The Seasons, op. 37a1 (also found, in some cases, as op. 37b; Russian: Времена года; published under the French title Les Saisons), is a set of twelve short character pieces for piano by the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky. He wrote each piece to characterize the different months of the year in Russia, although the names that appeared in the publication of the pieces were chosen by the publisher, not by Tchaikovsky.
