Great. I have a Model S but super happy to see germans really trying and this one is a killer. I do not see why anyone would choose a Benzin S Klasse instead. Love your content Nico.
I don't like the exterior and interior of Mercedes. I would never consider to buy this car. And specs and software are not doing it for me either. Sorry, but the old OEMs are still thinking to old fashioned for me and setting the wrong priorities.
Never in my life will I be able to afford such a car, or to live in a place such as Monaco. Not even in three of my lives. Beautiful car though, and as always thank you Nico for showing us this stuff!
What a beautiful car. 🤩. Hope the price would be as good as the car. There are many 1st in world features in this car so it's a unique driving experience.
Nico saying "Thank you Mercedes" in response to the system within the car is also unintentionally the appreciation for what Mercedes has done for his life haha
That car is elegant in everyway the dash looks so nice with the screen built into it not a tablet mounted to the dash that an unruly passenger could rip right off. The little pillows on the head rest was a nice touch. Mercedes nailed it
It definitely looks better without 2 tones. That's a major improvement. In my opinion it still looks super chunky and not refined on the outside. From a lot of angles the lines don't strike me as "Mercedes". Not a fan of the way they have designed the "grille" section with the black reflective surface. I get that it's an indication of the electric capability of the car at a glance - I'm just not a fan. Not every design will please every eye, but I certainly don't hate its appearance. In contrast to the outside, the interior looks cutting-edge with swooping lines and a high-quality sheen. Despite the trend being increasingly towards touchscreens, I'd rather have at the very least some analogue buttons. The features within the console look to be well thought-out and I wouldn't be surprised if Merc have brought the best infotainment system to the market again. The voice recognition software, if they have implemented it well, looks like a great feature; personally how streamlined this feature is in terms of the user-experience is make-or-break, especially with a touchscreen system. The range is a huge deal - very impressive. It seems this is a giant step forward towards catching Tesla and I'm pleased to see it.
Yeah you can clearly see the compromises they had to make for that .2 drag coefficient. For this car, I would actually prefer the two tone, but the "division line" between the tones neither lines up in the front, nor in the back. The rear 3/4 of the car looks good, but the front is just one big compromise.
if ever there was a car to get me hooked on electric, it would be this one! It can even do an austin powers turnaroud. In sweden sometimes we call our wifes "motståndet" translated to resitance. =)
Techwise this seems pretty solid. The nose looks like Renault to me and the price is pretty high for non-millionaires. The range and sound proofing is a huge plus.
Im guessing Keke may have several things to say about it .... But you won't get it on social media. If you could youd get blocked for offensive language

Hey Evan, you know he speaks five languages, right? And that he isn’t a native speaker of English, but of German? By contrast, you caught a common type of slip amongst speakers of multiple languages… what linguists term a “false friend”… impressive stuff, mate. Glad you put Nico in his place.
For those interested when he is talking about the vertical cut at the back of the car…this is called Kammback or Kama-tail design. It actually allows you to reap most of the benefits of a tear drop shape (which is very aerodynamic) without having to have the impracticality of actually making a car body with a rear that tapers to a point. So you can have a practical lift back with a car that isn’t overly long. You’ll notice efficient cars like the Prius and Ioniq, which are good examples of the Kamm-tail, have a profile that is as close to being a tear drop as possible and then have that severe cut off at the rear.
Nico, I loved the New Mercedes EQS and the journey that you took us through. Gordon Wagner and his team designed the automobile keeping the Human Factor and User Experience in mind. The refresh rate of the screens are embarrassing for a car like that. Sure the screens look all good and that, but when you swipe on them, the image updates way too slowly. It makes the car feel cheap.
A lot of the responsiveness of screens actually depends on the type of screen the manufacturer is using. For example, Tesla uses capacitive touchscreens, which are more responsive. The big issue with them is that you can't use gloves with them, so many auto manufacturers make the trade-off of a less responsive resistive touchscreen to allow gloves to be used.
I think this car is simply fantastic! The design is both impressive in terms of aerodynamics and really gorgeous to look at. The range is extremely good and the hyperscreen is just exquisite. The interior looks to be the very best, which the S class has been renowned for since it was first produced. There is nothing jaw dropping about the exterior design of this Electric S class Mercedes. The interior materials are excellent, however, the excessive ambient light sources inside the vehicle are distracting, and in my opinion fatiguing to the eyes whilst driving at night. I don't agree with the approach of engineering the front with no accessible storage simply because you have created a hospital grade air filtration system, Tesla did a better job,. Tesla's exterior design language is sultry smooth, elegant, and Timeless. Alot of individuals, and investors contributed to the success of Tesla. There is room for everyone to exist in the OEM space. I agree the Model S Plaid is a bit more exciting, but it is still great to see Mercedes develop a really nice electric car and as always, the more competition the better.
Imo the Prius is the most aerodynamic car in its range but that's just me. Priuses always surprise people who have been critics till they sit in them. They don't have to be slow, all hybrids are super fast if you press the pedal hard enough.
@@ПРОБокс-о5й Honda E and Audi E Tron already have it and what do you mean it takes time to focus on a screen? Have you never used a display? It's easier to focus because of the lack of depth perception.
@@Cloudrak I have never used a display that functions as a mirror in a car. Some car reviewers (they tested Escalade and e tron) said that it takes time to understand what's happening on such displays every time you use them. Moreover, when you use mirror you can move your head to see more. Displays don't give you such ability.
Maybe they wanted to let something over for the next generation of this car and I'am not sure how good these cameras work at night, maybe thats the point. The focus as you mentioned is probably not the problem. When you use your navigation system in car it also does not matter

I agree the Model S Plaid is a bit more exciting, but it is still great to see Mercedes develop a really nice electric car and as always, the more competition the better.
Love the Vespucci in the background!
Too bad the drag coefficient ruins the look of cars. Just look at the Prius. And it doesn't help this car either, but that's just my two cents..
It sure does feel like Merc compromised the design for sure.
Imo the Prius is the most aerodynamic car in its range but that's just me. Priuses always surprise people who have been critics till they sit in them. They don't have to be slow, all hybrids are super fast if you press the pedal hard enough.
5:24 is such an Austin Powers move hahah
Those rims are a compromise
What’s a compromise mean?
@@1990Thunderbolt What's a mean mean?
This car in black is Soooooo much better than the 2 tone shown in other vids and promotional stuff
God you cant even compare Mercedes interior to Tesla's. Its on a whole other level.
You are right of course, but the price is probably on a whole other level as well.
Probably the nicest electric vehicle daily driver ever made, as at mid 2022!! Great review Nico!
They took the whole "you never even look at the exterior of the car while driving" way too serious. This thing is bloody horrifying.
So nice ..sugar and spice! Love that Monaco spot!
It’s an amazing car but it kind of resembles an old Honda Civic
Amazing glimpse of the future.
Why does it still has mirrors? The camera solution is already well proofed.
Maybe because it takes time for our eyes to focus every time we look at display.
Hello Sr. Nico Amazing blog about this beautifull car, Im big fan of this car good work, much respect from San Francisco of Macoris Dominican,Republic peace
The interior is stunning, but the exterior just looks vanilla and boring.
Love it...absolutely love it!!! And I'm not even a big Mercedes fan. The interior could be a bit more sporty as that is how I like it!!! The range though...it's simply amazing!!!
