He didn’t paint to show how good of a painter he was. He painted to show how good of a painter you could be.

Hasan Mahmud who cares if it’s copied?? Tf. More positive comments in my opinion. Who is so petty and angry to care about copying a comment? Imagine 😂🥴

What I really like is how he casually creates a masterpiece in 20 minutes
The old painters of yore couldn't do that.🤭
You go tthat right.

I always loved how he reminded us that it was our world and that we could change it if we don’t like it. Maybe he was talking about the real world sometimes.
I think you maybe right there.
I think so too
People can say what they want, but Bob Ross is the man. I’m not a painter or anything but I could watch this guy all day. Absolutely Amazing

Bob Ross is so relaxing. There, I said what I wanted to say. 😆
And he got screwed out of making any money by his “partners.” Who still profit off him to this day.

“Let the canvas do the work, it’ll pull out what it wants and give you back what’s left”. Words of a master right there.
I just finished painting this along with Bob. I´ve never had this moment of peace and self-love in my life. I may not be the best painter but I really loved how mine turned out even though it took me an hour to make. That was the best thing I´ve done in my 19 years of life so far.💌
I will give it a try as well
🏞️
I love when Bob just throws those little stories about his life in to this show, like the wild squirrel. Plus the moments where he is just really funny without meaning to be, when beating the devil out his brushes "Good to get out your frustrations, better than kicking your dog or taking it out on your spouse" :D
I get this feeling that there were probably hundreds of men who may have heard him say those words, with his gentle tone that somehow still functions as a command, I would bet he really did actually save quite a few dogs from a kick, and hopefully more women from being hit as well.

His voice combined with the nature backgrounds and the gentle strokes is just so soothing. In a hectic, insane world, you have to take 25 minutes and slow down to just watch and listen to Bob Ross.

4 minutes in it already looks better than anything I could ever do. This guy was freakin amazing!
I was gob smacked at the same point - nine minutes and you have a masterpiece- I guess it’s all down to “happy accidents “ just how good was this guy? -there aren’t enough words. And all with a brush bigger than I’d use to paint a barn door! You just don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone. God bless you Bob Ross

My daughter is an artist she's 7 years old. And told me about Bob Ross I had no idea who this guy was because I'm Horrible in art. Now I can't stop watching his videos so peaceful and therapeutic.
Wow that's nice
Bob Ross inspired my son to take up painting instead of the game controller. May God bless you always, sir.
I do both
I grew up watching Bob Ross paint in the 70’s. His voice was so soothing and calm. His show was on for a lot of years
This man CAN PAINT BLIND FOLDED!!!! AND STILL IT WILL BE A MASTER PIECE!!!!
The only problem with watching Bob Ross is his voice is so soothing I have trouble staying awake during the entire show. He was a wonderful, beautiful spirit that God took too soon. But every now and then God picks a beautiful flower from his garden.
sure miss those innocent positive days full of hope. before the dark times
This man painting is so peaceful. I could see him all the day long.
It is sweet to see this.
he makes it look so easy
the really crazy thing is when I tried to do this, it WORKED!
I have said that so many times. He has been painting for years. He is a natural at it. :)
I know this is an old comment, but the great thing about Bob's wet on wet technique is that it *is* easy. Other forms of painting can be very difficult and require masterful precision. Oftentimes requiring some formal schooling and loads of practice to learn well. Which is absolutely okay and they make beautiful paintings.
But the great thing about Bob's style of painting is that it is just very simple. Your mind is left unburdened and free so that your heart can put whatever it is feeling out on that canvas. I like to say now that some painters paint with their mind, (very methodical, sometimes even mathematical in regards to renaissance paintings and the like) but Bob always painted with his heart, and his style makes it easier for anyone, regardless of skill level, to paint what they feel. Because of him people who never thought they could paint made, and are still making absolutely beautiful paintings.
@@shannonrankin4949 I love this comment
I said that as kid he makes it look easy
The moment he introduced himself on season 1, episode 1,..."Hi, my name is Bob Ross...." and a legend was born

