"There are F1 Racing drivers and F1 World Champions. But there is only one F1 World Champion who beat 7-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton in the same machinery" 🤣🤣
The F40 or the McLaren F1. They were both childhood dream cars. I remember when they both came out. The Ferrari for its beauty; the lines, the symmetry, the pedigree. The F1 because it was the world's first hypercar. A top speed of 231 mph was unheard of. The 201 mph of the F40 was crazy only seven years before. Either one would be absolutely amazing to drive. Them, or modern-era F1 car...
The way he describes old cars having a lot of feel and connectivity to the road is exactly how I describe driving my 2000 Trans Am. I know it's not an F40, but it's still an old car with a lot of analog things happening in it. Very fun to drive older cars where you can feel the road
I was lucky enough to drive one of these about 8 years ago for about half an hour. My fav car in the whole world, the noise and rattling and vibrations inside the car was absolutely insane and the kick from the turbos just induced huge wheel spin even at 70 mph, what a car, loved every single second of it
For me drive f1 car was and will be my biggest dream. I've been watching this sport for about 15 years. After every race I watched, I was asking myself what an experience it must be to drive a F1 car.
My bucket list car will always be a Sport Quattro a red one. The 5 cylinder engine roaring trhough the woods at night even gave me nightmares one time. The raw unprocessed power, i think there is nothing like it. Classic cars, man, they are the best at feels
I loved this guy as a driver, even more now. All these other guys like Schmee, or Stradman are just as knowledgeable as we are. This is who we need to listen too.
My dream bucket list would have to be the Mclaren P1, The raw speed of it along with the tech is pretty amazing for me, The F40 is definitely a close 2nd for me, as it has quite a lot of sentimental value to me
Dude, a few years back I was driving down Guardsmans Pass near the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah in my brand new WRX, when from behind me comes two Porsche 911's(one was a GT3), and a McLaren P1. Although I was a snail compared to them, after waving them by all four of us bombed down the whole canyon.... one of my favorite driving experiences ever.
The F40 will always be my ultimate. I was obsessed from the first time I saw one in a book when I was maybe 6, and was completely smitten when taken for a ride in one when I was 17 or so. I'm almost 36 now, and still haven't seen anything that comes close for me.
I worked for a billionaire guy that had an F40. I was working close to it when they started it up and remember it shaking the ground so badly that my eyeballs couldn't focus. Ever since then I wanted to drive an F40. Afraid this is probably as close as I'll get. Koenigsegg would also be a dream of mine.
My bucket list is the BMW Z8 …… so stylish, manual convertible and quick enough …. Interior is so minimalistic and ONE of the best designs in and out !
It's incredible how well the looks of these older cars stand against the test of time. My realistic bucket list car would be a souped up Mazda RX-7. My unrealistic bucket list car would be the Porsche 918 Spyder.
I really would like to drive a Mazda RX3 someday. 110Hp in a 850kg car with leafspring suspension on the back and a pre war steering gear. I have a 1.3L mazda 818(808) coupe and that's already scary with 100km/h and high wind speeds.
The F40 is my absolute dream car of all time so it's incredible to see it driven properly and in Monaco no less. Thanks for the video, and for showing us that you're not perfect either (aka red light). What a car, what a driver, wish you were back on the F1 grid!
This car, iconic and my ultimate childhood favourite, is unbelievably beautiful, raw and the definition of a true super sports car. No power steering, braking or assisted clutch, let alone electronic assistants, just raw mechanics. I love it and would die for a drive in one
What a car... Rosberg has driven some of the most advanced racing cars in thew world, yet here he is as excited as anything about driving an F40... can't see him being that way with many other road cars. Love his reversing skills too.
My hands were sweating and I wasn’t even driving! Bravo Nico! The F-40/50 are for sure on my bucket list. But #1 would be McLaren F1 on the Jebel Mountain highway. I love all these cars from that era, they are the true embodiment of driving. Pure, all you, unfiltered experience.
This is beautiful to watch Nico. My bucket list child hood dream was to drive a Porsche 987.1. After 15 years I finally got the opportunity to buy it a few weeks ago. And the glee you expressed getting into this F40 is exactly how I've felt every day since I brought it home. Enjoy life mate, only have one to live.
My all time most favorite car, the F40. I work in the automotive design studio industry, I get to see and create some of the newest cars out there, most go to the auto shows, some hit the streets, some never see the light of day, and this car stands above all of them. The closest I’ve come to the F40, was when I was living in Maranello, and a group of F40 rich guys drive their F40s down from Holland and Switzerland, some event was going on that weekend in Maranello, and the group of them drove by my apartment while I was bbq’ing on my balcony. What a sound!!!!! That was in 2013
I'm looking forward to more content like this Nico. Looking forward to you finding a neighbor with an F50. Would love to see you driving around the everyday sports cars that a lot of fans have, not just the supercars.
