80s and 90s sound like an amazing time to be alive, thanks for these blast of the past videos and hope you're having a wonderful weekend and a happy fathers day.
I don't hate the 2020's but there was a level of hope and progress we could see back those days, for the average person, that's missing in my personal opinion. Like a tide that kept rising and rising until the end of the 80's, but reversed in the 90's until the present days. I remember being excited about "the next thing" but now all we get is rounded corners on a next generation of anything. I believe something groundbreaking to bring joy and motivation to people as soon as possible. 🙏🏻 Thanks for another lovely retrospective. May the perm win 😁
I love the page flipping sounds and when you trace/follow along the words and letters, but my favorite part of these kinds of videos is when you incorporate your own experiences with products or just your experiences in general. It just adds to the relaxation as a whole. ☺️
As an 80s baby I approve this message! lol We had strawberry shortcake stickers on our bedroom walls, and I had a very cool strawberry shortcake sleeping bag that would clip in certain places so that it conform to your body. I missed that thing. 😢 Thank you for the walk down memory lane definitely jogged some memories for me. 😑🥰
These are my times!!! I always say I’m an 80s girl so the fashion, art, makeup and the music - these were great memories!! Thank you - I love these decade series !!!
Thanks for this! I was a Big magazine hoarder back in the 80´s being a teenager, I bought both Pop and lots of Fashion mags, I can order the book here in Sweden too so I will definitely get it, good Coffee Table-book!! What a major Throwback!
I am in love with these decades series I was so excited for the 80’s even though I was born in 87 I loved the 80’s era I wonder if they have a 90’s one that be nostalgia for me I love these video can’t wait for the 40’s and 50’s my mom’s era which she loves your videos too ❤
I'll go ahead and be the one to say it -- I love your "chicken hands" as you say and your thumbs. Your hands remind me of my sweet late grandma's. Thanks for all you do!
Now this is one Fantastic video !!! Love the 80s . . . While I remember some of it , I was still pretty young, born in 80 lol my sis however was a teen then, and so through the years she would explain different things about that time period . . . If I may, I'm guessing you remember the 80s pretty well. . . Some ladies I know, had me watch pretty in pink, sixteen candles, breakfast club, and many other movies. Wow different times for sure, Pepsi was everywhere, big hair, denim jackets, faded jeans, aquanet, bands like Cinderella, warrant, steel heart, and many others were huge !!! Love those bands btw !!! Everyone wanted to ride with you if u had a i-roc z or firebird etc. lol if i would have been born 70-71-72 id remember way more, sucks i didnt get to experience that time really. . . I watched tons of videos of kids having their moms and dads or grandmas dance to 80s music lol totally awesome to watch. . . First few seconds a little rusty, but in almost no time , they had it down, remembered all the movies !!! Super awesome. . . All them grandmas still got the dance moves lol Suggestion if I may ??? 😊 Perhaps u could do a video showing different things that were popular in the 80,s like actual items. Be it clothes, hair supplies, cassette tapes, electronics, home goods, would be super cool 😎 just an idea Again great video !!! Keep it up , ur doing awesome !!! P.s gotta ask, how did u Ladies get ur hair to poof out as high as y'all did, hair spray I know, but there had to be some kinda technique to it ? I've heard some say a curling iron, some say a towel , others say a pick and a brush some say simply a hair dryer lol
@@JeannieBASMR if I may ask. . . What kinda music did u like then, a few of ur favorite bands ??? Just a few days ago, I threw on a jacket bc weather is winter here and so I tried doing the old tuck trick, jacket collar up on back tucked and flared out on the sides hahah not a half bad look, I actually kinda like it 😆
Depending on the decade...and the part of the decade. For instance, at the beginning of the 70s I loved The Partridge Family and by the end, I loved Led Zeppelin, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd, etc. and then in the 80s, Rick Springfield, Christopher Cross, etc.
@@JeannieBASMR nice 👍🙂 !!! I remember growing up watching the partridge family, as well the monkeys . . . Those along with Brady bunch, C h i.p.s officers ponch and John on their motorcycles , let's see I also liked, A team, six million dollar man , classics, love the classics, even now, for about the last week I've been watching Bonanza, just started season 4 haha absolute gold . . . If I'm being honest, I'm 44 yrs old, and today's television, ehh don't get me wrong some stuff is ok, been watching Superman and Lois good show, the new macguyver is alright, old one is better lol agt every now and then, but honestly not too many modern shows I watch. In all honesty I watch a lot of UA-cam 😆 love to camp, so naturally anything camp and survival related is awesome, how to videos, modern marvels. . . Great memories when i still had my mum and dad.❤❤❤ Cheers Jeannie from London.
Agreed! I was born the 1st half of the 80s. Best time and toys ever through the early to mid 90s. Strawberry shortcake, teddy ruxpin, my little pony, care bears, E.T..so many fantastic childhood toys, themes, and memories!
