Same
I'd like that but I think we would need to be a decent length into a DC universe. Enough that we had Dick Grayson as Robin, then Nightwing and then Jason Todd as Robin.
The one thing that’s missing, that would make this the best Batty Bat comic ever? If Batman had pulled out “Bat-Shark Repellent” from his belt and sprayed the Joker Shark. That would’ve been amazing.

4:01 no one seems to have noticed that the jokerized men look exactly like the two criminals who went with Joker to Ace Chemicals and the Joker himself in the original Killing Joke story
Joker once raped one of his henchman's ex wives as a form of punishment in the Graphic Novel "Joker." I don't believe it's mainline canon though. To be honest their isn't much off the table for Joker.
He doesn't like racism and any sort of bigotry if the Marvel crossover is anything to go by.
Weren't they shot dead by the cops in The Killing Joke?
20 seconds later it literally says they were chosen to represent those 3 men.
Every deck has two jokers but three? Now that’s true madness.
New way to play "Go fish"...and Jason found a new way to play too! :D
Cringe.
Lmfaooo
The fact that Wilem Dafoe has never played Joker is just wasted opportunity.
Been saying this for years. Biggest missed opportunity and wasted potential in casting, but at least he was the Green Goblin.
Might be in the future
Given that the recent "Joker" movie was said to be one of many versions of joker, it could still happen.
“You’re the one who’s out Joker! Out of your mind!” -Batman
“Gee, you think?” -Gordon
“Misery, Misery, Misery” -Joker
That's my dream
Holy shit, that “I’ll be your Robin” line is amazing.
No.
That shit set Jason off but honestly he was a kid getting his face and skull beaten in with crowbar. A lot of adults would've said anything to make him stop as well.
Musa Mansa shit was just unexpected and it hit me in the feels.

😳😑 I’m Outta Here
• The Criminal (Presumabely the Golden Age Joker, same clothing, same pose, indeed a criminal.)
• The Comedian (The one who appeared in The Killing Joke and shot Barbara Gordon, the *failed* comedian so to speak.)
• The Clown (The original Joker that appeared in almost all post-crisis Batman stories like Neal Adams’ 70’s stories, the one in the Laughing Fish story, and the one who ”killed” Jason Todd in A Death in the Family.)

I’m pretty sure this will NEVER happen.. but how sick would it be if they were setting up the three jokers…
Joaquin Phoenix: the criminal (golden age, classic joker)
Jared Leto: the clown (there have been hints in Batman vs. Superman that Jared Leto’s joker is the joker that is in death in the family.. robins suit being cover in ha ha and it also says something along the lines of “of you let him die”
Barry Keoghan: the comedian (he appears to be the most demented joker we’ve see since ledger and I could totally see him being the killing joke joker)
Jack Nichelson and Heath Ledger were more of a criminal than Phoenix tbh
If the killing joke joker is in this comic does that mean Batman didn’t kill him at the end of the Killing joke storyline
Or he was replaced. They all seem to have the same memories.
We only know that there is currently 3, we don't know if there was only ever 3, but no, he probably didn't kill joker at the end.
A popular theory is that Batman didn’t actually kill Joker but instead injected him with his own toxin. Some evidence is that in one of the earlier panels, Batman specifically looks at his hand after Joker loses his toxin buzzer and killing joke takes place before Joker is established to have an immunity to his own toxin. I honestly think it works quite well
The end is always a point of contention, but for the most part the parts that remain the same is batman's dealings with joker and what joker did to barbara gordon. Now some say that she was "raped" by the joker and some say he didn't. I have to be on the side of he did in the case that he did undress her and violate her by taking pictures of her nude. If we go by those things it CAN be constituted as rape for those acts
Dude, I'd do ANYTHING to hear Mark Hamill deliver the "I'll be your Robin" monologue...
For aome reason I picture John DiMaggio as The Clown, Mark Hamill as The Criminal, and Troy Baker as The Comedian.
Jaw dropped after hearing "I'll be your robin!" Like jeez
Also, casting calls? Maybe these jokers are seeking out importers..?
I was hoping that the Three Jokers would be a case of multiple Personalities Disorder... That'll explain how exactly the joker is mad coz for a mad man he always committed crimes that seemed well thought out to me! But I'm ready to be surprised!! I really don't want the joker to be reduced to a mantle or persona like Robin, Ronin etc
@Bile Tyt That was in one issue only where at the end of the issue he winked at the readers
He isn’t super sane in the main canon , he is just crazy
Fun fact: in the original jokers first appearance, he died at the end by accidentally being stabbed with a knife, but the editors brought him back
Man I really don’t blame Jason, good on him.
The Kings of Comedy are here and ready to turn Gotham upside down.
Warm Lillie
Now I want to see Mark Hamil sing The World Turned Upside Down
they all could be clones with all his memories and that would explain why they all look alike
It would be dumb as hell
But that wouldn't explain why the Mobius chair told Batman that there are three Jokers instead of telling him his real name.
Roi Bar-Yosef joker has taken on many different appearances over the years to where we don’t know which is the one true joker and which ones aren’t him
No. No Clones. Clones is one of, if not the worst trope in comic books, perhaps all of fiction. That and alternate reality duplicates. it's just so lazy.
Issue one explains it. The chemicals mutates your DNA and features into the Joker's look.
So basically, Joker may have implanted himself into other people like what he did to Tim Drake in Batman Beyond?
I didn't consider this.
Or just tortured them into believing they too are the Joker.
The “boss one looks like he has a faint mustache and now I can only think of him with Caesar Romero’s voice.
I wonder if they want Jason as their better Joker, that'd be an interesting take
Anyone else hear Jensen Ackles voice when they read Red Hoods dialogue
He did a really good job in the movie. I also prefer this design for Batgirl as opposed to the New 52 one. I think Arkham Knight's Batgirl design is perfect.
He even looks like Jensen Ackles in this comic
Joot to be fair he’s the only one who’s voiced him
Joot oh shoot I didn’t know that