Testarossa and the F40. i still remember the first time i saw the Testarossa in Italy, when i was 8 years old, it was like a dream. and the next day my parents took me to the kartingcircut in Milan, there was a Ferrari Testarossa. I was looking at it and then the owner walks up and let me sit in the car and show it to me, i will never forget this moment, for me as a young boy was a moment that was unbelievable.
Actually, this and the CLK GTR are the two cars at the very top of my dream list. And perhaps a Ferrari 250 - any of them would do, not just the GTO. Thank you for sharing this with us Nico!
The F40 still is a dream for me. Ever since i saw one as a kid (my only one in real life), that is the dream! If i could even get it for a photoshoot once, man, i would be very happy.
My bucket list car is a Laferrari. When the car came out in 2013 I was in love, btw I was 8 at the time, it looked like nothing else I’ve ever seen at the time. I later got a 1:12 toy car and was by far the car that I protected the most and really took care of it and there were times where I didn’t even play with the car but just look at it and sometimes just imagining owning one and driving the car. There’s just this feeling/vibe that I get seeing that car and it’s amazing 🤩. Being a car enthusiast I think it’s safe to say that owning and driving a La Ferrari in my dream spec is what’s going to determine success in my life💪👌
I'm sure I'm not the only one getting anxious when he pushes a valuable car like that and on public roads. I hope it never gets ugly. Happy new year. Cheers
Ferrari F40 best car ever made, masterpiece of masterpieces, beyond any dream ! #2 legendary Ferrari Daytona , #3 both Alfa Romeo 33 & Ferrari Testarossa. Any car else is minnow. Nico Rosberg one of us ❤🇮🇹
The car in my bucket list drive is the Ferrari Enzo. I still remember the 1st time I saw it on tv when I was a kid being driven by Jeremy Clarckson on Top Gear. I said to my self that car is beautiful, also it's the 1st car I've seen with paddle shifter and I think it's very cool during that time because most of the car in the early 2000's are still manual.
Absolutely incredible as always, I was nervous seeing you reversing fast in a tight street with steel barriers, but yeah you're not a normal racing driver you are an F1 world champion who surely can handle road cars easily ❤
Nico getting inside the car: "Very careful not to scratch anything, very very careful." Also Nico: Accidentally removes rear-view mirror & pushes the car to its limit. Amazing content as always! Especially loved the driving part.
RESPECT Nico, driving like you stole it on those tight roads. I had a drive in one of these many moons ago at Croft circuit when I had a 993 GT2 ( awesome ). Bucket list car is an original GT40 or a Can Am Mclaren.
Closest I’ve been to an F40 was when they were new - one was being slightly modified and it was in the dyno. I even dig up my old VHS and posted it on UA-cam 😂. Seriously thank you Nico for sharing this experience with us, it was awesome!! .
Glad to see a great driver enjoying his life and providing us motorsport fans with quality content, with new experiences, so many times. At the same time, Nico, you are truly missed in a F1 grid. But, I still deeply respect your decision to have a more easy-going life, especially after you got your dream life goal of being a F1 world champion. "There are F1 Racing drivers and F1 World Champions. But there is only one F1 World Champion who beat 7-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton in the same machinery" 🤣🤣
@@jamelpiclit3062 look like Russell is beating 7-time F1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton in the same machinery these days. 😃😃
Imagine just driving along monaco as a tourist, and run into nico rosberg going the wrong way in an f40. Would make quite the party conversation.
Wow!!!! Now this is badass. Absolute dream to be able to drive this!
it was just INCREDIBLE!!!
@@NicoRosberg thank u for content man, respect from rus)
This is 100% the content i'd want to see on a world champion's youtube channel. Pushing a beautiful car to the limits. Great vid Nico 👏
Which car for my bucket list... F40. Damn, you're lucky!.
I was lucky enough to drive one of these about 8 years ago for about half an hour. My fav car in the whole world, the noise and rattling and vibrations inside the car was absolutely insane and the kick from the turbos just induced huge wheel spin even at 70 mph, what a car, loved every single second of it
10:37 he drove that in reverse better than guy in front driving forward. That was truly epic to see 👏👏👍
I was dying because it was quite narrow there and it wasn't any silly car hahahaha
My dream car definitely is the Lexus LFA. The sound of this beast is legendary.
Try Lancia Stratos HF
@@tifosi_mehmet61 My all time favorite car : McLaren F1 - (with LM spec or GTR are even more hardcore & special).. ;0)
Best sounding V10 ever built
At the four minute moment I knew I liked your manner of review.
It's amazing to see a F1 champion of the world be happy like a kid on Christmas driving this car! Cheers
It adds up to his charm, a true gentleman
@@SandStormPower totally agree! I'm Italian but I'm a big fan of Nico! I think he's very good as a storyteller!
My dream bucket list would have to be the Mclaren P1, The raw speed of it along with the tech is pretty amazing for me,
The F40 is definitely a close 2nd for me, as it has quite a lot of sentimental value to me
Dude, a few years back I was driving down Guardsmans Pass near the top of Little Cottonwood Canyon in Utah in my brand new WRX, when from behind me comes two Porsche 911's(one was a GT3), and a McLaren P1.
