Love Marty Robbins. He's a great songwriter & knows how to tell a story. The 2 sexiest voices in Country Music will always be Marty Robbins & Conway Twitty!!!

His cover of "Cool Water" is another great song off that album. It's a classic by the Sons of the Pioneers.

As an old bartender you don’t want to be making 7 whiskey 7’s when they sing Cool Water. Yep I did it.

I’m born in 1950. I enjoy listening to you kids listen to our music. Cracks me up. To me these ballads are timeless and I’m so glad this reacting is a thing.
The fact that so many of you think these people lived the songs they wrote. It means they did a good job.
Sorry about the artwork. Most of that was simple and not easy probably. Typewriters and paint maybe.

Flo is either short for Florence (remember the ill-fated Flo Ballard?) or for Flora (or a related name)...how sad that these things have to be explained!

"The Hanging Tree" is one of Marty Robbins biggest hits. It's from the 1959 western movie of the same name. ua-cam.com/video/3h7tx00wams/v-deo.html

actually the first person to sing that is Beryl Ives. The sons of the pioneers did a cover of it as well that is just as good as marty.

Do not ask forgiveness when no insult has been given and never appologize casually for things beyond your control. Doing so make things more fluid socially, but as a man (and therefore forever seeking challenges as a person to become a better one) to a young man from a generation lacking dististinctly patriarchal advice: don't. And never, ever lie to yourself. Whenever a man lies, he murders some part of the world and a little of the hope he has for himself. Just stay quiet or refuse to answer if the truth is very condemning, but work to correct whatever caused it. Put it on the "at least once everyday" list of stuff to actively focus on improving (only way to actually keep doing, rather than just "later"). What you say about yourself, how you say it; your body and mind listen, overtime they can change to better emulate your descriptions of you. Speak lowly or servilely or appologetically and you'll adopt those behaviors more Acting as they expect or desire you to do (as inferior to them), reinforces their behavior and yours at the sub-concious psychological level. Acting in a way that accomodates the unreasonable expectations/opinions of others leads to you being more accomodating of people like that when you should dismiss them out of hand as illogical, mentally impaired opinions from someone that constantly aggitates their own mental illnesses to feel better or feel at all. If the mind, body, and spirit's overall developement were to be averaged out, they'd have the lowest score thanks to zeros in spirit and mind but were too lazy or weren't gifted enough genetically to see any real gain from physical effort. You can cause yourself to become genuinely appologetic and to seek their approval/forgivess emotionally, essentially what you say can become what you are without even noticing if you aren't watching close. Don't talk crap about yourself.

New generation? I'm 25 born in 1999 In my personal feelings, music has declined if you mean progressed as in moved onto other ways of doing things, yes, but if you mean progressed in a positive way, I'd say no. People are using tools to make things easier now wich in my personal opinion is causing the quality to go down significantly.

It’s not the tools. It’s money. In the old days a label could afford to put serious money into an artist and letting them make the best records they could. Studios, musicians, orchestras, whatever was needed. They could promote at the time where maybe 3 TV networks and local radio stations were they way most people learned about new music and artists. If the artist hit, they would sell tons of records and make their money back many times over. Now with the internet, streaming and piracy, there’s not that much money, so they use produc
