- With all the memes about Pokemon Generation 5 music, why not discuss the original Pokemon music meme, Generation 3. Ruby and Sapphire's use of trumpets really defines it, so let's take a look at some of that music.

He always does
I love the variety of emotion I can still attach to the music in Hoenn, from the peaceful and relaxing Oceanic Museum and Lilycove Art Museum themes to the Battle Fronteir Leader theme that still makes my hands sweat!
Route 113 is heavily underrated and the best route track imo.
Route 110

Route 120. Period.

Emerald was my first pokemon game when it first came out when I was a wee lad the music makes me feel stuff I haven't felt in over a decade
Ending theme still gives me chills, Good memories of a simpler time
Low key felt myself almost crying at some parts, what a journey. This game was HUGE for me, it was the first pokemon game I got to try before moving from Peru to the USA. It reminds me of such a weird and exciting time. From catching my first legendary to freaking the fuck out when I randomly found latias. I had no access to common pokemon knowledge on the internet, so this truly was a blind playthrough until the end. Thank you so much for this video
Gen 3 slapping tho 😤👏
No clappin
Meteor falls and legendary theme
Mt chimney bruh that shit slaps
This gen has the best rival theme, and you explained perfectly why i love it so much
This video is really well-explained, hearing how calming you are while passionately explaining is really awesome.
This might be a conservational opinion but if I had to rank the final battle themes:
1. Elite 4 Theme
2. Battle Frontier
3. Stevens Theme
I’m sorry, but the CLAPS go HARD for the elite 4
Agreed
I thought that this was a meme, thankfully I was wrong.
Dude your videos are awesome.
but honestly, gen 3's music does kinda hit hard. but in a different way.
🎺🎺🎺
🎺🎺🎺
The self defeating nostalgia is so strong with this game. R/S/E was my transition from elementary school to high school. I was 8 in 2003 and 10 in 2005 and i played all 3 profoundly until i was 13
Gen 3 memes with the trumpets were amazing.
Funny part about this, the main parts of every track that people think are trumpets are actually French horns
I wouldn't say Gen 3's music slaps, it just envokes a completely different feeling. It. Has. POWER.
Gen 3's title theme will always give me more chills than any other. It is _so_ intimidating. Since I grew up with me, hearing _any_ track from this game makes me choke up a little. There must be something special about it, because I also grew up on Gen 5 a few years later, and while I love that game and it's music to death, most of the music doesn't make me choke up as much. LeafGreen was my first game period and it doesn't make me feel the same way.
Well, instead of gen 5, gen 3 is the second with the most "hit different" meme videos in youtube.
And yeah you are right
EVERY theme of Hoenn slaps hard
PD: You deserve respect for this video and my favorite is the Regis Theme
Verdanturf theme is ❤
God damn the nostalgia almost made me cry. Easily my favorite region.
Me too
3:43 That was the most poetic way of saying it
TO BE HONEST although pokemon music has always been consistently excellent
they started getting brave with gen 3
also overall best ost in the franchise (even though y'all thing every synth with shaky ending and a lot of reverb is a trumpet)
Thanks for making this video! My favorites will always be gen3 and the way you described your rivals theme was so spot on and captured everything I felt as a kid playing this game!! Great analysis man!!
Man, I love this videos.
i started to watch this but i literally cant handle the nostalgia this late at night, saving for later, seems very good!
Gen 5: we better at hits a different
Gen 3: Hold My Trainer and Pokeball
I remember when I was 8 years old I got my first ever video game, Pokemon ruby for the gameboy advance sp. And I still have my exact same gameboy and ruby sitting on my shelf to this day that I replay every now and then. God this game meant so much to me, especially when I hear that soundtrack :')
This is what I love, the channels that talk about games and their music it's perfect for me
My first entry was Sapphire and the Rival theme was always the theme that pumped me up, and everyone knows that road where you had to back paddle just cause you could’ve been under leveled or unprepared.still one of my highlights from my childhood
Ending theme is gold.
Loving these videos!