I absolutely love that ur continuing this series definitely gonna be rewatching all of these when I have the time and not using it to help me fall asleep after working all night
This certainly was a trip down memory lane and was the best decade of my life as a teenager. Although I live in Australia, the ads were similar here and encapsulated everything of the 80’s. I had the big hair and dangly earrings. I also got my first Walkman for my 14th birthday in 1982. It certainly was a decade of excess especially for fashion. The music back then was some of the best ever made in my opinion and is my go to on my playlist. I would do anything to relive the 80’s, life seemed so carefree and innocent back then. I learned to drive in a manual car as everyone was driving them in the 80’s. I hated doing hill starts too but was careful in not getting too much roll back. In fact, I still drive a manual, they’re so much fun.
Oh wow, thank you so much for this. I was born in 1973 in England....this has brought back so many memories of being a tween/teenager growing up surrounded by the great big hairdos, the music, the fashions.....such a wonderful time to be alive. 😊 Thank you Jeannie. ❤️

I'm so pleasantly surprised to hear that you know so much about games and enjoyed them! I would love to see you play modern video games. There are many out there that are relaxing. Seeing you manage a cozy hotel (Bear and Breakfast) or a farm (Stardew Valley, Coral Island, Story of Seasons) or engage in a virtual slice of life (the Sims) would be so fun.
I recently bought a manual vehicle and I somewhat struggle on steep hills. Thanks for the tip about letting out the clutch slowly when you were talking about the San Francisco area. Your blah, blah, blah proved to be useful 😄

Not quite on topic & maybe you’ve done & I missed it, but I’d love to see you do a make up video. Your make up is always so on point & your skin looks so beautiful & glowing. I’d like to know what products & application methods you use. Anyway, I enjoy 80s videos because I’m of that time but also was too little to remember all the things. The 80s are hazy childhood memories for me. My mom passed when I was young & I like to see what life was like for her when she was having a family. Thanks.
Funny cause while you’re having a dislike feeling for your thumb, I felt comfort and nostalgia from it. I always remember my cousin when he was still a toddler, I was amazed by how flexible his thumbs are and would always made him point/curve it that way. He’s going to college now so I felt kind of nostalgic. :)
I was born in 1988 so I didn’t get to experience that decade but there were some things I remember. My parents had that stereo system with the ridiculous large speakers 😂. I think my mom finally got rid of it in the early to mid 2000’s. The 80s seems like a time when life started to get “ larger” and more materialistic. Also seems like fast foods and frozen foods were being promoted more than home cooking… I didn’t see any jello molds in this one 😂.
Never excuse for how your body looks - your body is perfect as it is - like your thumb ❤ (loved the ”Sorry not sorry!“) And this is for ALL of you!!! You are perfect in every way. A beautiful human being ❤
You were talking about the 70s shampoos (Do you remember the original Herbal Essence Green Botanical shampoo ? Glad you enjoyed it, my freaky thumb pal!!
😘
46:44 I love the movie Amadeus (1984) :)
Jeannie B. ASMR, amazing video my guy
Thank you! 😁💜
Gee your hair smells terrific - While out of production in the United States since the late 1980s, the formula was licensed to Vibelle Manufacturing Corporation of Malabon, Philippines and is currently sold in the Philippines, where it is still popular
Thanks.
I do have a couple - you’d have to go back and find them - BUT I have another coming out in a few weeks! 💄
I’m so sorry you lost your mom so early. 😞
Hi Jeannie!! I discovered an "All-American Ads of the 20s" book on a second hand media website today. Crazy!
How much was it? 🫨
😊👍🏼
I was born in 1988 so I didn’t get to experience that decade but there were some things I remember. My parents had that stereo system with the ridiculous large speakers 😂. I think my mom finally got rid of it in the early to mid 2000’s. The 80s seems like a time when life started to get “ larger” and more materialistic. Also seems like fast foods and frozen foods were being promoted more than home cooking… I didn’t see any jello molds in this one 😂.
That’s right - no jello molds overflowing with mayonnaise! 😄😄🫤
Georgio was the IT perfume, I remember that!
Thank you ❤ You have cozy mom vibe ❤🌸😊Greetings from Lithuania (Europe)🇱🇹
You are so welcome! Hello to you in Lithuania!🇱🇹
Right on Jeannie far out
😃
Never excuse for how your body looks - your body is perfect as it is - like your thumb ❤ (loved the ”Sorry not sorry!“)
And this is for ALL of you!!! You are perfect in every way. A beautiful human being ❤
Love that! Thank you!! 😊
Excellent Wording 👍 From In Time 💯👏👏👏
I can't believe they didn't mention Whitney Houston! She was such an icon of the 80's ❤️❤️❤️
You are so right!
You were talking about the 70s shampoos (Do you remember the original Herbal Essence Green Botanical shampoo ? It smelled so good (i always wondered why they discontinued the original brand scent (It was the one with the blond haired girl on the front with flowers in her hair (I was only arounf 4 years old when i used it (You cant find it on any shelf today (They still have Herbal Essence ,but not that bontanical scent ...
I loved that shampoo!