I love his voice.
Cool voice of the past.
He came to show us that there is beauty and peace in all of us. We just needed a little bit of help. Always feel so content watching Bob. His voice and his paintings are a window into his wonderful mind. As someone wrote below, he didn't go away and leave us alone. He simply went home when he saw we were doing better ❤️

"It's your world. You can change things the way you want them." -Bob Ross
I have never been good at painting, but I watched his show because he had a way with his voice and the way he painted that could make me relax. He is greatly missed. I wish he was alive and doing his show today because it might help calm some people down. He was very gifted.
I love this. A little river tucked away in a forest with leaves beginning to change, underneath a blue sky... ahh
I've seen little rivers like this before. Some of my fondest memories.
The kind of river that makes you want to take a fishing pole, a hook, a bobber, something to eat, and a book. Put the hook and bobber on the line and cast it into the water - let it set there. Open the book and read. When you get a little hungry, have some food and then continue reading... One of those kind of rivers???
Became my hero in early 90s and reason I became a painter. Thank you Sir. 🙌✌
I'll be honest Bob surprised me when he pulled four colors together and randomly started somewhere on the canvas. Og of heroes.
I've been watching these videos on UA-cam to wind down after a crazy 🤪 noise filled day. Nothing better than some Bob Ross therapy! He was and will always be a treasure.
I'm semi retired, recently started a new job, I always have to remind myself that there is no such thing as a mistake it's a happy little accident.
I really miss Bob Ross and my Mother!
I have always been creative and expressive in a variety of formats my whole life.
I was never very good at traditional oil paint thought. My mother, who was a VERY accomplished artist heard about Bob Ross and introduced me to his technique.
I was glued to the television when his shows were being broadcast! They both exuded such love, peace, happiness and gratitude! It was infectious!
I was hooked from the very first episode that I saw and I was able to paint pictures that I was proud enough to sign my name to!
A lot of people who I hadn't even known liked them so much that they actually bought them and display them to this day. Many of those nice people and I became great friends. I treasure their friendship more than money. I was blessed by Bob and my Mom! They gave me something much better than money! I am forever grateful to them both and I cherish their memories!
"...and let's go right up in here, and say 'there' (WHAP)..." That's the most violent thing I've ever seen Bob do! Almost spit ice tea on my screen!
Omg, yes! My exact reaction!
Yes! Man i almost fell out my bed.. geez
It got dark when he said about slipping on a moss stone and falling into the water. Phew

Yes I do
A wild squirrel sitting on bobs head trying to crack a walnut, that he gave him, is the most Bob Ross thing I ever heard. If he would have said that, little sparrows put on his bathrobe every morning, I would have believed him.

A brilliant instructor who also happens to be the grandfather of ASMR.
I remember being younger and watching these shows on TV…..the painting at first wouldn’t make sense…..but then all of a sudden, this immaculate picture he had just painted took form.
This guy certainly had a gift!
This was the only TV show I've watched from a child to my retirement years, (50yrs)!. The man is awsome!.

The best magic show your ever gonna see in under 30 minutes guaranteed. I don't care what side of the Mississippi River your on.
Man oh man does this bring back memories! I remember as a young teen coming home and no matter what we did, we'd always find time to sit down and watch Bob Ross work his genius. Watching him is like taking medicine!
This makes me want to try painting, the way how it just works all together is messmereizing.
+Wolfwaysinbed words of the wise: brushes need to be quality. I tried to use some $1 Walmart brushes to paint a base coat on my canvas and they started losing bristles in the first couple of strokes.
try it! it's a ton of fun. Canvas boards are great for practice, but they aren't good if you plan on making a full painting. Also, cheap oil sets aren't bad. I got a set from Blick that I really like. It's nothing fancy, but it works really well. Also, get super duper small brushes. Natural hair is better for oils, but synthetic detail brushes work fine. One last thing: You need paint thinner! The special kind from the art store that's odorless. Painting is super relaxing and always helps me on a tough day.

I really miss this guy. His voice is so soothing and relaxed. I'd always be amazed that he would be painting with a brush that I'd use to paint a house, not a painting. Initially I'd have a tough time seeing anything but by the time he'd finish I'd be scratching my head at how quickly he could create such an amazing painting is such a short time.
