- Garbage review about the third Pokemon generation. Pokemon Ruby and sapphire. A funny pokemon video is hard to make because every joke has been made. I put an emphasis on the story of team magma. I should have reviewed sapphire at the same time and talk about the differences but I realized that way to late. I hope it's entertaining.

Funnily enough, you can't nickname a pokemon with it's species name. The game will just acts like you didn't give it a nickname if you try and when it evolves, it's name changes as usual.Which means he had to change its name back to Mudkip after it evolved.

Kyogre appearing constantly was the best running gag I’ve ever seen... I thought it was funny the first time, then on the water it appeared again, and I nearly spat out my drink, I thought it was over, and then it came back right when I least expected it... I was nearly in tears.
It's sad, but catching an electrode with a masterball is exactly what I did the first time I played Sapphire.

Nah, you can catch it in other points of dialogue throughout the game where it shows he named his character Red when in the beginning he said it was spike. He sped parts like this up intentionally to feed the joke he made in the beginning.

Yeah Digimon had a lot more going for it story wise. It was obviously the kind of power-level stuff you expect from anime targeted at kids but you felt the story progress more than in Pokemon.
I think the concept behind the anime hindered its videogame adaptations. Digimon world (first one) was the one that I enjoyed the most. Mainly because it actively sidestepped the limitations of Digimon by having them die and respawn as different Digimon. Didn't need those super specific rules for how to "train" into specific Digimon though.
God I wish the videogames of today had the same element of discovery, the hearsay of how to find Mew in Red/Blue and missing no were extremely attractive gameplay elements.
+DivinityOfBLaze Yeah Digimon Tamers (With the red agumon) was the best season IMO. Written by the guy who wrote Lain. Also some of the digimon games are great, still play 1 and 3.

8:21 kyogre comes out of a master ball but kilian clearly used the master ball for an electrode, he must've found the secret evolution of electrode like with shuckle and evolved it into a kyogre
