- Emergency Alert System (EAS) scenario. In exactly 3 hours, at 6:00pm, the annual purge will begin. As every year, Connecticut is the last state to host this special event.

Yeah, that 80% drop is just all of them going to the purge. It’s like saying that felonies are way down but that’s only because most of them are wrongly classified as misdemeanors.

If a purge actually happened and all jail officers stopped working, couldn't all the state's convicts just be free to walk out of their respected jail completely legally?
Theorically you could commit a crazy crime right before the purge and walk out of jail since engaging in said crime pre purge would be tougher to pull off (ehh depends).
they could leave the jail but at the end must come back to complete their sentence

@@stevenroshni1228 That's my thought too. Even in jurisdictions where escaping from prison in itself is not illegal, prisoners are still hunted by the police until their sentence is over
The Purge is an amazing set piece, but when you try and make sense of it, it becomes quite tedious lmao.
I love The Purge as a series and I’ve binged every movie up to The Forever Purge, but in actuality the sheer chaos and destruction that would unfold (corporations destroying each other, small businesses all set aflame, the immense property damage that would come with it all, innocent people being killed and brutalized, or having their livelihoods sacked and just the amount of damage that would go into stuff like water systems, roads, electrical station etc. would turn the country into a shithole.

Most likely the children one is a gentleman's rule that is simply endorsed by the state.

You should make an EAS scenario where soldiers from the Civil War rise from the dead form back up into armies and attack what were the key cities during the civil war such as Atlanta Savannah Washington D.C Richmond and Petersburg ect
Edit: I do not believe the original comment clearly expressed what the suggestion is, the suggestion is for Civil War soldiers wether it be Infantry Cavalry Navy (as well as their horses and battleships) or Artillery to come back from the dead as well as leaders in the government at the time such as Jefferson Davis and Abraham Lincoln, they will battle each other for cities and land that would of been in the United States at the time, so any town or city created after April 9th 1865 will essentially not exist to them if they are fired upon by civilians or modern day armed forces they will believe that they are the opposing force, they will only use technology that was around at the time and will construct infrastructure for their use.
