May sound weird, but your videos are always kinda relaxing in a certain way
soft spoken ASMR like Bob Ross
Why would that sound weird?
@@TyEats2200 Sth being relaxing is usually a positive thing but it may not be his intention
only because is voice is soft and he doesnt have those crazy background music and transition. He gets straight to the job
That's a very unique, very cool Game Boy!
I like your most mods and video. I still watch your video sometimes 👍
I ordered one of these for my GBA last year, but I was still very new to soddering and chickened out on tying to install it. Now I'm a little more experienced and a little more confident with a soddering iron, but now my taste changed and I like my consoles to look more like the OEM versions while being deceptively modernized. lol
Hah I know the feeling, it’s funny how our tastes can change so much within something like this.
Yay! Finally another video from Sean!!!
Nice! I’ve been wanting to get some of her kits.
Awesome video Awesome Gameboy with light up controls
Cool stuff sean glad to see you back at it again
Looks so awesome! I'm working on one similar but for the DMG
I find that the control panel doesn’t fit in the battery compartment… you have the best video on this mod and I appreciate this post so much.
Any help with a solution would be really appreciated
Woah can't wait to see the game you're working on!
I have some one who wants to put this on their GBC. I had zero clue it was even an option. I'm glad you posted this
Didn't realize how easy this kit was to install, maybe it's time to pick one up!
Also, question, what temperature do you keep your iron on when working on Gameboys? I feel like I've been keeping mine too low out of caution to not damage the board, but the solder definitely takes longer to heat for my projects then it seems to take in your vids.
Awesome vid. I think I'm gonna give this a try
Great vid! Thanks for the shoutout! 😁
Thank you u did make a video
Sick mod!
Do you have to use the power bulb that comes with the board or can I use the original bulb? If you don’t use the board then it will still work?
You can use just the light up button part if you want. The power indicator is optional.
i wonder if its too much for a clear shell would be interested to see.
If I did the paint mod you showed a few years ago with a clear shell, do you think the light would bleed through? Or is it opaque enough to not effect it? Would be a cool video if you demonstrated it. :)
Hmm, might show through a little but I’m not sure! I’ll have to dig out an old shell and test it :)
@@esotericsean Btw, what colors of paint did that company you used have? Any other colors besides white?
@@LibertyFixxxer oh they make a million colors! Montana Gold was the brand. Molotov is another really good one, maybe even better than Montana.
If it turns on the shuts off immediately what could be the issue?
12:22 Where dit you buy this buttons?
Yesterday’s Tech :)
It looks like the power indicator was not lighting up
It does light up, but looking at it now it’s kinda directional so it didn’t show up too well on camera. The newer boards shouldn’t have that issue.
But why
Cause he can XD
I didn't see the power light turn on. Did I miss something?
You’re right, the power LED was actually halfway falling off. But I fixed it in another video.
@@esotericsean wow, was it sent that way, or did it happen during the installation?
@@narnian19 this was an original prototype so it wasn’t as sturdy as the ones they sell now. Not sure who’s fault it was but it was easy to solder back on.
@@esotericsean that's what matters most, being able to fix it easily. I got the funny playing lights and it was easy to install. Had to fix a few solder points, but it went in easy.
What games are you playing these days?
Please speak up.
I find that the control panel doesn’t fit in the battery compartment… you have the best video on this mod and I appreciate this post so much.
Any help with a solution would be really appreciated
Thanks! Appreciate that. :) and yeah it’s a very tight fit. It would definitely fit better on the other side of the motherboard, ideally in gap above the buttons, centered. But it would obviously be pretty difficult to turn it on and off that way. The new version (ARC GBC) has built in brightness that you can change with buttons, so that could be another option…
@@esotericsean I truly appreciate the quick response as I know this video was posted awhile ago 🙏🙏🙏
I appreciate the advice and I think that might be a better idea for me atm but for now I guess I havE full brightness with no switch lol
This has been my second mod so very new to all this but it has been quite fun !
@@esotericsean Also, I forgot to sub and just did 👍 and do you post your own home brew games that’s really cool !
