My mom was crazy about Marty Robbins. She always said that he could leave his boots by her bed anytime.
🤣and mine ! ❤
Marty Robbins is the main singer. Those are his backup singers. He has a great voice and a lot of great songs, such as El Paso and Streets of Laredo, The Masters Call.
OK, AB. Marty Robbins, huh. So many directions to go. Simple cool 50s, "A White Sportcoat". Country ballads, "Faleena", "El Paso". Gunfighters, "Big Iron", "Mr. Shorty"(one of my faves). Do you want to get a litte misty? "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife".
Believe me, this is just a short list.
Marty could sing anything. His Devil Woman album doesn’t have a bad song on it. Check out El Paso, The Masters Call, Big Iron, Don’t Worry, Ka-Lu-a, Begging To You. But be careful. Marty Robbins can be quite addictive.
i love dont worry and song of a bandit
Marty is definitely Country Music royalty. He has many hits. My favorite is "Master's call". He has an album called the gunfighter ballads. There is not a bad song on the album. Marty was also a Nascar driver
I completely agree!!
I adore Marty Robbins!!!!!! Sigh............ He's as good as Elvis to this Girl! I'll even blow your mind. I saw him perform at the Grand Ole Opry when I was a little girl! Truth! :)
Great reaction! Marty Robbins is LEGEND 😊
You need to hear El Paso by Marty Robbins
Marty Robbins also was well-known for his Western ballads. One you might want to check out is The Master's Call. Also Big Iron. I love your channel.
As everyone has said El Paso … pure fire. Great reaction! Thanks for this one! ❤
Marty Robbins was one of my grandpas favorites. He's since passed away but he gave me his cassettes and player. So i listen to Marty Robbins when i start missing my grandpa real bad. Anyways great video as always! 😊
Marty Robbins was an Arizona cowboy, my dad's favorite, and one of my favorites. Singer-songwriter, these are songs he wrote. Handsome as heck, too!
Marty is just the lead singer. Only had backup singers for this song of his most famous songs. His music, to me, is like old westerns. Makes you feel good but you can not explain why. Big iron and El Paso are great.
That cool infliction you hear in Marty's voice is because he yodels! He is one of the BEST and he was able to transition his voice from cowboy music with the yodeling to country where yodeling was used less❤
Also known as flipping from chest voice to head voice.😊
Marty Robbins never recorded a bad song! His trilogy is awesome, El Paso, Faleena and El Paso City are the three songs in that order. My favorite is My Woman, My Woman, My Wife 👵🏼☮️💜😎
marty's cowboy side "el paso" his blues side "don't worry about me "
Marty Robbins was such a great storyteller and has an extensive catalog. He has an album of Gunfighter Ballads that are all story songs. Definitely recommend "Big Iron", "The Master's Call" and "El Paso" from that (though any of the tracks are certainly worth a listen), but also look for "My Woman, My Woman, My Wife" and "Lord, You Gave Me a Mountain". He served in the Navy in WWII and was also a race car driver and was credited with likely saving the life of Richard Childress when he made a split second decision to turn his car into a concrete barrier while going 160 mph rather than plowing into cars that had wrecked and were strewn across the track in front of him (had he not turned he would have T-boned the driver side of Richard's car). He ended up with 37 stitches on his face, a broken tailbone, and several broken ribs.
I love Marty Robbins. My favorite is Don't Worry About Me, which has been covered many many times.
One of his signature songs was My Woman, My Woman, My Wife. Merle Haggard always did a great imitation of Marty, among others. And he did several western songs as well , the most popular being El Paso..
He was one of my Dads favorite. Growing up we heard a lot of County, Western, Hillbilly & Blue Grass on radio & record player. Wonderful memories and many great artist. Love your program.
Marty Robbins was my dad's favorite, especially El Paso. He'd play it on our old stereo player continuously especially after a couple of drinks! Mom finally had enough one night and broke the record! I'm 71 now and think of dad everytime I hear Marty's great voice
By all means listen to El Paso and El Paso City, but Big Iron is like watching a movie in your head. All of his songs are definitely worth a listen ❤
There is not a bad song from Marty. There are so many to recommend but next please do El Paso. ❤❤❤❤❤
My father loved Marty, I grew up and LOVE listening to him yodel..
