The severity ranges from mild to severe with lot of variation in symptoms.

Thanks for pointing...yes it is not in DSM V, and has been labeled as 'Social Communication Disorder", but the features are almost same.
Regarding ADHD, I stated that history of first 12 years is important because in mild cases or over the period features does fade in natural environment. This is a reason that many such cases are diagnosed in adulthood because their early years went unnoticed due to lack of awareness or denial at parent's end.

When Autism is intellectual disability then initially our goals must be targeted towards basic life skills i.e. communication, socialisation, self help / daily living skills etc. As the child improves upon these basics then cognitive and academic skills may be introduced at gradual pace (not over burdening the child. I always suggest to keep your expectations as per child’s abilities...it helps in progression of development. Keep increasing your goals as the child achieve assigned tasks.
Working on a child having any disorder depends upon:
Methods of teaching required for that specific disorder,
Age of child,
Present level of functioning of child etc.
In coming videos I will discuss and share tips for working with different types and levels of children on ASD, hopefully that will help you for putting in best efforts for your ward. In shaa Allah.

i see the common cause is mother stress and depeession during pregnancy...husband and inlaws keep mother in stress throughout pregnancy and after pregnancy .the even suffer post partumdepression.. tey to keep mother happy in ur home. if u cant then let her go to her home so that her parenrs and brothres sisters can help her ..and keep her happy.so you can have normal child. without adhd and asd

Rabia Sohail Apparently the signs are of ASD...pl look for main symptoms; Attention deficiency, Lack of processing, Repetitive behaviours, Lack of Socialisation, Lack of Communication (already noticed), Hyperactivity (already noticed). If these symptoms are there then he is on spectrum. Once delay is noticed then it is important to work on him. Pl get help from videos on “Pre Learning Skills” and “Understanding ASD”...these will help. In shaa Allah.

Can you please suggest whether Hijama can be helpful in ADHD/ASD. Yet to meet doctor, the doctor claims it will remove heavy metals and toxins in 5 sitting (each sitting interval of 15 days) and will make the child calm and impry in concentration. Sir, what will you suggest
Khurshid Alam Khan Wa Alaikum Assalam...Hijama is proven for health from Ahadeeths...Detoxification is again a process recommended for recovery from autism as per Bio-medical approach. With these facts, I haven’t personally seen any case of ASD who got benefited by these. Pl get knowledge on these at your end to decide. Thanks

Nimra Asim There are many professionals and institutes but it is Very difficult to recommend any. I will suggest to pl educate yourself on the subject...this will help you for knowing the best place for your child. In shaa Allah.

The child doesn't have speech issues, the speech mechanism is in tact... he is basically repeating the pattern adopted once he was in early years (period before achieving verbal language). Once he conveys a thing in non verbal way and you get it, then get his attention and make him listen verbally e.g. if he wants to tell (by gestures) to take a car at that time let him listen "I want car", after few day''s trial gradually fade by just saying "I want....", "I wa.....". Consistent drills will encourage verbal response in repetition.
For long run and permanent remedy; get his attention and talk more to him, explain simple procedures in routine to time, give him bed time stories, involve him in picture description, randomize every possible thing, play more with the child focusing pre learning skills.

My son can memories all his ryhems and song what i sing to him he is good at academic wise his was gr8 at his playschool first we thought he is just reserved. But it was high tym were he had to communicate his feelings n gestures. He sing song with full lyrics and with exact tune the words he say is clear but when conversations are there nothing from his side.

Monika Arora Using his reinforcements and interests to make him sit in that environment for couple of weeks teacher may organise seating arrangement where he can’t leave seat/ class....gradually he will start tolerating and accept sitting there. Repetitiveness will also help it.
Also control junk food containing processed sugar, food colours and stop/ reduce exposure to screens.

@@monikaarora8634 Work on randomization in all environments and activities focus more on pre learning skills, as long term goal. For short term goal avoid opportunities of hitting in that environment, involve him in social interaction in supervision where he should not hit rather interact by giving, taking, sharing etc. Use pictures / social stories for teaching him.
Depending upon the strengthening of behaviour it might take more time, so be consistent.
