I'm going to do an i-cord around a finished BSJ. Not sure where to start on the sweater but frogging is my friend, until i figure out the right route. Thank you!
Brilliant! I am making a different blanket, and it has a garter stitch for the edging which I thought would be so boring. It's a nautical theme so the i-cord edge is perfect as it will look like a rope! Thank you so much for this tutorial that has made it so clear to understand!
@Meghan Makes Do thank you for your reply! I'm not sure if i phrased my question in the best way, what I'm trying to find out is how I can make a longer I cord, for example to have it 6 rows long or so.
You want to make more than one row of i-cords? I say, sure. Worse case scenario is to frog if it isn't what you like. You might prefer crocheting with a sc aka single crochet instead of i-cord.
Thankyou so much for this easy to follow i cord blanket jobbie! I didn't think I'd catch on but I have ❤

Thank you for this tutorial!!

You mentioned adding more stitches makes a thicker edging. How many stitches would you cast on and work ING pattern?
When ending, i will try by pulling the last st through the first st of beginning i-cord.
Thank you! I have a pattern include this edge and I could NOT figure out the instructions. 😊
Glad I could help!
will this flatten a finished curling edge? your sample swatch looks like my cotton baby blanket. i want to fix the curling on the row edges
Thank you for sharing
How could I make a wider cord? Would it work if I knit more rows before I pick up the next stitch? 🤔
You can make it wider by casting on more stitches when you first start.

Can this be added to a corner to corner knit blanket?
Would this work on a round blanket as well?
I think so.
On any corner, do 3 i-cord stitches into same corner stitch.
What is the pattern? That is so handsome! I love it!
Thank you! This is my Gemma Blanket knitting pattern. You can find it on my blog www.meghanmakesdo.com/blog
