as a korean american born and raised in korea around the time when a lot of the second generation songs, for some reason, i gotta say, the 2007-2013 songs sound really nostalgic! (i moved to america in 2013)
we love older kpop song. mainly because our older sister/brother play it back then and we as a kid just vibing with the song ;). watching their mv back, we can see how fast the fashion change hahahah. back then their outfit was the most fashionable .

This video is kinda sad actually, I listen to most of the songs here when I was in highschool, during this time, I don't really stan one group, because everyone is worth "stanning", kpop during this is not just this group or that group, no fandom supremacy whatsoever.. Now, 10 years after, everything is just so toxic it makes me puke.

I don't know, I think.. Because I remember before, there were only like 3 of us in the room who actually like kpop, and we were prejudiced because of our taste in music, so, it feels like we need to support each other even if we have different biases (?), and I remember being friends with some int fans as well, so for most parts, things were cordial. Now that kpop has become this big, I think extremist or toxic fans also became a big thing in the international scene. I mean, kpop fandom before is not that healthy, but now, I think people need to mentally and emotionally prepare themselves before they choose to expose themselves to kpop.

This video is kinda sad actually, I listen to most of the songs here when I was in highschool, during this time, I don't really stan one group, because everyone is worth "stanning", kpop during this is not just this group or that group, no fandom supremacy whatsoever.. Now, 10 years after, everything is just so toxic it makes me puke.

@@NaraKwonPoD yeah, ur right. I think I'm just sentimental and all.. But looking at how it was before kpop became this big, I think this extreme Stan culture mostly existed within kfans(?) I don't know, I think.. Because I remember before, there were only like 3 of us in the room who actually like kpop, and we were prejudiced because of our taste in music, so, it feels like we need to support each other even if we have different biases (?), and I remember being friends with some int fans as well, so for most parts, things were cordial.
Now that kpop has become this big, I think extremist or toxic fans also became a big thing in the international scene. I mean, kpop fandom before is not that healthy, but now, I think people need to mentally and emotionally prepare themselves before they choose to expose themselves to kpop.
