I love how many times Norm has to mention "cans" when he's on a radio show. I've seen it 5 or 6 times this week going through all of his videos again. Cracks me up how happy he is to mention that they're called cans hahaha.
One thing Norm loved, and I don't know this for sure bc I never met him, but one thing Norm loved was not letting talk show hosts wrap up a segment without a fight. RIP Normie!
Man, just re-watched this after a long time. The part where he is talking about staph, MRSA and being on antibiotics hit me hard. Not knowing he was sick, it would just be a very Norm healthcare joke and wordplay, but now I wonder if he didn't really have a blood infection a month before this video. Cancer and treatment are so brutal and traumatic. It is sad to know for sure that the number of Norm UA-cam videos is finite.
Terrible set design... the host is sitting at a giant desk that looks like it belongs in an alien courtroom, the guest has to turn around whenever the co-host is speaking, and they're all sitting too far away from each other.
I used to listen to the herd regularly and had no idea Colin interviewed Norm. It was actually a pretty cool one, too, since he kinda just let norm talk. All the cat joke needs is better delivery and that’s a solid Norm joke.
Fascinating. Norm's idea to have a joke for every situation, so it will seem spontaneous and improvised when really it's prepared. That's what improvisation actually is so much of the time, whipping out something you've absorbed that's become a part of you
When she was on the show Kristine Leahy got to be annoying, but watching this I must admit she is gorgeous, and her laugh here was cute, I'm not gonna lie.
the sheer number of comments in this thread.. all of them absolute love for the dude. Goes to show you everyone loves being true to one's self.. helps being hilariously sharp witted
God it was a terrible ending so Norm literally explained how it should be and while explaining at the same time he did that thing .. got a laughter so the host could end it well. That is GOD tier!!!
The thing about Norm bombing is that, when he was doing Weekend Update on SNL, he understood that bombing in front of the 300-person LA audience watching the show was not the same thing as bombing in front of the millions of people watching TV at midnight on a Saturday, and sometimes it was funny to not get a laugh from the studio audience in order to get a bigger laugh from the home audience. That's not the same thing as getting off on disappointing a crowd altogether.
Norm explained how to end the show and secretly demonstrated it by speaking in an anti-climactic way that he doesn't know how to end a show. Well, he did the referencing to an older joke which is the "textbook" way of ending a set! 👏
Brother Norm has the artistic and writing skills that continually refine to make it better. Good for him. But he also understands what King Solomon said at the end of his life's journey: "I perceive that there is nothing better, than that a man should rejoice in his own works."
norm immediately putting the cat joke into rotation a paragraph after telling him he'd put it in his act was so BEAUTIFUL.
Did not expect Colin of all people to do a solid Norm interview
I think Norm did a solid Colin interview.
I did not expect Colin to do a solid interview, full stop.

JackFate76 I agree. I think he doesnt mess with Colin because Norm actually likes sports and Colin's show. Most every other host he messes with.
The thing I like about Norm Macdonald is he likes to go on stage and tell jokes.
ya minds me of the jokes
That sounds familiar...
what kind of a sick person are you?
So very Norm of you to say.