I think it's important to add that when Barbara threw her batarang to stop Jason, Jason implies she missed him on purpose

I remember when Geoff Johns could actually write characters while respecting the work of other creators. this feels like at best an elseworlds story; I look forward to whatever unfolds in 3 Jokers being ignored by next year.
They purposely published it under DC Black Label so that they could see fan response before deciding to make it cannon or not
It was a pretty bad comic book imo, it prolly will be elseworld
But there are actually 3 jokers throughout the Batman comics tho lol

There is no indication that they have his memories. “Sometimes I remember it one way... sometimes another.”
Then maybe each one has all their memory.
This is masterclass writing and art man. Honest to god future generations should study stories like these in school alongside Macbeth and Beowulf.
I think "The Three Jokers" would be one of the topics that are gonna be discussed at this Saturday's DC FANDOME
I love all of the little details they add in the artwork to go along with the story. Like the comedian that was killed, his shirt matches the shirt on the killing joke Joker. The smiling shark was a nice touch. This is an amazing first issue!
"I'm da Jokah Baby!"
- Jokah Baby
At 9:20 you say “and batgirl replies” when actually it’s still jason talking. Batgirl doesn’t speak in that panel
Also, I really like this Red Hood design. I like the mostly black/grey outfit with a red hoodie under his jacket that looks like the Robin shirt. And can Barbara return to this batgirl costume? I prefer her with a cowl, her current Rebirth outfit is alright except for the mask that covers literally no defining facial feature. And I just hated her burnside purple stupid biker outfit. I love this black and yellow outfit. Pretty much the same as her New Batman Adventures outfit.
Loved the book, there's just one thing that bugs me. I mean, there's been years and years of joker stories and even in this book they acknowledge the fact that Joker's been there for a while and then all of a sudden he becomes sloppy and let's people see him in three different places at the same time? I mean I don't think the mobius chair was necessary for solving that one if the three Jokers are running loose and not caring much about being seen at the same time. I know that's not the point of the book, and it will probably have bigger reveals that will make me forget that point, but I still find it a little annoying.
I'm 14 years old, and I'm obsessed with this book. I've already got it all set up to have my grandparents drive me to my local comic shop on the 29th when it opens, so I can buy all the issue two covers!
“But if he’s over here, then who was flickering the lights?”
This basically gonna most of this series.
It was Nosferatu
Didn't the mobius chair tell him the joker's identity?
Drake Grey, Bruce was smart enough to then follow up with a request for all three Jokers’ identities. Right?!

