What happens when you get back to the start. How to join the start to the finish? Thank you heaps for this tutorial

Is there a formula on how much yarn you would need for an I-cord to attach & finish a project?

Hello, my friend. It always depends on the yarn you are using. This is how I approach it. I would measure the area length-wise where I want to attach the I-cord. Let's say a baby blanket. Take a measuring tape and measure from the beginning to the end of the I-cord. Using the yarn of your choice, make an I-cord swatch 4" long. Go ahead and weigh your swatch or unravel it and see how much yarn you were consuming. Assuming the finished I-cord should be 40", you would need ten times as much yarn as you used for your gauge swatch. Happy knitting!
