Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - Opening Scene, Virus Spreading

- Opening scene from Dawn of the Planet of the Apes (2014), showing the Simian Flu spread and the annihilation of human civilization, to know the development of the story you should watch Rise of the Planet of the Apes (2011) first, the classic 5 films are also worth watching, though they're not directly related to the plot of the new franchise.
P.S.: Madagascar closed it's ports before the Simian Flu arrived.
Directed by Matt Reeves
Produced by Chernin Entertainment and TSG Entertainment
Distributed by 20th Century Fox
I can't even imagine how Will felt, seeing his family along with most of the entire world's population die over a drug he created, must've been completely heartbreaking, like straight up Hell.
In all fairness, his boss rushed the process and approved it for trials before it was ready. Not to mention the other guy didn't quarantine after contracting the virus because his mask came off. But yeah, imagine the guilt Will carried.
I'd kill myself or decide my life to a cure
He was killed by mercenaries hired by Gensys to cover up their failure
@Big Daddy there’s a book called “Dawn of the Planet of the Apes Firestorm” it takes place in between Rise and Dawn explaining what happened
@Big Daddy it’s a good book I recommend it, though let me tell you it has a depressing ending as you could imagine
Who’s here after watching the coronavirus start going global?
Ive been telling everyone the quarantines are gonna cause civil unrest
Me...I think a super virus is a thing that could be the reason of our extinction, not nuclear wars or global warming
Me. I wanted to use this clip as an example of the Coronovirus going global. You know all it would take is a couple of infected people to fly into Atlanta or Chicago. People on their planes would spread it around the world within a few days.
@@faroukmerouani5902 I have never considered nuclear war or climate change to be the thing we should fear. Its a pandemic we should be worried about. A couple of infected people on a packed plane into Chicago or Atlanta. Probably half the people on the plane could be infected and half of those would fly on connections into other countries. That's how it would happen.

This opening scene in theaters scared the shit out of me. The music, oddly enough, was so beautiful. So calm and somber. almost reminded me of jurassic park music. The government shutdown part really terrified me. Made it seem so real and gave a real sense of loss. Ye, getting wiped out by super virus or some other deadly disease is much more likely than global nuclear war or asteroid ending most human life. Nah, it will be far far worse, trust me.
After playing Plague Inc., I think the same thing.
The thing that sucks is that we can actually create this virus within a few decades. What Will did wrong was that before you test the virus( KNOWING THE FUCKER IS LETHAL) you make a cure for it. THEN test it. Plus why in the hell did you use the Influenza Orthomyxovirus genome you know the infectivity of it would be high. Why not deactivate the replication process of the virus so it doesn't kill the person kinda like a vaccine.

This is very depressive.
@TheVincent37 Because of the ongoing coronavirus, it's become reality...sadly.
This is literally the most terrifying movie opening I've ever seen.
Because it's real?
0:09 "stay home"..its real now
We all will dead

Came here after the China Corona Virus...
“The mandatory quarantines have sparked civil unrest.” Damn movie was way ahead of its time.
Wow. Imagine this happens in reality. This is chilling
+leppard brah it can happen unfortunately...think black plague which killed 2/3 of Europe's population in the middle ages, think Spanish influenza which killed millions in the early 20th century, if humanity goes extinct someday it will be because of a bug and not because of weapons of mass destruction
+warbossgrotsmasha23 You never know
+The Best King It could happen
Well the most recent ebola crisis in Africa killed over 10 000 people and without WHO's effots to contaminate it, it would have been much, much worse.
now Ebola spread only through touch, just imagine what kind of disaster would this kind fictionary Simian flu would be, one that would spread around as easily as normal flu.
This definitely can happen we have the technology. The only question is WHY IN THE HELL WOULD SOMEONE DO THAT!?
Realizing that Mike Bloomberg is the first thing you see in this movie
The coronavirus is the beginning of the end
It is not. Remember that the Ebola outbreak in 2014 was far worse than the Coronavirus and Ebola was successfully contained. Coronavirus is deadly if it spreads too fast but China has quarantined Wuhan and other surrounding cites. This strategy is working so far as there have been no reported deaths outside of China.
This coronavirus map is just like the movie

@@TheLiamster do you want to rewrite that.
@Noble Six
Ok edgelord
@@bernardmcalister8982 exactly😂. no deaths outside of China😑....
Imagine trying to cure Alzheimer's and then ending human civilization instead.
Stay home!
"Total collapse of anything resembling civilian order"
Who would've thunk? 👏
This aged very well
This shit scares me now knowing the coronavirus is beginning to take effect and possibly spreading around the world
Don’t worry it won’t.
Liam Walsh but no one got Ebola in the US only 1 case
@@TheLiamster and now?
Well... Thanks a lot, Will 😂
I swear if I see one more, "ANYONE HERE AFTER CORONA!??!??" Im gonna delete youtube
Dew it!
The News brought me here 😳😷
DO NOT watch this after eating pot brownies
Funny beacause this movie is set to happen 10 years after the first one which was released in 2011.
So this movie that was released in 2014 happens in THE YEAR 2021!!!
Conclusion, what was an alternate future in 2014 is now a paralel present!
Anybody here while the Coronavirus spreading in China and Europe and America**
The Little Spaniard it’s also the U.S
@Jamie Smith dude thats just confirmed cases
Let’s just hope this gets contained like SARS
Another concern is the incubation period is so long 14 days
Still spreadable with zero symptoms christ
Humans getting sick. Planet Of The Apes ya'll! 😭🐵🍌 #CoronaVirus
This movie predicted the situation which will be happen real on the Earth.
And that prediction was truth nowaday.
