First!
#WINNER!
This company has me very upset. I just ordered 10 of the batteries and only eight showed up and all of them are completely damaged.
Oh wow, hopefully they make it right. The shipping companies are not kind to packages.
My predator 2000 wont allow my ac300 to charge . Gives me a bunch of warnings overload/ low frequency and make the generator trip .
Try setting the grid input limit low, like 10A and work your way up to what the generator can handle.
@ It worked! Man I thought I bought a lemon for a second , customer service was of no help. Thank you . subscribed/ 👍
@@carpenterAF-dz2zq In my experience the AC200L/300/500 can hit the generator too hard (step load) which causes it to studder or sag for just a moment, then it either trips off or the Bluetti rejects it as not good enough. Eco throttle off gives the generator the best chance and starting the charge slower with grid limit helps also.
@ That’s exactly what happened once I lowered the amps setting to 10 it leveled off. Customer service was telling me that I needed a generator 3000 or more. Your thoughts? btw Im so new to this .
@ It’s from the step load. Engines don’t like 0-100% load in an instant. There are some ways to walk in the power draw more slowly.
Im having issues charging my ac300 using a gas inverter 2000w
Try setting the grid input limit low, like 10A and work your way up to what the generator can handle.
hello i am a baker in 7th generation, whoever designed this mixer was not aware that a metal bar right beside the spiral is not good for 2 reasons. first the dough get ripped to much between the spiral and the metal bar and second the dough temperature raises faster. a mixer without a metal bar is better.
All the smaller ones that I have seen have the breaker bar, even up to 80+L capacity.
@@DougKremer well thats the main problem, there is a new mixer out there called wilfa probaker and this mixer is build right.
What is the wooden board you have, I need one like that
It's a maple pastry/bread board, I like it quite a lot. It is this one specifically: www.bedbathandbeyond.com/Home-Garden/Pastry-Bread-Board/6405554/product.html
I JUST recieved mine. Seems to be goo quality. That said, for a backpack that accepts the power station, I would have liked it to have a collapsable handle an wheels. It gets heavy fast.
Luggage-style wheels and handle would add quite a bit of weight and bulk though. Maybe a separate travel bag like that that isn't also a backpack?
Спасибо
пожалуйста
There are many companies producing mixers like those, a made in Italy one for instance is the one from Vito Iacopelli Autencico… However the one that Ooni is going to release in April 2025 (Halo Pro Spiral Mixer) looks so super cool👍🏻
I know of only KYS and Revo that are e belt drive and this quiet. Good to hear that will be more options.
Усиление мощности с 2400kw,до 3600kw, может постоянно включенной быть? Ненавредит инвертору? Спасибо, отличный обзор. Сколько таких батарей я могу подключить к ac200pl?
You can connect two to an AC200L/PL
I just did the minium in my Autentico spiral mixer and it did the exact same thing, dough stuck in the spiral. So I guess it's really the amont that is too low
I think its just the physics of how they work. There has to be enough dough sticking to the bottom to counteract the sticking to the hook.
@@DougKremer make sense!
Hey K-Dogg, I got my KYS the other day and loving it
Excellent, which one? They are so quiet.
THE 7+, same as yours. I wanted something that I could put in my food trailer. Yes very quiet.
Excellent. its a beast.
Will this run a dometic cooler for a 4 day camping trip without having to charge. I’m interested in measurements of this I just want an answer to my question
If it is similar power consumption to my 12V compressor fridge you might expect 7-10 days runtime depending on temperature setpoint and environmental conditions.
Thanks for doing this. How is it holding up in regards to quality? Just worried about it breaking in a year.
I love it. No issues yet but I’ve only had it two months.
@DougKremer thanks. When I make dough I normally only make 5 balls at a time. So that's roughly 750g of flour. At a 70%hydration so I am thinking it will last long time as it's being used once a month. And if ever need to make a larger batch outside of the capacity just make 2 batches.
@@user-et3kk4tn4s For pizza I usually make six 250G balls, so 1.5Kg total batch which is nothing for the mixer. Bread though can be much more . it's nice to know it can easily do a lot more, and back to back batches are no big deal either as you mention.
@@DougKremer thank you for the response. Just trying to avoid having not enough dough in the mixer...so I am leaning towards the 5. Whenever it comes back in stock. I think you can get that in the U.S.