Carrera GT for me.
My bucket-list will be any ferrari, love the brand❤️
That absolutely focused expression on Nico's face. Once a racing driver, always a racing driver. 😎
This car, iconic and my ultimate childhood favourite, is unbelievably beautiful, raw and the definition of a true super sports car. No power steering, braking or assisted clutch, let alone electronic assistants, just raw mechanics.
I love it and would die for a drive in one
Seems like a talented driver, he should try and go pro with it, potential F1 world champion right here!
What a car... Rosberg has driven some of the most advanced racing cars in thew world, yet here he is as excited as anything about driving an F40... can't see him being that way with many other road cars. Love his reversing skills too.
“There’s race drivers. There’s world champions!!” - Nico -
“I know what you mean, Nico. I absolutely agree!!” - Max -
There’s world champions. There are multiple times world champions. - Lewis, Seb, Alonso
10:30 The historical battle: F40 versus Twingo
My hands were sweating and I wasn’t even driving! Bravo Nico! The F-40/50 are for sure on my bucket list. But #1 would be McLaren F1 on the Jebel Mountain highway. I love all these cars from that era, they are the true embodiment of driving. Pure, all you, unfiltered experience.
Watching a true car guy drive his dream is amazing. Living your best life Nico. Long may it continue. Content you provide is simply the best
Congrats!
What a champion, we love you Nico!
That was in 2013
04:23 "And now, my friend, the firsta rule of Italian driving...what'sa behind me is not important"
Check out how humble this guy is, Nico kept saying he can’t believe he’s driving a F40. Dude you were driving F1 racing car and a world champion.
"there's racing drivers, and then there's world champions" god that sounded so cool and I don't know why😂
The F40 still is a dream for me. Ever since i saw one as a kid (my only one in real life), that is the dream! If i could even get it for a photoshoot once, man, i would be very happy.
you´re righ Nico "a" racing driver is not the same as A WORLD CHAMPION!!! great quote!!! and amazing driving!
Being a car enthusiast I think it’s safe to say that owning and driving a La Ferrari in my dream spec is what’s going to determine success in my life💪👌
Love Nico's excitement and respect for this historic museum piece. I feel like a kid from Nico's excitement. Love his post-it notes :)
Nico Rosberg one of us ❤🇮🇹
Congrats on 1M subs
You'll be there
Sheeeeeeeeeeeshhhhh 650ib needs an F40
The car in my bucket list drive is the Ferrari Enzo. I still remember the 1st time I saw it on tv when I was a kid being driven by Jeremy Clarckson on Top Gear. I said to my self that car is beautiful, also it's the 1st car I've seen with paddle shifter and I think it's very cool during that time because most of the car in the early 2000's are still manual.
A match made in Heaven! Nico drove it how it should be driven. Would love to see the 288 GTO next, the supercar of the 80’s itself!
David, are you still hated by the best Ferrari collectors ?
My bucket list drive is the T.33!
Absolutely incredible as always, I was nervous seeing you reversing fast in a tight street with steel barriers, but yeah you're not a normal racing driver you are an F1 world champion who surely can handle road cars easily ❤
There is something so down to earth about Nico. He doesn't even hide his surprise driving this beast. LoL
I love videos like these… Testing the limits of rare cars that most collectors wouldn’t even take the risk. Also would love to see Nico back in f1.
Unbelievable car! You’re a lucky man. I think any car guy on the face of this earth would give anything to drive an F40. Unbelievable!
Nico getting inside the car: "Very careful not to scratch anything, very very careful."
Also Nico: Accidentally removes rear-view mirror & pushes the car to its limit.
Bucket list drive, Manual Ferrari 599, the last manual V12 Ferrari my dream car
Closest I’ve been to an F40 was when they were new - one was being slightly modified and it was in the dyno. I even dig up my old VHS and posted it on UA-cam 😂. Seriously thank you Nico for sharing this experience with us, it was awesome!! .
Glad to see a great driver enjoying his life and providing us motorsport fans with quality content, with new experiences, so many times.
At the same time, Nico, you are truly missed in a F1 grid.
But, I still deeply respect your decision to have a more easy-going life, especially after you got your dream life goal of being a F1 world champion. Family and your own time and enjoyment of life above everything else.
Cheers
Man the quality of your videos is really awesome, almost professional. Thank you for gathering such a great production team and for offering us all this great content.
are the videoes of a F1 Word Champion really professional ? why wouldn't they be man :-D
Ive spent thousands of hours around this car and had the privilege of looking at one of these along with a 288 gto every time I went into the garage for 25 years of my life. My old man still has both of them to this day. 1986 gto and 1991 f40 respectively.
the neighbour: nico rosberg, the world champion of f1, he must've known how to properly drive
nico: where's the first gear???
It's a dog leg, not in the normal position
