Although this is a "Citizen's Defense Group", an organization that takes itself seriously like this one would come up with a more professional sounding emergency alert, especially if it can be banned at anytime. You'd want it to be super concise and have it get it's point across really easily to as many people as possible. This feels more like a monologue from your friend telling you about the dangers of an event. Looking forward to future works!

nah it makes enough sense to me. if they’re doing this in opposition to the government they’d want to appeal to being the “citizens” or “populace” instead of an equally bearoucratic entity that could be easily painted as a foriegn government or nonstate terrorist force
@@290coolkid that would just simply not work. It would make them seem unprofessional and make this all seem like a really poor taste poorly planned prank by some random schmutz. If anything, being that unprofessional would only make it that much easier for any media coverups to paint the story as "batshit insane" or the likes of that

Government: Doing some very important things without doing the proper job of informing people what's going on, what they can do to prepare and survive, and only informing the public the day ON THE METEOR DISASTER and even then just tells them to seek shelter and doesn't elaborate anything more than that and overall did some pretty shady stuff in the span of 2 years.
Some random organization that hijacked a TV program just to inform the public and to give them advice on what to do: Fine we'll do it ourselves..
Countries will most likely go in to chaos because of public panic and sometimes it's better for stuff to be censored
This seems terrifying, and honestly realistic as hell. It really shows that there is so much we dont know about what the government does. I wouldnt be surprised if something like this happens in the future, and thats a terrifying thought. You did great on this, keep up the awesome work!

For me these guys look like the ones who just want to make people panic. Really, their statements look too serious to constantly refer to "secret data, stolen by super-hackers that we will show some time later". If they really stole it, they should have shared their sources, nothing prevented them from it. This may mean either that author means that this EAS authors are in fact troublemakers who want to make people panic, or they have a point, but they don't really have much proofs to their point.
I listen to this video and I remember some conspiracy theories followers, who constantly refer to "secret information", or stories about some person that "seen everything".
If author of this video wanted to depict terrorists who want to destabilise the situation in the world by telling doubtful information - he did great. If he didn't want it - it is still interesting anyway.

Honestly, this is your 2nd best EAS so far. While you’ve done an asteroid EAS before, this one is debatably better due to its twist that the government doesn’t want you to know, and that it’s a 3rd party informing you of the disaster. Keep up the good work!
PS, I think a sequel to this EAS would be SUPER cool. Maybe we could potentially get to see the governments perspective?

I like the art and concept behind this EAS! My issue: it's not incredibly concise. It's written like a speech or essay, rather than an alert.
Usually in an EAS, you want to:
-Detail instructions promptly
-Minimize flavor words that contribute to neither the scenario nor "informing the public"
-Avoid contradictions of information

Exactly! It's called an Emergency for a reason, they do not have the time to get into the nitty gritty and explain things as if it were a business presentation
It's a group that hacked the US government, they are not authorized to transmit that alert, and they give all the information because they want to help the population, they don't want to be professionals, they just want to transmit the information as quickly as possible

I think this is a fantastic scenario, exploring the idea of governments hiding important information from the public, although my one problem is that it is actually too well edited, so it doesn’t feel like an analog television. Other than that, this was amazing, great job!

i adore this channel so much, i've been looking for some more suspenseful "horror" that isn't just cheep jump scares, but I love that this channel make you think about the in-between details, and makes me want to imagine how i would act during these, look forward to many more!!

I am in love with these videos. I watched all of the EAS SCP videos the other night and they kept me entertained and intrigued. This is the first one I watched that doesn't deal with SCPs. I tried scanning the QR codes and if they would've taken me to another website it would've made the video more realistic.
Eh I heard that the QR codes were just rickrolls tho when I tried to scan the QR codes nothing happened.

i love this idea! i love how it's like that the government don't want people to know about what's happening but there's a group of people who *do*, and therefore it's creating a bit of a fight between who has control of the broadcast

The good news is that it doesn't matter WHERE a 6 to 10 miles wide asteroid struck. The meteor that took out the dinosaurs was 6 to 10 miles wide(and left an impact crater almost 100 miles wide) and the heat from the air friction (as it passed through the atmosphere) was so great that it ignited the air, and sent a scorching firestorm racing across the globe. Secondly, the impact would throw up so much debris into the air that it would be several years before any real sunlight would reach the ground.
Alert world, Atlas and the Mandela catalogue are some of the things that get me tense and scared. ALSO AMAZIN WORK!!

The story behind those codes is.. at first they were suppose to direct you to the Rickroll video but then for an unowned reason it wasn't working and I decided to keep it this way.

I ran this scenario in "Universe Sandbox" and I gave the objects the exact sizes mentioned in this video, although I am not sure their speed, so I made them go at Mach 5, which is hypersonic speeds. I hit them in North and South America and Asia, and although Japan, Brazil, and Canada were really sad, it's like nothing happened to earth itself and Africa.
