, (2017)
I'm proud of myself for knowing the majority of these songs!
Same 2017 but I enjoy old songs more than new ones
@@Inheowetrust ukrrrrrr
Me too and I enjoy all these songs so much
Same!
Same
Lost the challenge at 0:35 seconds!
Same, I changed it to "Sing along" 🤣
i swear this just randomly popped up in my recommended and i instantly clicked. so many good memories, man.
I miss SO MUCH the old kpop
Bigbang's HaruHaru got me lol. I just cant 🤣🤣 I need to sing along with it 💛💛💛
I cried lol 😂 It’s mandatory for me to cry lol
Yes!!! You can NOT resist to haru Haru. You must sing out loud
I applaud you on making such a difficult challenge. Even if you don't sing and dance (which is practically impossible) you're sure to leave this video with a happy mood
How can I not sing to BIGBANG songs especially Haru Haru?! Idk all of the songs above, but it's nice to see the groups up there
Haru haru is where i started my journey into kpop.
I really like reading stories about how people got into kpop, since the most have different discovery stories. For me it was almost 8 years ago when I stumbled upon a cover for suju's Mr. Simple and got curious so I searched the original song and from then just started watching every super junior MV
Basically the exact same thing happened to me! Suju is still my favorite after all these years!
I saw a tumblr post that went like "Summer songs according to your zodiac sign" and every single one led to View by Shinee loll I listened to it on repeat for a week, added more and more kpop to my playlist and never looked back :')
Super Junior was the first K-pop boy group I listened to. Still love them to this day.
2nd Gen was such a legendary time.
You got me on the first song ahh Wonder Girls, such a legend, 😂
These groups and songs inspired me so much growing up. I’m in my late twenties now but when I was a teen I auditioned a lot and actually ended up on an SBS show and got flown out to Korea. Such a great memory. Felt good to listen to these songs again ❤ dancing and singing are my first loves and kpop gave me the confidence to pursue my dream.
I lost as soon as Haru Haru started. Like I can't NOT sing along to that one!
Bigbang, g dragon, taeyang ❤❤
"Replay" was enough for me to break. Almost all SM songs were hard and surprisingly the ballads were tough since I knew all the words.
the golden era of kpop. i like those songs.
Waaa I really remember Lollipop 2NE1 & Bigbang, Nobody but you Wonder girls I’m still in Elementary School when I hear both music
I will enjoyyyyy my 2nd generation kpop era if I know I will miss that era so much and it will never come back again
just golden era of kpop
Congrats!
If there’s one thing I’m grateful for it’s that most young kpop idols know the biggest hits from old kpop like abracadabra
I didn't even tried, just came here for the songs of my era
I lost when Haru Haru came on, and then decided to jam out for the rest of the video.
It makes me sad how many of these songs I completely forgot existed... But I remember all the words and dances! Thanks for bringing all the memories
