  • My first experiences with the Bluetti AC300+B300. In this video I get my initial impressions, load test the machine, and try it as a backup UPS with PV Priority mode. I'm not sure where in my home this will ultimately exist so I am going to try a few things.

You’re going to love it. I live in Florida where the electricity can go out for a week or more after a hurricane. I have 4 expansion batteries and it’s connected to my main box with a transfer switch. It runs all of my critical loads which includes frig., freezer, office and modem/router plus lights. Although I bought it for emergencies, I run it just about every day. The only time I turn off the inverter is if there is extended cloudy days. My light bill has gone down. Great unit…wear it in good health!

Love it. It’s becoming apparent to me that I need to find some permanent panel mounting :)

I have mine connected to four B300 batteries and it's a monster. For solar I have 10,000 watts in pv panels outside.

Yes. I am looking to add more battery soon! I have increased to 1690W of panels since making this.

How are you connecting to 10kw? A single AC300 or more? Or are you also using the AC input to charge?

Very cool unit how it can AC load match. the inverter and grid can share the load without the inverter unit back feeding the grid. They recommend a clean AC input but I was wondering if a modified sine wave can be used to AC charge the battery?

I don't know. I don't have any modified sine sources to test that.

Hope you can help me. I'm so confused about watts, voltage etc, etc. I have the AC300 and 1 B300 and 8, 100 watt panels. (It wouldn’t let me use all 8 but ok with 6 in series) I'm sure it has to do with settings. What should my settings be and how should I hook up panels (series/parallel) to get the most bang from my 8 panels. Completely off grid trying to keep starlink and cameras going. Your videos are helping me learn. Thanks so much!

What is the open circuit voltage and max power current of your panels ? Or what panels are they?

I looked them up. Those put out 20.5V peak. 8 in series would be 164V, the AC300 is limited to 150. You can put all eight that you have on one AC300 input if you wire them in 4S2P, Four Series, 2 Parallel. Google "4S2P solar panel" if you want pictures. String two sets of four nose to tail like you have already. Then use a set of MC-4 Y connectors to parallel those two rows of four together. You could connect up to fourteen of those panels on each of the two AC300 inputs in this manner, in a 7S2P arrangement on each.

@@user-ik4hs8td1y 100% is 100%, I don’t know where you are going with that. 800W is more than 700W

hi, so, in PV priority mode the energy from the sun passing the battery and goes straight to the AC load ?

Pretty much, incoming solar technically gets turned into DC/charges the battery and the inverter powers the load from the same connection. If solar is more than load output you are charging the battery, if less than then you are discharging. All with utility power just sitting there as a net to catch you if not enough solar and you run the battery down.