Came in expecting a meme, then we got us a well thought out and excellently executed oral essay. Great job man.
this is how I stumble upon all his videos
Meteor Falls/Cave of Origin, and Route 113 are completely goated tracks. I think especially Meteor Falls’s theme has a good theme of mystery attached to it
Ahhhh, all of this ost gives me goosebums!
I’ve been waiting my whole life for this day to come.
so much of my time back in the day spent just sitting around listening to the music~
I hold this game and it’s music close to my heart because I got a ds and Pokémon ruby for one of my birthdays and it was one of the funnest games I’d ever played. At least once every year I revisit the similar feeling by playing omega ruby and just enjoying my time
I hope you get more recognised, you make some sick content dude!
>Not playing the Superior Emerald intro movie
YOU WERE LIKE A BROTHER TO ME!!!!!!!
0:09 Deoxys' eyes are spine-chilling :'0 ♡
And my favourite Pokémon appeared in Gen 3. Also my favourite mystical Pokémon also appeared here too. I really enjoyed playing Pokémon Emerald. It will always have a special part in my heart. And my Gardevoir and my Deoxys!
Emerald was my first pokemon game and it is permanently in my head. I've beat it at least 8 times in one way or another.
Pokemon Ruby was my first game ever, and every song gives me so much nostalgia. Gen 3 is and always will be my favorite.
Bro that ending theme always makes me tear up a little, no matter how many times I hear it
You need way more subs.. I’m subscribing
I WAS FUCKIN CRYING THROUGHOUT THIS, OMFG!! THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS! 😭
I played the ending theme Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald when the credits roll when i graduated from college and reflected on the amazing 5 years i spent there. While taking this 2-hour train ride home for the last time.
Hoen being my favorite gen and listen to the ost when I'm alone chilling doing collage work but gen 5 is when ur vibing
That was the first Gen that makes me got goose bumps, and you speaked about it so well, thanks for the vid you made me fall for another adventure in Hoen region now! love and peace for pokemon fans! Gen 3 Slaps too hard!!
Yeah, the credits/end song hits so different that I sometimes tear up from the song/nostalgia.
I must say as someone who watched the hoen anime but never played the games. I always wondered how good the games were. Playing oras last month I completely fell in love with this franchise once again. It really moved me with the music and story. I’d say that oras are the perfect games to get someone to love the entire franchise for a long time.
I would try playing Emerald! I was a huge anime fan and Gen 3 was my favorite region in all aspects of the franchise, but the ORAS remakes disappointed me quite a bit. I only got to play Sapphire, which was good, but I’m suggesting Emerald because I think it would expand on the storyline in necessary ways. I would also check out the original Pokémon Ranger game and Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Red/Blue, which came out at around the same time. They helped cement my love for this era, and I actually liked them more than the mainline games. I love the original music from Gen 3, not so much the remakes.
Not sure why I'm getting teary eyed, but I am.
Gen 3: Trumpets, Trumpets Everywhere!!!! 🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺🎺
My introduction to Pokemon games was Emerald
Battling Kyogre or Groudon feels EPIC everytime the music is playing and the soundtrack for litteroot town is just chill and I love it
emerald enters the chat:*TRUMPETS*
I'm not gonna do it, I'm not gonna do it, I'm not gonna-- [first note of credits theme plays]
[CRIES LIKE A BABY]
Goodness the nostalgia watching this. Hearing Littleroot's theme made me tear up a bit
One of the reasons why Gen 3 is my favorite
everybody is having their nostalgia rush for black and white rn. x and y is next
For sure, i cant wait to see all the x and y haters saying how much they like x and y
@@Abyzzol I can’t wait to see the Gen 7 haters start loving on Ultra Sun. Hopefully that’ll happen while the GTS is still functioning so there might actually be enough people there for me to get my living dex together.
Verdanturf towns music is so calming and relaxing too honestly
Amazing video. My favorite pokemon gamen. Keep with the good work. i really want to see u in HD hahaha.
The end theme gets me every time
Sapphire was the first game where I made it to the Elite Four on my own. As such it has my favorite Elite Four theme. I never did beat them till Alpha Sapphire, but just getting to them was such a proud moment for me.
