Thanks for posting. My race red 2015 appreciates it! I kept going back and forth if I wanted 19 or 20 RTR Tech Mesh and this video helped me decide on going with 19s. My city is riddled with potholes so comfort is definitely a factor! 😆
Yes definitely recommend 19 if roads aren’t great in your area. Nothing worse than damaging your new wheels. 19s will also be a bit comfortable for road trips
@@3dzilla8 no worries man happy to help you out 19x9.5 would be ok for 275 not 285. You’d need 19x10 for 285s. You can always dm me on insta if you have questions
Very helpful, thanks for posting. I just ordered a '24 with 19" stock wheels. I was considering going with the optional 20" wheel package. Sounds like for regular DD use, 19s are the way to go. Not tracking and comfort matters.
Yeah 19 is definitely a solid choice! Only thing 20s got is looks depending on which wheels you get otherwise 19s are better for performance, comfort, etc. definitely better for daily driver
Overall 19s are a good compromise. It is what I run and I'm pretty happy. We do have bumpy roads here in the oil capital of the USA but can't keep the roads in good shape, shame, shame. Love those wheels though!
@@Red5oh no not lowered but I think I’m just not used to driving sports cars or 20 inch rims. I think I’m going to dent them every little bump I hit but boy do they look sweet lol
@@Red5oh is it safe to just add an inter cooler, intake and exhaust? I’m hearing about this eco boom stuff, I just want it to sound a little better. I’m not a racer or nothing like that. Just a father with a toy that’s his daily ride
Hey there Red5oh I recently purchased 20inch AM (American Muscle) wheels and tires and I Love how they look but if I’m being honest I’m not crazy how they drive and perform! For one thing my ET ‘s at the track improved cause I’m hooking the 11’’ wide Summer performance tires my MPH is down a few because of reciprocating weight! I went from 18’’ to the 20’’ so I’m sure the weight is much greater! If I had it to do over I would have gone with a smaller 19’’ or even a 18’’ wheel just with a wider tire for traction purposes!
Yeah 20 inch can be pretty heavy but as long as they look great to you that's what matters. If performance was the only thing we cared about then we'd all be running gutted cars to save max weight lol. Better tire go long way! I had 255 before and could barely hook but these 285s have made the car a lot more fun to drive
I have a set of both. 19s and 20s the 19s ride and accelerate much better. The 20s look good but the bigger wheels feel sluggish and the feel economy is noticeably worse.
I actually have steeda sport progressive springs. With your Eibach sportlines you’ll get even better stance as steeda is 1 inch drop vs 1.5 inch drop for you
Question, I wanna do the set up you have however I’m concerned about rubbing. Is there any rubbing ? And were they easily able to do an alignment with the steeda pro springs and those wheels and tires?
No rubbing! Was able to get the alignment without a problem. Tire shop did say 285 was pretty much the max with these wheels on the front. He showed it to me and it looked if I went 305 on front it would rub
He talked for 3 mins and 29 second. He could of dummy it down to 30 seconds by saying your gonna pay more for bigger wheels n less of smaller ones. Plain and simple

i think the general consumer has been conditioned to believe bigger is better, but a more nuance enthusiast realizes application matters most.
Yes exactly! It's always good to take a step back research on your own than going for the bigger number
Thank you for all this info man. I’ve been searching sites for a good 19x10 wheel with 285 squared setup but it’s hard
Yeah for 19x10 you want to be around +35 off set. SVE has some nice wheels selection
@@Red5oh I’ve been looking for your same wheels but they’re out of stock haha
@@Red5oh sorry to bug you man. I only seem to find 19x9.5 wheels online for mustangs. That should be fine for squared 285 setup ?

I got recommended the best fitment is 20/10/35 275 front and 20/11/30 305 rear, I placed the order will see how it looks without lowering.
Curious to see how that looks

Yup it’s my daily driver that’s why I went with 19s too. Wheels are definitely a looker
I might get this set up! thanks for the vid! do you have spacers?
No spacers! I am pretty impressed with the fitment
The absolute best "staggered" fitment which looks amazing is...265/20 front - 315/20 rear- will fit S550 Mustang
Yeah that’s a great option for people considering 20s
I have 20s and I feel everything
Yeah 20s look good but ride quality definitely decreases. Are you lowered too?

Hey Bro. Could you have gone with 285/40/19 for more comfort over the 35 series sidewall?
That wouldn’t have fit. I could’ve find 275/40/19 but honest you can’t tell difference with sidewalk being a bit less. It still rides pretty good
Can you provide details of your rims and tires? I like your set up.
I’ve got SVE SP2 wheels 19x10. Tires are 285/35/19
Great info 🔥

Yeah for looks alone 20s make more sense without a doubt. But overall I think 19 is better.
So I got a s550 22 mustang gt. What rims should I buy
Rims are personal preference but I like these pp2 wheels that I have

I have 20 inch Asanti with 305 looking to go smaller to drop the car
You should be fine to drop the car in 305 and 20s just make sure the diameter is close to stock. I went 285 and lowered the car and no issues
Whats your wheels spec ? Offset, and by 9 or 10 .
It’s 19x10 +35 offset. If you get tires bigger than 285 in the rear then do 19x11 +50 offset
So I need to order four 19x10 wheels, I thought that the same ones didn't fit up front, but I see that they do and wow how good they look. Thank you
Is the car lowered?
Yes on steeda progressives. 1.1 inch drop