I really hope this whole "Three Jokers" thing will be realistic. No clones, or mind transfer or anything !
Definitely agree!
Yeah totally, I mean this did start happening when Batman sat in a chair and became a god. Totally realistic
so now joker is the new court of owl...
I'm going to assume this is sarcasm...
So joker has been makeing joker's the whole time which is why he never does because he always does die it's just not him... I believe that the real joker is pulling the strings from behind the scenes this entire time. Like we haven't seen the real joker probably since shortly after he was first introduced.. somehow he's giving is clones is memories but they still develop a little bit of their own personality which would explain the different looks they different sidekicks and as time went on he got better at making exact clones which is why you're such a long time we had a joker that pretty much consistently stayed the same with Harley Quinn and whatnot she probably had sex with six different clone Jokers and had no idea in fact I don't think Harley Quinn has even met the real joker at all and Batman hasn't fought the real joker since maybe the first couple of times we seen them fight it could go as deep as the joker that killed Jason Todd glitched out won't ever really kill Batman and Robinthe reason he wouldn't kill Robin is because he could cause more pain to that man leaving Robin alive and beating the crap out of them or nearly killing him all the time the joker doesn't kill the people close to Batman he tortures them to torture batman
I'm just glad they used Bullock he is my favorite batman mythos good guy and he is so underused :(
Why would Batgirl NOT want Joker to die? He's escaped and killed time and time again.
Well the comic ends then if the bat starts killing

Oh my God. This story is so original and spectacular! I love every bit of it! Especially Jason when he killed joker. That was badass
Nah it's the opposite of badass, what the scene is implying is that Joker has manipulated Jason up and even past the point of shooting him. Jason killing is exactly what Joker wanted, he played Jason as a little pawn so much that even his "revenge" is set up by Joker himself and will probably escalate to even more problems in the following issues. Jason lost by killing and playing right into the Joker's cards.
GuyWithAnAmazingHat but I am sayin that anyone killing the joker is cool. And plus, yeah I knew joker wanted him to do it. That was part of the bad assery