@ I probably would have gotten the 5 if it was available at the time. When I ordered the 7+ was the only 120V model they had.
Why eco mode?
Just to demonstrate what it does with each selection.
@DougKremer when charging, does it have to be on eco mode, or is it just a safty thing for the battery?
@@TheMgd2929You can charge in any mode to suit your needs at the moment. Don’t be afraid of turbo.
You can expand the elite 200 V2 via the solar input, other youtubers have shown that almost any Solar generator, can be expanded with a 48V battery connected to its solar input port. It's not pretty, but it works. Also, you can use a 20 amp solar charge controller to connect more panels and output to the V2 via the solar input, as long as the voltage is less than 60 volts. (assuming the SCC outputs 48v-60V range).
I have seen that, too. I call that extended runtime, not *real* expansion, since the daisy chained battery can't be natively charged along with the internal pack. There are lots of options to augment these things.
excellent review!
Thank you!
Good to see you're still kicking it battery technology has come a long way I got two expert power batteries I've been sub to your channel for many years like your videos
Thank you!
Outstanding!
Thanks!
How do I get my hands on a 50# bag of powdered fish?!
I have the same question.
Can I use it instead of 2 car batteries to get 24 volt UPS online?
Yes. I've been using it since this and it works great.
Can you mention some specs? Wattage? Bowl size? And does that particular KYS head tilt like others ive seen? Or ithere are different models. Thank you.
My intent was a spiral vs Kitchenaid comparison, not a commercial for KYS 🤣. This is the ProBaker 7+. 7.5L/8qt bowl, 750W inverter motor, 60lbs. This one does not tilt but they have just introduced a version that does.
Thank you. I have the AC180. Would any MC4 to 8mm cable be adequate ? I don't think Bluetti sells one.
I have a couple Amazon ones that seem to work fine. Just check they are good for 10A.
How odd that the paralleling panel at 14:27 has breakers two 50 amp breakers, two 30 amp breakers and one 80 amp breaker.
Good eye! Yes, it’s a mock up… Those are Siemens breakers and the main is an Eaton. Production version will have Bluetooth and WiFi also, which I did not see inside.
Nice review. And thanks for being a blood donor.
Thank you for noticing!! I have migrated to platelets the last couple years. I actively try to wear the wear the shirts in videos to promote donation.
I bought 8 of these 4 with BMS VERSION 2.0 and 4 with the original 1.0 Has anyone figured how to do a firmware upgrade on these. I also have these connected to a bus bar setup with longer cables all the same size and the dip switches and communication set up as per instructions. They all discharge at different levels, never the same
There is a thread of DIYSolarforums where some have managed to communicate with a PC, but I have not seen or heard about firmware update or setting changes being successful.
At the 16:19 mark you said you were working on the panel hot, and only in the lower section, BUT, at the 15:23 mark I almost had a heart attack when you were attaching your ground and neutral wires, and HAD YOUR HAND NEAR THE HOT BAR!!! Those "bars" that your breakers snap onto are HOT! Unless I am missing something, this should be made more clear for those that are unaware!
This is true but I was farther away from the energized bussing than the depth of field on the camera shows. The metal teeth looking vertical parts hold the back of the breakers and are ground with no risk, the energized bussing is a very narrow strip down where the two rows of breakers meet in the panel. I would encourage everyone to avoid doing energized work.
You need to do Pro Baker 7+ vs food processor.
Great idea.
Did I hear split phase? As in 240V? That would make it a lot more compact than needing 2x AC300 units plus the P030A.
Yes, 120/240 split phase!
How are they connected? Show us the wires
Standard P090D cables work, or new 90 degree jumpers they showed in a video presentation, but do not have here.
I agree the cable setup is simple and made to be flexible. AOlithium did not do a good job of simplifying the language. Will was really passionate about the cable size but really most people with a single 6kW inverter are fine with the daisy-chain. I chose to run sets of 2 packs with the parallel cables and longer cables per each set of 2. overkill for my setup of a single 6kW inverter and ~50A max.
100%. If you are building your own system you need to be aware of maximum amp draw and design accordingly.
Thanks for the video.... KitchenAid had been on a downward spiral in the last 10+ years and I'm really ready to ditch them.
