I have 2 sets of summer wheels and my ESR CS15's ET22 are 285/35/19 Square setup with 1/4 spacers to clear calipers anb my second are Superspeed RF07's with 305/35/20 ET40 Rear and Fronts 275/35/20 ET35 with a 1/4 wheel spacer for the fronts for a flush look. I find that 285's are perfectly fine for hard launches but 305's do give you a better feel of beingplanted but no issues running 285's either!
Yeah I’d love a 305 set up too! I just wanted to keep it 19 and AS instead of summer tires. They don’t make wider than 285 for AS. I’m thinking to get summer tires so likely will do 305 this time around
Hey there Mr Red5oh I have a staggered set up! 285 30ZR20 rear 255 35ZR20 front! I was curious what tire pressure you are running in your set up? I’m coming from 235 50ZR18 that recommended 32 psi and trying to find the best TP for the wider lower profile tires! Thanks
What size are you running? 285/35/19 tire with +35 offset on 19x10” wheel? I’m looking to run this on my pp1 with mag ride. I love the staggered look but it pushes way too much in the front. Figured I’d square it up as it’ll handle better. I need rear tires anyways. The Pirellis have 7k on them and the rears probs have another 1k before they’re toast
@@Red5oh Hi, I own a 2019 Mustang GT California Special package. I think my wheels are 19x 8.5 I think. I know nothing about car or wheels. Do you think your setup can fit my car? Or the tires shop should know what how to fit the same size tires of yours to my car? I do like all around same size vs smaller in the front. Please kindly let me know. Thank you.
Hey so I’ve been watching your channel for a while now and I love your gt man. I currently have a 19 ecoboost 6MT and there is this really nice 22 gt 6mt. It’s in cyber orange w black accent pack and I feel like it’s literally my dream car. I just have questions about fuel economy, like I know maintenance will be more expensive not sure w insurance tho, but like what do you get in terms of gas mileage with it? Like city, highway, and averaged? Most importantly how many miles of range do you get out of it per fill up? This is why I didn’t go with the gt in the first place, don’t get me wrong I love my ecoboost but it’s literally a dream car of mine and having the perfect spec is what I need. My favorite car in my favorite color with 460hp and v8 sound would be a dream. So yea, just wondering on the range you get with it and since it’s my dream car i planning on driving this thing till the wheels fall of so additionally any car issues? My ecoboost has been amazing in terms of reliability.
Honestly if you can easily afford the upgrade you should get the GT! The sound alone is worth it. As far as mpg I typically see 20.5/21 mixed driving. Highway only can be 26 easily. Most I’ve seen is 29.4 mpg on a road trip driven conservatively. For what it is I’m pressed with the gas mileage tbh. Depending on how it’s drive typicall on a full tak I’d get avg of 280-300 miles. Sometimes 320 if driven conservatively
Hey man so I’m getting new tires soon my wheels are 20x9 and thinking of getting 285 Michelin super sports you think I can pull it off without having to run spacers? If not what’s the largest you think I can run? Current setup are 265s from factory. Thanks!
20x9 is a bit small for 285. I’d recommend at least a 10 inch wheel for 285. You couldn’t probably do 275 but still not ideal. If changing the wheels not keeping stock ones I’d just do the proper upgrade to at least 10 inch wheels
this shit is so confusing i got a 2022 mustang gt premium with the night pony package stock wheels are 255/40 R19 (19 inch rims) i want a square set up using the widest setup i can run with the stock rims.
Had the same stock set up. Widest you can go is 255 on stock rims maybe 265 without stretching too much. You’ll have to upgrade wheels to run wider set up
I’m thinking about staggering mine with 285s in the front and 315s on the back but I’m not sure how wide the wheels should be and I don’t really like low pro tires I want some taller side wall like 35-40 but my car is lowered so idk if that will work on the 20” wheels I’m getting. And the whole offset thing throws me for a loop. Because they are gonna be staggered but I want them to both either stance flush or both poke the same amount.
With 285 you can do 35 but for 315 you’re gonna need to drop 30 for side profile. Lowering shouldn’t be an issue but you’ll definitely run into smaller sidewall in rear
@@built4speed305 you could make 335s but would definitely custom alignment and the right offset to make sure it’s as flush as possible! 325 should a bit more Manageable. Anything over 305 and good brand of tires should be plenty for traction unless you’re boosted with some crazy hp # lol

nearly 26k miles

Some use an 20x12 with 55offset. They have to use rear camber to help with the poke
Yeah offset is key to making the fitment as flush as possible. Once you get too wide you have go with custom offsets and alignment to get a nice look
20x10.5s flush on my 17 gt and on my 18eco..did have to run small spacers on gt's fronts due to brembo brakes

You can run a 345 in the rear. But compound way more important that size. Size is not that important to be honest.
Yes definitely! 325 AS won’t hook as good as 275 Summer tire
But it looks better on the street. The looks will have people go Gyatt dang!
If u run 305s, can u use the stock Mustang Performance wheels, or do u need a different wheel?
You’d need different wheels. As stock PP wheels cap out at 275 maybe 285 max

I have 20×10 on the rear with a 295/35 and it fits fine. I used a 285 before and it's best on a 20×10
Will these massive tires put added strain on the rear axles and diff??
No added stres going wider tires
Does changing the sizes affect anything- speedometer etc?
As long as the overall diameter is the same then no it won’t. Look up tire size comparison website to get an idea
