OMGOODNESS!!! TENSION CONTROL... WITHOUT ADDING SHIMS & PLATES!!! SUCTION CUPS! I WANT ONE!!! Just got a Switch Plus last yr.. Unless the Gina K Christmas Angel comes bearing an Intricut machine for me, it'll have to wait a bit!
If you think about it, the fact that you can move the rollers suggests that there's a mechanism that, in time, can break down and get looser than you can control. Metal and paper shim can be an annoyance but there will always be paper around to tighten the pressure and fixed rollers will always be fixed.
Love it! Big fan of die cutting. The only thing I wish, for going to retreats, is a bag or something to keep the machine and the plates together. I’ve lost plates so many times 😂. Love the idea of it cutting a bunch of material! The fact it sticks to the surface is amazing!!!! I’ve had a machine just not catch the plates. The entire machine move and it’s hard to cut! This looks so smooth when cutting! Not much shift while it goes through! 😮❤
Yes, this is not a new machine it's only rebranded from Bira/Sunlit/ Close To My Heart, We R Memory keepers, etc. Bira also has a larger version with 9" opening and they are found on amz at really reasonable prices.
I have the 6 inch Bira Craft Die Adjustable Cutting & Embossing Machine that I recently purchased from Amazon for $89.99. I love it! It seems to be identical to Gina’s.
@@rosemarygates5736I have the Bira one coming tomorrow.. and yes, at $90 it is a lot cheaper than Gina's at $150, & it looks like the exact same machine, only with different color handle and dials!
Great review, I was going to go down spellbinders machine route but after watching your review I’ve just purchased the Gina K machine today it ticks all my boxes, thanks so much 👍😊
From many comments, it looks like Gina just put her name on this machine, which has been on the market for years made by Bira and available on Amazon. It looks totally identical! Just doing my research...and trying to understand what the truth is.
@@NancyStampsIt's not a big name one but yes been around for years. I purposely didn't buy the well known brands cos I preferred the versatility of this machine. In the US it's called the Bira. In the UK it's not branded but sold by Creativ company.

I have always. Supported GKD and I have even followed her back when she was at the conventions giving commentary and have numerous stamps and die sets where she had her mother rolling the ribbons for the kits! I have many of her red rubber stamps! She seems like an amazing person as Tom is as well! I have nothing but admiration for them both with how far they have expanded their company!! Blessings!!

I'm so excited about all the dies you can use. Especially the really thick ones. And the Bigz dies. I'm so glad she came out with this because I am so frustrated with the Gemini not cutting now and the Empress. I love my Tangerine machine, it was the only one that I could get the 3D embossing folders with it, however it had a hard time with the Sissix and Memory Box. Thank you Nancy. She already sold out
I have the Bira craft and have used the CTMH . Other than color they all seem to be pretty much the same . Same cutting plates , same storage area, same size . I like my Bira. I also have their mini 3 inch cutter and I like that one to.
The amount of "NEW" machines that have come out this year is mindboggling. Also mindboggling is the fact that they're NOT truly new although the prices might convince you they are.
Well it is a new die cutting machine for the Gina K line. I wasn't aware that there was a similar machine on the market until viewers mentioned it. It seems to work well from the testing I have done with it.
Thank You Nancy for making this video!! I would have overlooked this diecutting machine because I like to use electric ones that take larger plates. I will have to consider this one for a back up!
I have an electric but was bummed that I couldn’t use the glimmer with it. So this is still good to have around. Not to mention if I want to die cut on the go ( no electricity)
Noting all the fun adjustments this can do, and thinking WOW! There seem to be lots of comments about other machines out there like this… I would trust that what Gina K is selling is quality that I can trust, and that means a lot! I had a B____t that broke and once the company learned that I had used a ( quality, name brand) die other than theirs, they said I voided the warranty! Can you believe that???… Who uses only one brand of dies??… Will never purchase anything from that parent company again. Thanks for a terrific demo with lots of ideas!🧑🏼🎨😀👏🏻👏🏻
Great review Nancy! Gina talked a lot about how you put it through the paces in her Vide. I love that Gina doesn’t or want to copy any other company but yet she is all about promoting every company for the benefit of her fans subscribers and customers. Yay for you and Gina always thinking of us!
No. A Leatherman is a multi-tool that can do a little bit of everything. That's like this machine. It can cut, emboss with dies or many folder companies, use the Betterpress & Glimmer. Has a removable handle. Storage and suction feet. It's a handy little tool with multiple functions like a Leatherman.
She didn't expect it to sell out. It has been reordered. I imagine a couple of months with the size she has to order? You can sign up for notifications on her page.
I saw another crafter demonstrating this Bira Craft Die Adjustable Cutting & Embossing Machine. It is cheaper on Amazon. My question, which came first ... Gina K's or theirs? I'm concerned theirs is a "knock-off"
@@raineysmith3303 Gina responded that she did modifications to hers. I'm not sure what they were internally. I do know that she has customer service to back hers.
Are you joking? I have spent SO MUCH on machines and their stupid flim flam plates! It breaks my heart. If i had not spent so much building up my supplies, i would quit over the frustration that this machine doesn't do this or is too hard to use. Another, doing a 3D embossing folder nearly destroyed it, though advertised it could do them. No sandwhich works on it for my many 3Ds. So i buy another only to have to buy a shim a month because it is necessary. The shim doesn't just warp, but gets just plain werdly grossly deformed! It caused major damage to the machine frame, but they say it looked normal! They had to replace it! I am scared to use it anymore! For a few tries, boy, does it work well. Best ever, but soon, it was deformed again. This machine, Gina has improved and endorsed, sounds like a crafter's God-send. I would hawk my teeth to get it!
@@TheLakingc I suppose it's the right machine for you then. I, personally, wouldn't trust a machine with moveable parts that will wear or break. I'd rather replace relatively inexpensive cutting plates than worn out roller mechanisms. And layers of paper -- even scrap paper -- make fine shims that don't warp.
Do you know what those differences are? The other machine has storage, the handle goes on the same way, it has dial pressure and comes with a 9” opening. Thank you for your help!
@angelahartley3212 this one is the smaller 6" opening but you would have to check in with GinaK customer service on what the modifications are. I'm not sure.
There is a 6” version and a 9” version and they are available on Amazon. Gina K didn’t elaborate on what was “special” about her machine, and one quote I saw she was saying she didn’t have any imput in the decision making process about what was different about her machine and the regular Bira. I have the Bira and I really like it….. it does it all, foil, letterpress, embossing and die cutting including steel rule dies. It’s compact and does t take up much space.
Nancy, thank you for making this video! I love all the techniques you shared and thanks for being my tester for the Glimmer and Betterpress! :)
Thank you Nancy for an outstanding demo.❤️

Wow Gina K is really upping the game! Thank you Gina!
Hoping to see if it works well with the Gemini Foil system.
does it only roll forward? I always go back and forth especially w/ 3d folders... you didnt roll it back once lol...
You can roll either way
How thick are the glimmer plates and the letter press plates?
What is the adapter used for if it has a tension knob on there... So you can emboss only with dies?
For the older sizzix dies
Sissix has that in their warranty.
The steel cutting dies...the thick old TH one you had - just cutting mat?
Cutting mat down, paper, big die, then adapter shim.