See when Metron's chair said "There Were Three" I thought it mean 3 at various points in time, *not three at the same time.*
Also wasn't Snyder & Capullo's Joker supposed to be the Third?
The Grant Morrison fan in me is saying the three jokers are all different timeline Jokers who survived timeline reconstructing events.
But what I don’t get is who is the Joker who cut of his face and was apparently immortal or something and also the joker who is in Joker war
The clown I guess
Perhaps that could be a major twist for the end of the third issue. That there isn't just three Jokers, but dozens of Jokers, with the three we see being the most infamous. Maybe the Death of the Family Joker, the Dark Knight Returns Joker, the '60s Silver Age Joker, the Injustice Joker, the Serious House on Serious Earth Joker, the Infinite Crisis Joker, the Man Who Laughs Joker, the Last Laugh Joker, the Devil's Advocate Joker, the Brian Azzarello Joker, the Five-Way Revenge Joker, the Batman: Endgame Joker, and the three main Jokers are all different people who, for one reason or another, all went crazy after just one bad day.
Well obviously this story is getting its ideas from the Batman beyond story where Tim becomes the joker. That is how he has always existed I suppose but now there is more than one.
That one is Joseph Kerr. Joe Kerr. Joker.
Well we know there is currently 3, I guess 2 now, but there could have been more, like a revolving door of jokers, the 3 make a new one of them dies, he gets replaced by a better joker. Maybe the 3 just influence the current joker, and fill in if he dies or vice versa.
I'm low key just enjoying the enthusiasm of this man.😍
Who would dislike this yo? Good storytelling, fantastic artwork, etc, etc.
Well, the story doesn't really make much sense so far... Hopefully that will change, though.
The Comedian Joker and The Clown Joker both have really similar face profiles. Not to mention I dont think the Joker would recycle his Killing Joke outfit the way he did in this issue; almost like real Joker wanted to "relieve the past". Notice how the other Joker retrieved the Ace Chemicals chemical truck, which would ALSO be an instance of the real Joker reminiscing on the past, the beginning of his past. The last Joker, The Criminal, has a very different face from the others and is the currently presumed Ringmaster of another one of his grand carnival-capers. Keep in mind If this Joker is the Golden Age Joker, that would explain how he knows about Baggy from a LONG ass time ago. The title of this Joker, The Criminal, speaks for itself as well. This Joker, given his namesake, has the most criminal knowledge. If either of the other two Jokers were the real one, this wouldn't really fall in line with his character at all. If there's anything I know about Joker, it's that Jokers always the boss. Any instance where he has been in a momentary position of servitude, has always been a means of manipulation simply in order to come out on top and pull back the curtain to show who's really pulling the strings shortly after. Joker doesn't take orders, he makes them. In these instances, it's usually a higher power like Darkseid or some villain the equivalent of him that Joker couldn't outright defeat without setting up the board in preparation firstly. But in this instance, that isnt a factor because all three Jokers are just people, Jokerized people, but still just people. So Joker would have no reason to play along to a facade simply because neither of them would be a real threat - at least not comparable to the real deal. So in short, I'm calling out The Criminal as the real Joker. Challenge me [constructively]
Man. Everybody wants a piece of the Joker. Its pretty cool if Joker is making more of himself. But, in the end hopefully we have one again. Also, Babs got some body on her if she was able to break that treadmill. I remember my friends and I put maximum speed and incline on the treadmill and we barely managed 20 seconds.
This was sooo awesome! I can't wait to see the rest of the series unfold! Thanks for this breakdown!
After all these years, we finally can enjoy this masterpiece.
Amen! #ThreeJokers
Nah they are just rehashing Batman beyond return of the joker.
If they make a cartoon off of this (which would be awesome) they should have the three jokers voiced by “Troy Baker” “Mark Hamil” and “Cameron Monaghan”
Could the joke about Batman and Robin going fishing a reference to the ‘66 series? I remember that was always an excuse that Bruce & dick gave to aunt Harriet so they could go fight crime.
3:15 foreshadowing Joker getting shot by redhood?
I really feel like they’re going to try and make Red Hood into a new Joker.
No
So wait, the reason Batgirl didn't want Jason to kill the joker, is not ONLY because of "the code", but because none of them knew if it was ACTUALLY a or the joker. For all they know, it could've been an imposter ! Impressive writing in THAT department.
My gut tells me that it's probably multiverse shenanigans. With each Crisis essentially collapsing universes into each other, 3 different people may have been the Joker & now those 3 people in this universe are Jokers at the same time. Honestly I'm hoping that these 3 Jokers have always been around & the other 2 were transformed by the original & alternated over the years. Could also be the boss Joker is the original & the other 2 are indoctrinated people just for this plan & chosen specifically to get under Jason & Babara's skin, hence The Killing Joke costume on one of the Jokers & the other targeting Jason's trauma.
Even though Batman is my favorite comic character ive always found it hilarious that his suit can shrug off gunfire but not Alfred scissors 😂
"When's the last time you missed?"
Is there a precedent for Barbara not ever missing a shot before? Or was it an invention of this story?
Either way, that's a real stinger of a line
I think it was just him pointing out how she throws batarangs at people with guns all the time to stop them from shooting herself, but still didn't stop him from killing Joker.
According to my theory Joker always had a different version of himself. And I stucked to that concept. A psychotic character always tend to have a persona of their own.
I renamed the characters as The Thug, The Mastermind and The Wicked.
The titles on the Jokers are named differently but you get the gist of it.
When you’re an idea, your name is irrelevant.
That’s why there are three Jokers but no names
I wouldn’t be surprised if the original is incredibly old or just dead.
Kinda like Naruto/Star wars ending
Are you referencing Nagato?
Correct me if I’m wrong, wasn’t there a story line where they found joker in old painting forms decades before.
It kinda suggested he was immortal
I like how batman asked the mobios chair (bassicly universal wikipedia) who is the joker and the chair awnser there are 3 jokers. And batman went huhhh!! And got of the chair to investigate instead of asking the chair again
I wish you didn’t just read and show the issues in their entirety. It’ll stop people from buying the comics.
There is so more then 3 in the multiverse and even more in the omniverse
Yeah same with every DC characters
