I usually do a similar thing in my serious cities. Parks make great separators between noisy areas like highways and businesses and residential, so often make many long thin parks. This often ends with the park being the shortest path. Beautiful and nice :)
The amusement park strategy would work better if they were all in one park, as people pay to enter via side gates. Also, you need just enough in the way of attractions in the park zone to make it reach level 5, so you can charge even more money. I once had a city with that setup, and the park had 10 pairs of gates, and my park was making over $1 million per week. My city’s population was only around 30,000, if I remember correctly.

hey know no need to throw shad on New york city and their lovely tolls
I feel like this challenge would be reasonably possible if you heavily rely in the industries DLC. That way you could have no taxes because all the industry is state-owned!
the true libertarian dream!
“that way you could have no taxes because all the industry is state-owned”
exhibit 28140985 of libertarians not realizing the only materially viable method of fulfilling their dreams requires one of the various leftist ideologies
(i do get that this is a joke tho, kek)
Just rename the state to "Governance Inc." and suddenly propertarians would have no argument.
@@hedgehog3180 i prefer the term "lolbertarians" but that works too
@@hedgehog3180 what a deep understanding of opposing views (no).
it's just perfect. that final shot with the crater and the fire, but no taxes. Definitely no taxes
I'm shocked the crematorium is so expensive in this game since burning large numbers of bodies is so cheap and feasible while fighting a multi front war without any fuel (with people that refuse to pay the entrance fee at the quadruple amusement park road in of course.) Minor gripe, probably nothing.
Truly the amusement-park-and-meteor-based economy we all deserve.
Ah yes, the best way to make a tax-free city: by instating a system of not mandatory but extremely compulsory fines that are unavoidable in modern daily life. Libertarianism at work, and it's surely beautiful.
bro, it's just a video game. and there's no way to implement private services that would replace usual ones in the game.
Ah, yes, good to see that parks are still perfectly balanced.
In all seriousness, I love these kind of videos. Keep up the good work, aa.
A high point in ambiguousamphibian city sim videos - and that's saying something.
would be interesting if you could just press a switch and allow privately owned public services, effectively just sitting back and enjoying things getting taken cared of for free
that was hilarious! As a resident of California I am curious about the "no personal income tax" world of Texas and other states...
I don't play alot of video games. My husband, a gamer at heart, would watch your videos and it was the sound of your voice and your witty writing that drew me in and now I'm hooked. Now we watch your videos together ❤ Your videos always make me laugh!

You expect me to believe in a no-tax city, NO corporations appeared? You'd be tripping over them from the word go in the real world
They probably smelled the toll exploit from a mile away. After all you cant scam a scammer
This is why we need a crowd funding mod but I'm too dumb to know how to code it. There are a few mods that add supercheap services buildings, generally designed for Ancient, Roman and fantasy styles. Those actually work to cut costs.
You have the skill to be a city planner, the true visionary city planner
My sincerest compliments, Mr. Amphibian. A fabulous job, as always. I would expect no less from your masterwork.
Morty: "This is just s̶l̶a̶v̶e̶r̶y̶ taxes with extra steps"
2023 should be the year of standardized save file sorting systems across all video games.
Let me make subfolders, dangit!!
We could use the blockchain to used uploaded cloud saves and import them into any video game, we could play any save file in any game and it would only cost a few bitcoins, let's hop on this already
Bro literally predicted the fires in Hawaii (August 2023)
My addiction to Amphibian-based UA-cam Content is insatiable
I regret to inform you that you've simply created Orlando, Florida
10:38 Hell on Earth
this is the greatest cities skylines video ive ever seen lmfao
Here is a complement. You did a good job.
This takes death and taxes to a new level
I'm just worried that you don't consider toll booths to be taxes.
I can't help but feel all the efforts to make money in this attempt actually are basically just taxation though hahaha.
Finally, the ancap paradise we’ve been looking for!
Fail, it was all centrally planned 😂😂
There has got to be a libertarianism mod that just dumps all the government service buildings into zoning structures. A truly RNG-based experience until the city learns to take care of itself, so long as the heavy hand of the state supplies the roads. A truly libertarian experience.
5:26 "I didn't fail, I successfully lost!"
I love how there are people out there who unironically believe this would work
What do you mean by "this"?
@@zigoter2185 libertarianism
it works in the usa, it just absolutely sucks
love you Robbie, didn't realize how fucking crazy big your channel grew. big happy my friend. can't wait for the dwarf fortress videos
(not the vods currently, the time for that eludes me)
The people: "No taxation without representation"
Ambiguousamphibian: "are you sure about that?"
Vergil: I’m moving there.
Still gotta pay child support though
@@Torodes23, He’ll never pay as long as he lives.
Vergil? The Roman poet?
The "amusement park" walks absolutely killed me 💀
Honestly just rename “taxes “ ,“public services bill”.