Hell yes
Gen 3 and gen 5 definitely slaps
They give you a freaking rush of nostalgia
I remember playing Pokémon for the 1st time! It was 2014 with ORAS and it was magical
even with the fact i played emerald a few weeks ago, i started crying a little bit from nostalgia while watching this video
18 years ago. Damn.❤️
Meteor Falls, Verdenturf Town, the Elite 4 theme, the legendary theme, and Sootopolis City are classics for me
honestly, i think the reason gen 5's music is more of a meme than gen 3's is BECAUSE it hits hard, and not because it's adventurous.
gen 3 is better and I'm sorry to say that.
@@justsomeguywholikeswater3566 ur moms better
@@ilovesatan4525 are you a 9 year old
@@justsomeguywholikeswater3566 he probably is
@@ilovesatan4525 I think that's a compliment.
The beginning of the title theme makes me tingly
I was born in 2003 but pokemon emerald was my first pokemon game because of my brothers hand me down and honeslty I'm so thankful for that !
I've never played 3rd gen games completely because of my age (and because it was my brothers game) but the credits theme hit me hard in the feels evern though I heard it for the first time in this video.
I absolutely always love most of Hoenn's music, but the Oceanic Museum's theme always had a place in my heart. I still hum or whistle it to myself kind of regularly,
Oceanic Museum is just a slowed version of SS Anne but still it sounds nice
Other songs may set the mood like Eterna Forest; telling us a person's history like Alder's theme; fitting the score of an actual movie like An Eternal Prison; and nothing says your fighting a Gym leader better then "Battle! Gym Leader Theme" from gen 8; but bro, that Dive theme in Gen 3 is something Special.
routes 113, 120, 121, 122-123, mount pyre inside and out, Dive theme, the Team Leader themes, Sootopolis, Sky Pillar, Abandoned Ship, the E4 themes, the Regi battles, the Rayquaza battle, the song that plays when Kyogre/Groudon start getting uppity..
Gen 3's route 120 with the trumpets is an (Absol)ulte banger and an essential song that has to be downloaded on my smartphone every time i have to buy a new phone.
I just cried looking this ....
Dude. To be 6 years old again, playing Pokémon
It does make you cry
As somebody who grew up with only a Pokemon Ruby cartridge and a purple GBA, the theme and the music of that game will forever be a part of me.
mt. pyre summit theme hits insanely hard
elite fout battle song is my goat hands down. that intro is just too damn hype
Verdanturf town is a good song to remind me of my childhood
Emerald was the first game I ever played so Wallace and his theme will always be my favorite of the champions
i love gen 3 but my god gen 5 music hits you like a train
Gen 5 let us be allies in this war of power
Why is the champion battle theme not heard in the vid when it's talked about?
also i thought the pokemon shown in the credits sequence are the same in each playthrough
Overall, gen 3 is the first Pokémon game I’ve played and I adore it to pieces. Boy I wish I had a Gameboy and it’s game cartridge.
gen 3's music slaps harder than my nostalgia when i boot up my old ruby save file....
Ok, my opinion is also biased since emerald was my first poke game to be completed seriously, and I have to say that the ending theme literally threw me to tears. The nostalgia I felt from it wasn't even normal cause I was still playing the game lmao but fr, I love it 😭😭🤧🤧🤧💕💕💕
The mirage island theme really slap hard on me
Gen 3 music is the epitome of "A victory well earned"
because HOT DAMN Do I still have ptsd from fighting wallace. That man OHKO'd my rayquaza back then and Im still given the epitome of FEAR if i ever so much go back into my old save files to fight that man.
What was that animation at the beginning of the video? It looked really good
Route 113 is my favorite route theme. It’s so unique
The only reason I joined band and wanted a trumpet. + omega ruby was my first pokemon game.
Gen3 was revolutionary, it really made me fall in love w/Pokémon
The music in all the Pokémon gen’s slap, no matter what
Me : *hearing all battle theme in gen 3*
Also me : MY EARS BURNT
I came for the meme, I stayed for the good video
TRUMPET BLAST!!!!!
I hate the fact that few people got to witness that Battle Frontier Brain's theme. It's still, to this day, the most awesome soundtrack I've ever heard in a Pokemon game. Even more because of the way to get there, was extremely hard. It's the perfect theme for a final boss's final boss.
