I love to have two you tube sessions of the same painting going at the same time. One has the end result of the painting paused, right after Bob signs it. The other plays from beginning to end. This way I can see what he's going to do before he does it. I've learned a lot of things this way.

I used to watch him religiously when I was younger....I'm 31 now...and every now and then I always find myself saying...

Breaks my heart to watch these episodes. Our Bob continues to get skinner and skinner. Cancer definitely took a beautiful human from us. I hope he is a painter in his next life as well. Man is way to talented. Each life cycle needs a Bob Ross 💜🌲

I'm not hating, but I some of Bob's paintings I don't like. Sometimes his trees end up looking like billows of smoke, or mud.

I was always told those were “lightning rods”. They had a heavy, usually twisted, bar that attached them to the ground. They were supposed to direct a lightning strike around the building and hopefully prevent it from catching fire. When all the lumber was made by hand, every board and beam was precious.

I do love how everything in bobs world is happy and I do mean everything. And his stories with his worlds are so amazing.
The pictures come out so quickly with this technique an artist could go through a dozen canvases in a single afternoon.
I discovered Bob 2 years ago. Whenever i feel down or have a panic attack I watch him paint and it is like finding an isle where everything is just how it should be.

I remember being a little kid sitting in front of the console television set back in the 80's watching Bob paint. Funny how after almost 40 years, I still have the same interest, and relaxing feeling while watching a landscape come to life in front of my eyes.
I truly believe that is the magic of Bob's work, watching it come to life in front of your eyes.

There was this one night I was having such a hard time falling asleep. I kept over thinking and having mini panic attacks, so I was like "whose voice is calming that I can listen to? Who would help me?" And I remembered reading somewhere that bobs voice was so soothing and calming so I went on UA-cam and listened to him talk. I fell asleep in an instant and slept good

Cant believe he had to paint each of these episodes paintings 5 × in a row yet still has enthusiasm and passionately explains it flawlessly.
At first, the barn looked like a burnt out Pizza Hut. Bob was the master, such a talent.
Bob has been a great inspiration to me. I always say ..only God can paint a sunset like that. But with Bob's instruction I give it a good try. Maybe he's the one making all these beautiful sunsets and sun rises for God. I spend a lot of time watching him and being amazed. I keep saying I'm going to be a famous painter too, so everyone i give one of my paintings or happen to sell one, " better hang on to it, it's going to be worth a lot some day." When he says send me a picture of your work or have any question write me. I always think I wish I could.
Thank you Bob and thank God for blessing him with such a wonderful talent and a desire to share it.
