    You know exactly what you are talking about, and are sometimes even ahead of the questions being asked. It shows that you really care about perfecting your techniques are performance. Hope to see you and your band go far! Good luck!

    that's super awesome and intuitive. I love how you control it with your finger/hand movement rather than a expression pedal.

    I've been playing bass for 15 years and just got awed by nathan. To me he is an inspiration. I must learn more to later meet him and me being able to be considered an equal.

    nice vid Nathan! Just got a quick question for you - Im wondering what kind of pitch pedal you use? is it the boss ps-6?
    And is it hard calibrating it with the Hothand, like is it easier to controll with the hothand contra the expression pedal?
    Cheers=)

    of course this is no display of metal, but if you check out the song "Brand New Cut" by Mukatu and some of his vids, you'll notice a grimy metal dubstep style, and although i was skeptical about it first too, i've realized how good it can be

    So do I need the pro versions for the hot hand to work, or could i use the basic or version 2 models and have it work too? also how do all your effects and hot hand work with other effects?

  • @yumadapaka
    @yumadapaka 12 років тому

    so let me get this straight...the hot hand is used as an expression pedal for the boss pitch shifter?

  • @Ddragon173
    @Ddragon173 6 років тому

    Now it is very simple to do all that effects stuff, just by one of the Line6 processors!)

  • @Streetpartymarty
    @Streetpartymarty 12 років тому

    Why all the hate? Seriously, everyone who is hysterically hating on this is afraid of new things. Great technique will always be great technique, but people who use effects to do different things with the intsrument SHOULD be applauded for their innovation. So stupid to hate on dub step. It's just another style of music. Elitism is so stupid. Grow up.

  • @leohaldan4915

    how does the thing with his hand control the sound oscillation and ect? Havent understood that part, is the sensor on his hand just interacting with the electro/magnetic wave field? some physics info would be appreciated.

    Real Musicians are open to all kinds of music, I may be a metal head at heart but that doesn't mean I automatically have to hate things such as Dubstep.
    'Real Music' is defined by the personal opinions of the people listening to it, like how I may dislike boy bands such as One Direction but their stuff is still 'Real Music'. Just not my kind.
    Also, Dubstep has a pretty big following and unless you go culling, It'll probably never become extinct.
    This all coming from a Metal/Rock Bassist.

  • @nothingleft777

    wish you the best on that bro.ive tried to find with musicians for many years to perform in an electronic style band.im not really into dubstep although i do think the bass sounds cool. im more into nine inch nails and skinny puppy.either way good luck finding band mates that are not purists.

    Isn't any type of music real just as long as it has emotions driving it? I don't see a problem what so ever with electronic and natural acoustics fusing. Quite frankly this is the way we should be moving, more open minded because thats how music has always been.

    he completely misunderstood the is the hothand like using a fretless where you have to play by ear. he was like YES WITH MY BASS THATS WHAT I HAVE TO DO. He's pretty terrible at actually playing the bass.

    Yes it is, dub step is and quote "a form of dance music, typically instrumental, characterized by a sparse, syncopated rhythm and a strong bassline". So tell me when Sonny Moore stopped using synthesizers, and other electronics to create a dance style sound of electromechanical music? Also if you try feeding me that "Its Brostep" crap you already lost the argument. Skrillex is Dubstep. Not heavy Dubstep but still dubstep.