I remember seeing a clip of an interview with Marty, and he described his music as "Western" music. He made a distinction that there's a difference between Country and Western music.
My PawPaw had a Marty Robbins cassette tape we would listen to when visiting them on the weekends and the summer. “White Sport Coat”, “My Woman, My Woman, My Wife”, and “El Paso” were my favorites on it.
Cool Water, Feleena, and A White Sports Coat are some of my favorite songs.
I'd camp out in front of the TV when he was going to be a guest singer. I'd even sit through Hee Haw to watch him lol
Of his 50+ albums I'll second Devil Woman and add Gunfighter Ballads and Trail Songs.
"Marty Robbins - Big Iron" Marty Robbins was one of the best storytellers of "western ballads" ever.❤
Only a few years ago, I discovered he has a son named Ronnie Robbins.
It was trippy, because in a matter of minutes I discovered him, saw him perform with Marty at the age of 16, then saw him do a medley of Marty's songs after he passed when he was probably in his 30's, then I saw him in his older age perform Marty's songs.. It's also trippy, because they sound almost the same and he has all of Marty's facial mannerisms when he sings.
I didn't know of this song. I usually only hear the two from his Gunfighter Ballads, which I know by heart.
Marty had a LOT of songs that were FIRE!
Now please do "Big Iron" by Marty Robbins it's my all time favorite of his! I loved your reaction to this awesome song!
There are soo many good ones you could do! I love My woman My woman My wife. El Paso, big iron. I am so excited to see which other ones you visit!
When I Heard The Master Call.... Is A Must...even if you don't react to, treat yourself....
Marty is one of the best. the backup singers here may be who later became the Glaser brothers. i know they sang backup for him for many years in his early days
This is one of his calmer songs
My favorite singer of all time.
The next time you plan to do a Marty reaction, you've got to do the trilogy. In order they are "El Paso", then "Feleena" and lastly "El Paso City". The first one is pretty long - like a 5 min song.. but I think you would enjoy the series. Thanks for the reaction - Mr. Robbins had a voice like buttah...
Marty is the main singer, and the others are back up. Check out his songs, El Paso and Big Iron!
Marty Robbins does a lot of good music. He has a trio of songs that all tell one story - "Feleena (from El Paso)" (a prequel to "El Paso") and "El Paso City". I'd heard the El Paso songs several times over my life, but just heard Feleena a few months ago!
Oh boy, gunfighter ballads!!!I can't wait
All of his songs are fire....a true story teller!
Marty was backed up by the Tennessee Three. They were a group. Marty was solo.
You in for a ride Bro, Marty's work is epic! Enjoy!
If you enjoy the change of note (yodeling style), you should listen to Aaron Tippin. She made a memory out of me, Hell of a note, You've got to stand for something, three of my favorite songs by him. However, I have not heard a bad one.
Marty is a beast❤❤❤
Great singer!!!!!💖💖
First country song to win a Grammy. Was his top hit El Paso. And with no auto-tune
Marty is the guy singing
Please checkout El Paso, Feleena from El Paso, and El Paso city, it’s a trilogy listen all 3 and big iron is another one
Tall handsome stranger is another one that paints a picture in your head ❤
Marty’s A white Sports Coat and a Pink Carnation is the first one I remember
El Paso is his most legendary hit. It a great love story in the times of the old wild west.
Listen to El Paso by Marty
Check out his song, 'El Paso'. Very cool story.
Marty Robbins is THE SINGER! The others are just his backups.
I love this song ❤
You have to find the video of Merle Haggard singing Devil woman to Marty Robins.
Song of the Bandit and his version of Ghost Riders in the Sky, done before Johnny Cash, are stellar!
The stories i could tell you about Marty!
You must do the El Paso trilogy. El Paso, Feelena and El Paso City.
The Trilogy you need to listen too is El Paso, Felena and El Paso City
My favorite is El Paso. Also like Big Iron
Most music reactors agree. The older Country is the best.
Love the dude
Yessss you got it , lol 😂❤
Please do his song I walk alone you will not be disappointed
If you're familiar with Fallout, the games, you might've heard one of his songs.
I think it was in Fallout: New Vegas.