Mine is great for everything but heavy dough.
-The head unit label has Wh does that mean built in battery? - hard to make out what it says above the PV input is that 25amp 4000w? max - only 1 battery port instead of 2, does that mean less batteries supported?
Yes, internal battery! And still AC300/500 size. 60V MPPT input. There were two XT60 ports. Maybe 1000W each, not confirmed. We were told there is an accessory coming. Yes one expansion port, 6 batteries+ internal storage!
@@DougKremer thanks! But downgrading the mppt inputs is a huge disappointment and kills this as an upgrade option from an AC 300\500
@ I agree, but I’m told there is a high power MPPT input accessory coming.
Need more info!
It is the first 120/240V power station.
How many batteries of the three different models can connect to it?
Up to six external batteries!
@ So it supports the same number of external batteries as the AC500-same amount of external storage, then?
@@jamesmorrowcjjames6327 Seems so, + one battery worth in the head unit itself.
Could you have charged it at the rated 10amps ? i believe you charged at 5amps over night?
Yes, I could have charged it much faster if desired.
I’m sold
Spiral mixers are a whole different thing.
30+ minutes to knead. Never saw a recipe calling for that amount of time. Some worry about the dough temperature.. Rich
Yes, I started with frozen flour and ice slush water. The point of this is extended sloppy dough sounds and visuals, it is not a howto on the best way to build a dough. I usually do a dough in 7-10 minutes.
was this the amazon bundle or the bluetti bundle. I wondering for what chords are sent
Bluetti bundle.
I have had nothing but problems, malfunctions, poltergeist like reliability since I BOUGHT my Bluetti. Salmonella visited me twice when it failed to keep my portable fridge cold. Hope you have better luck and if you are using it off grid hope you have a backup system. IMHO I would not take another chance use it to power any lifesaving devices or mission critical ones. Hmm I wonder when Bluetti will be relegated to being sod on Temu.
What unit are you having issues with? My AC200L, AC300, and AC500 have been flawless in 24x7 operation.
Thanks mate.
You're welcome!
How much was shipping?
It was included with my purchase.
So when it was all said and done, did you pay about 1400 USD?
@ I bought it on their old USA website (kysprobaker.com) on 10/1/2024 for 799 USD with included slow boat shipping, it arrived on 11/1. Since then they have merged the sites, introduced a bunch of new models, and rearranged prices and shipping options.
Hey thanks! I went to that website and got it for 899.00, way cheaper. So excited, I'm starting up a pizza food truck. Thanks for your time!!
did your mixer come with a lot of black stuff on it? i had to use barkeeprs friend to get some off the rod.
Wow, no. It was completely clean.
Nice video, well done. I'm hoping i can get one here in Australia, just waiting for a reply from an email that i sent a couple of days ago to KYS. Any idea on max flour amount for a higher hydration, eg 70% or 80%.
So I did 3Kg flour there at 60%. And it seemed to have plenty of room left, I think 70% would be no problem. I might try 80% just to see.
Still no email reply from KYS!@@DougKremer
Nice video and informative. Whta is the lowest flour volume you can use? I would like to make 600 g flour batches if possible so that is about 975 g of dough weight when finished at 65% hydration.
It’s rated for 500g minimum at 60%, so 800g minimum dough. I've done several 1Kg batches with no problem.
Are you glad you purchased the 7 instead of the smaller 5?
There was no option when I ordered it. At that time the 7+ was the only 120V/60Hz model. Now that there are others available I think the 5 would have met my needs just fine also.
Thanks for making the videos. It help me purchase the KYS 7+ Easy which arrived a couple of days ago. I had no problem with maximum batch sizes. The mixer just cranks right through large batches. On a side note I have been wanting a dust cover for the mixer when not in use. Do you happen to have any ideas on that, it would be nice to find something that fits.
I’m glad you are enjoying it as I am! I have not found one yet. KYS did have one on the old site as an accessory.
how many grams of flour can you use for the 7
@@lesliemacgregor5350 it is rated for 3 kg
Thank you. I am seriously considering a Kys Easy 7+. I’m stuck between it and the Famag 5S. Some have suffered breakdowns on the Kys. Can you share your honest opinion on your Kys?
I have only had it two months and it has been flawless so far.
