This is so amazing for two reasons, the first being the obvious one (Bill's genius), but the second is that it's an important document of the artist's repertoire because we see mostly land- and seascapes. So THANK YOU for posting this❤❤❤
I like seeing how someone handles a black canvas. I've been thinking of trying this. He's quite good.
I'm not as interested in still life.
But then in my home town there were classes in still life at our library. It seemed every old widow in town was in the class and filled the town with still life paintings. I got a little burned out on the subject. Though Manet painted several masterful still lifes.
“I pull it in because I know what I’m doing here… roughly pull it.”- bill was and is the best ever!!!! Love painting his lessons best I can.
Ah, I like the glass!! Those are hard to do.
Notice how gently he paints the glass. He always did that with the fine details.
The master! Thank you for sharing!
I own one of bills original paintings similar to this, it’s a table with a wine bottle and wine glass on a very large black canvas
Does the channel moderator know? They had put out a call requesting private or corporate owners of original contact them for purposes of study and tracking the existing art. The lovily lady who runs his business is very kind and enthusiastic about archiving his work as she was there for most if not all of his show year and retired years.
Really??! Would you ever consider showing it to us?
I would be happy to share it, not sure how I can share a picture in the comments but feel free to contact me with the info, I have a few of Bills paintings
@@WillWallner did you take my earlier advice to contact the channel? Because they did not catalog all of Bill's paintings back in the day and they're trying to do that now with anybody who will come forward and just give information
Absolutely BRILLIANT!
This is valuable for all ranges of artists from beginner all the way to top professionals(like me). His teachings on getting rim perspectives correct at different heights is GENIOUS!
Watching him work is a joy and a treat.
Sometimes it's not what he does, but what he says.
Bill is one in a billion.
Thank you for posting this exceptional video.
Keep them coming.
MORE FLORAL TOO! (with Lowell)
You guys rock!
Amazing skill to easily create 3d objects on canvas by using color and brush. You had a great talent.💐❤️
Thank you for watching and thank you for your comments
great tip on the oval sizing as seen from different viewpoints! The glass was wonderful... thank you!
The WHOLE video was excellent... your crockery looks so real!❤
Thank you very much. The glass was my favorite part as well. Bill was so delicate with his brush.
I can't get perspectives right. He told us many different tips on perspective in one short video. Bonus points!
Yes, the glass made my jaw drop! I couldn't believe what I was watching. In three of four strokes..! The man's a genius!!
@@deconstructingVerbs thank you for your comments. I agree!!!
@@PleaseNThankYou each time I watch a video of his I see something different. He says so much both through his words and brush strokes.
Beautiful painting I love this thank you
Love his method ,he is the master
Thank you!
Stunning. ❤
I am lost on the glass. Bigger, bigger and bigger. For me it is smaller, smaller and smaller. From the vase to the bottom.
Lol, yeah I wasn't quite sure what he meant by that, either. To me it lookes bigger (pot) and smaller (glass). Wish we could ask him 😊
Black canvases are the best.
I love the black canvas paintings as well. This might be the last one of Bill’s that we have to share with you. I wish we had even more.
@@AAlexanderArt Yeah, I would love to see more!
Hi
Hi. Thank you for watching our videos.
Bellísimo !!!
❤
In less than an hour you can paint an entire still life. The techniques that Bill teaches makes it so much easier to create work of art.
Thank you for posting.
Lol, well, maybe *you could do it in an hour, but I can't even get my clouds right, I'm so bad!!😂
@@deconstructingVerbs Bill was able to do it, and his teaching would probably allow you to do the same.
@@deconstructingVerbs I have moreproblems with clouds than anything else.
@TheNortheastAl Thanks for the vote of confidence. I'm getting better but...😎
