Love your channel! You are a joy, and soooo talented. I've been crafting for about 10 years and have used intricate dies forever. A trick I learned from our UK friends is to put a piece of plastic over the magnetic mat. They use "Cut Tidy". It saves your mat from all the die cutting damage and also helps release the tiny cuts. I found the Cut Tidy getting too expensive. I use the Avery Elle storage bags. I just cut the bag open and fit it to my magnetic mat. Works like a charm, and I re-use it dozens of times before I replace it. I never die cut without it. Used it for years. Ok, my secret is out. You are the only channel I have told this to. Try it, you'll like it!!!! Keep up the good work. You are amazing!!!!!
I'll give this a try. I don't have many Avery Elle pockets left but I have tons of the amazon "Checkout Store" off brand pockets. I'll give them a try. I've seen this tip before and completely forgot about it. Thank you for the reminder 🎉
I really wanted the 3D concentric dies on autoship but my Empress is in fantastic shape. I figure there will be plenty new AG dies next year, right 😂 Thanks for demoing your Elite. After I saw there was only 1 review on HSN and it said her Elite was louder than her old Empress, I was wondering how it was. I have to say I was taken aback when I saw the Empress Elite was so stripped down that it didn't even come with 1 die and not even 1 embossing mat 😢 people new to electronic machines need that mat for dies that are not 3D. I love my Empress. It behaves exactly as this Elite. I don't need to use the metal shim either. If I do, it's too much pressure. If my dies aren't 3D, I can get the same results you did. But they look absolutely fantastic when I run another pass with the embossing mat. Thanks again for sharing 😃
You tested all the product I was wondering about. Especially, the 3D embossing folders and the Heartfelt Creations dies. Thank you for the great review! 🙂
Thanks for sharing. I just got my empress and love it, but I still use my SpellBinders Platinum 6 for my 3D embossing folders. I wish that AG empress would take any 3D embossing folders.
I think I remember Anna suggesting the use of vellum or wax paper with the folders to prevent cracking. Great unboxing. Thanks for trying so many different situations with your new machine. 👍
Great review! I also picked up the empress elite and thought the same thing about the turn table. My turn table seems to be working smoother now after a few days of use
Thanks for doing this review. I just got my empress about 4 months ago and love it. Hubby said to order the new one for Xmas but I am thinking I really don't need it. but seeing review makes me think maybe I should🙃 have ordered.
My turn table wasn't smooth either. It's. Rough turn. The style is more modern, whereas I expect vintage from Anna. I needed this like I needed a hole in the head. I also have the Gemini II. I think I've used it a handful of times. I find I mainly use the Empress mini because it's more convenient. I also love the ease of the plate sandwich. It may just be me, but I do hate having to cut into the magnetic sheet. It just seems wrong. I'm so used to cutting into the clear plates. Thank you for this. I got the Heartfelt Creations notice too. I found them at a card fair many, many years ago. They had the prettiest and most intricate florals back in the day. I guess I won't need my membership card anymore.
Thanks for this Tammy. I was wondering about this machine. I have the original Empress and still love it. But glad you like it. PS I remember how frustrating my Sizzix Big Shot machine was. I had to run the die through 3 times, use wax paper, poke out the pieces, etc etc.
thank you so much for this video, i got mine last saturday, the onlu problem i have is when i use the metal shim it bend my plates, i had the same problem with my original anna griffin empress, ill keep this one also, but im not very happy with the metal shim. i want to ask you where did you get your white turning table? i go the anna griffin one but i need another one for other machines. thank you
Been waiting for your unboxing video. I got my Empress Elite last Thursday and totally love it. My only complaint so far is that it is hard to turn on the turntable.
@bethwitschey5046 it's 11x9x1.25 inches. It's 2 rectangular plates that have a swivel mechanism in the middle. The empress just fits on it. The feet are about half way over the edge, if it was 12" wide it would be perfect for the empress.
Great video! Thanks for showing so many examples!

I really enjoyed your video. Glad it is a good machine. Thanks for the tip about spritzing the paper with water.

@@Marilynlovesebiking oh my, wasn't it frustrating poking out the pieces?!!! This one is really nice!
Thank you for sharing

Can you share a link to your turn table? I’ve been thinking about this die cutting machine
Been waiting for your unboxing video. I got my Empress Elite last Thursday and totally love it. My only complaint so far is that it is hard to turn on the turntable.
I agree, not a fan of the turn table, but do love the new buttons!
thanks for the video! Do you have a link for your white turntable? I can’t seem to find it searching on Amazon 😊
@dREamZOffaSiiNNER yes, I forgot what I purchased lol. Here's a link. TFW thestampsoflife.com/tt-9x11-rotating-design-board.html#

Thank you so much for your demo, it was so helpful and informative. Can you give us the item information for the turntable you purchased on Amazon?
@CelesteBaca-t8b I forgot what I purchased lol, here's a link for what it actually is: thestampsoflife.com/tt-9x11-rotating-design-board.html#
@@CelesteBaca-t8b I actually purchased the totally Tiffany rotating turntable. Here's a link thestampsoflife.com/tt-9x11-rotating-design-board.html#
Oh wow! I ahve wanted that anniversary frame die -where did you find it??
@bethwitschey5046 Anna's website, I think HSN has it too.
You to try heavier weight paper such as Neenah Classic smooth white 110lb.
Very Nice! Can you use the Heartfelt Creations flower molds in these electronic machines?
@allisondavis8921 unfortunately no you can't. They are to thick to go through the machine
@@funtimecrafts2472 Thank you!
My machine doesn't easily turn either. I just put it on AG lazy Susan because I like to store my cutting plates in there.
Good to know! I like the extra storage too! 😊
Anna mentioned about the turntable being a little rough turning- probably a good idea because mine spin’s really fast- have to be careful!
@suehollahan6910 after a bit of using it, it didn't bother me so much.
can you tell me about your turntable from amazon
