For real when UKISS 0330 started playing I was crying like crazy for some reasons idk ahhahaha I really miss 2nd gen kpop big time and I can't believe I used to be and I'm still am a KISSME, Inspirits, BlackJack,B2uty/Light, ELF, Bestfriend, BANA,VIP, ZE:A's, Primadonna, L.O.^.E, Angel and even though I wasn't a fan of both MBLAQ and After School I still supported them until the end.......... this makes me miss HS too me and friends used to borrow a cd stereo player and dance to their songs until we get scolded by our teachers

To all the new k-pop fans out there: sorry, we're not trying to attack you by saying that the 2nd gen was the best and that your (newer) groups don't have talent. They do. It's just that the 2nd gen holds a very special place in our hearts (same with 1st gen- for all the fans that felt that they were attacked by 2nd gen fans at that time :P ). The thing is that as that transition from the 2nd-3rd generation happened, the sound and quality of music in "k-pop" changed - not necessarily a bad thing. It's just the struggles of every generation and the fans. As for why we call 2nd Gen the "Golden Era" of Kpop- well, it was during this time when K-pop really became known and grew internationally (based on the foundation laid by the 1st Gen). The same will happen to the 3rd Gen, 4th... and so forth. So please let's not fight/be defensive about our groups as it really becomes petty and sad. We can all be civil and just be respectful of one another. Hope this makes sense. Sorry for the long rant. I just want to extend a hand to all new k-pop fans out there. Hearing this makes us missing all those moments during the Golden Kpop Era (2007-2012). But it’s funny that we don’t remind each other of this one particular funny moment. Which is, each fandoms bashing another fandoms because they don’t like the other kpop groups. I still remember, as a Hottest and JYP stan, I am not very fond of groups from SM, especially Suju (but i do listen to other groups’ songs sometimes). But now thinking back, all those act of immature just meh 💁🏻♀️😂 And ofc the news of Jonghyun and Sulli broke my heart as well because I used to enjoy to their songs and shows. So literally here, when we grow up, we realised actually our own perspective towards one thing would never be same along the time. Ten years ago, we see kpop as competition, eagerness, and our own “world”. But now, we might see kpop as soothing moments, childhood memories and life experiences. Im from Senegal and i felt like i was the only one in my country who was in love with kpop, kdrama, kfood, etc, but now i am glad that there are more and more people who love Korea as well. I came across this playlist randomly while trying to find a playlist of old songs. UA-cam somehow combined my strong interest in kpop with my new interest in older songs and presented me this beautiful mix. I may not know much or anything about 2nd gen kpop (I only listen to 4th gen, sometimes 3rd gen), nor do I know most of these groups, but this playlist is easily my favourite right now. I don't know how to put it into words, but the voices, the music, the instrumentals...they hit different. It's comforting. It's a softer alternative to the usually upbeat and powerful kpop songs I'm used to blasting, and I like it. I'll be trying to find more playlists like this. Thank you for making this one. 🤍

I came across this playlist randomly while trying to find a playlist of old songs. UA-cam somehow combined my strong interest in kpop with my new interest in older songs and presented me this beautiful mix. I may not know much or anything about 2nd gen kpop (I only listen to 4th gen, sometimes 3rd gen), nor do I know most of these groups, but this playlist is easily my favourite right now. I don't know how to put it into words, but the voices, the music, the instrumentals...they hit different. It's comforting. It's a softer alternative to the usually upbeat and powerful kpop songs I'm used to blasting, and I like it. I'll be trying to find more playlists like this. Thank you for making this one. 🤍
