This has got a solid feel to it. A lot heavier than the Duncan Butterfly XT if a point of reference is needed. I don't think of this strictly as an entry level throw though it would be a whole lot better than giving a kid a Butterfly. But...both have their merits but with the Fizz I can definitely see a newbie being able to more quickly grasp basics and then want to try some more technical things. I like it because it's feels nice and it's fun to take a break from looping and throw this thing around for awhile. The response teeth are nice, smooth, and don't make noise (like the FAST210). I really like this!
To me the butterfly XT kinda disappointed me because of the teeth and how it’s spin had hardly any power behind it’s spin and it didn’t feel like a yo-yo because of how light and non solid it was and you make a solid point about the fizz because the yo-yo took the fast 201’s teeth and smooth play.
kyler thomas Adam may get around to answering this, but I can tell you from past answers they've given that they're not fans of MagicYoyos in general. The Skyva is the first one they've ever sold, or even really had anything good to say about. They feel that MagicYoyos in general are poorly designed and cheaply made, including the N12, although I believe (although don't take this as gospel, I could be remembering wrong) he said that the Stealth was a step in the right direction, but only a step, it still wasn't very good. Having said all that, although I'm not much of a fan of MagicYoyos, myself, if you like them, then by all means, throw them. If you find a yoyo that you love, it doesn't really matter if everybody else in the world thinks it's crap., if you love the yoyo, throw it. It's all about how you feel about it. Hope I helped a little, anyway.
I got this yoyo as my starter one and i was having a hard time learning the side mount. When it would land, it started losing spinning speed. Took me a while to understand that the teeth were interfeering so i loosen the yoyo ti give some space for the string, making the yoyo less responsive (that wasnt much of a problem). Now i am having trouble ballancing my hands. Any tips?
For some reason my throws only last about 10 seconds before the spin is so slow it can barely make it back up the string. That’s with the straightest I can throw. Is there anything I can do to make it spin longer fresh out of the box?
The string that comes on the Fizz is a little on the thick side to make it easier to get it to come back up. If you have a replacement string, like the string in the pack, you should find it sleeps longer. Also, the longer you play the more your throw will improve in general.
@@yotricks The time I got was on replacement string as I opted to use that first, but it seems it's dependent on improving my throw to give it a better spin going down
i have a question if i wanted to clean my bearing will charcoal lighter fluid work? and also if i wanted to lubricate my bearing would vegetable/canola oil work?

I am having a lot of trouble putting my duncan butteryfly yoyo to sleep do you know why and i have already checked out your video on why your yoyo may not be sleeping
It is difficult to get the Butterfly yoyo to sleep for more than 3 seconds, because it does not have a ball bearing (like the Fizz in this video). When it is not sleeping, most likely the problem is that the string is too tight around the axle.
Hello, I am considering buying this yoyo, because I have never yoyo-d before and it seems like a great beginner yoyo. However I have few questions: How long does it spin (sleep) on average? Dont the teeth interfere with the string when doing tricks, slowing the yoyo down? Thanks
It will sleep 20-40 seconds with a straight and powerful throw. The teeth do not interfere with tricks on the string, unless your string is too thick. The string we recommend in the Beginner Pack are perfect for this yoyo. That being said, if you thing you are interested in getting very good at yoyoing, you might want to check out the Sage Yoyo Starter Pack. It allows you to setup the Sage as both.a beginner and advanced yoyo by swapping out the bearing. yoyotricks.com/shop/sage-yoyo-starter-pack/

I often wondered why YoyoFactory stopped making the SpinStar, it was such an awesome beginner throw! So glad you guys have been able to bring it back - definitely one of my favourite beginner throws!
I've been trying to talk them into it for years when I finally realized we could get a whole run made just for us... so I did. It has always been a personal favorite.
I've got a friend who's thinking about getting a yoyo, they have no experience. I started with the Sage myself and was going to get them one of those but after seeing this I'm not sure which they should get.
If you will be there to help them learn, I suggest you go with the Sage, especially if you really like that yoyo. If they will mostly be learning on their own, it may be better to go with the Fizz.
I only have one problem with the fizz, doing string tricks is really hard for some reason, is it because the teeth? Cause I don’t think that is not the probable reason, can someone help me clear this up?
No. If you are looking for a yoyo that works that way I would suggest the Sage. yoyotricks.com/shop/yoyo-store/yoyo-brands/yotricks/the-sage-yoyo-pro-pack/
which yoyo did you get? If you got a responsive one then it’s not meant to spin that long and since it’s responsive the bearing is supposed to be lubed with thick lube which makes it not spin when taking it apart when you flick it, if you got a unresponsive one I recommend replacing the bearing as it is most likely broken or try putting thin lube
It is an great yoyo but i can't get it because it wants 70$ for shipping because im living in Turkey. and 70$ makes like 800 turkish money,so you can just think like paying over 800$ for a 10$ yoyo.

This yoyo actually looks like a ton of fun. It's like if you took a starburst experience and update it a little bit. I might get one just because literally nobody thinks about revisiting starburst response anymore. Not a lot of people these days realize that playing starburst responsive is the funniest thing ever.
The Butterfly XT uses starbursts, which are similar but not as well suited for play as the response in the Fizz. The starbursts in the XT are not as aggressive as the teeth in this yoyo, which means it does not play as responsive and consistent as the fizz. At the same time, the starbursts in the XT do not allow the yoyo to sleep as long since they will not move out of the way when the yoyo is sleeping.
The bearing come pre-lubed, so it should not need to be lubed again, at least not this soon. I would recommend changing the string if you have another. If you decided to lube again that would not be a problem, but the bearing should be fine for a while without it.
My fizz was delivered yesterday but I’m having trouble getting it to sleep at all, it usually just comes back up, I’m throwing it properly and have already tried widening the gap and changing the string, do you got any advice for me?
which is better theFizz or Sage ? im having trouble choosing which of the 2. im a beginner, i can only do up to "double or nothing" on the 50 first tricks with my blazing teens yoyo. . also i skipped the tricks related to looping cause my yoyo is not an "imperial shape" so im having trouble doing those.
The Sage will make it possible to do more advanced 1a tricks, but the Fizz can be used to learn some 1a and some 2a tricks (the Sage is not good for 2a). It all depends on what your interest are. At your level I would suggest getting a Sage and an Oracle instead of a Fizz, since you already know the basics, but it is up to you, of course.
If you use it for more than an hour every day you will probably want to replace the pads every 1-2 months, but it is unlikely they will come out on their own, unless you get lube in them.

can "thefizz" yoyo do all th 50 first tricks?
Just about all except those tricks that require and unresponsive yoyo, like the grind.
which is better theFizz or Sage ? im having trouble choosing which of the 2.
im a beginner, i can only do up to "double or nothing" on the 50 first tricks with my blazing teens yoyo. . also i skipped the tricks related to looping cause my yoyo is not an "imperial shape" so im having trouble doing those.
The Sage will make it possible to do more advanced 1a tricks, but the Fizz can be used to learn some 1a and some 2a tricks (the Sage is not good for 2a). It all depends on what your interest are. At your level I would suggest getting a Sage and an Oracle instead of a Fizz, since you already know the basics, but it is up to you, of course.
okaaay. also i came across about replacing response pads and stuff, should i be worried about the Sage's response pads wearing off?
If you use it for more than an hour every day you will probably want to replace the pads every 1-2 months, but it is unlikely they will come out on their own, unless you get lube in them.
I want to Buy this yo yo but I Am in india 😅 can it shipped
