Clapping! Really great interview Chris. Jannik - great to see that VW is listening (it may not seem like that sometimes - especially here in the US). Stay brave "mutig" and innovate fast! Thank you! Jan.
Danke für das Interview und danke für deinen Besuch auf dem ID.Treffen in Locarno. Nächstes Jahr gerne für das komplette Treffen zum Genießen aller Programmpunkte 😉🫶
This would have been a perfect opportunity to ask them for a confirmation that 4.x cars would update to 5.x. I’m not really missing anything in the car itself with 4.x, but the slightly better app function with 5.x would be nice :)
Škoda explained to us why that still not happen. And having driven a car with 5.2 I could not see any difference from 4.0 on my car. That's Škoda though so it may be different with VW but for Škoda the first number (4 or 5)refers to a hardware difference. So cars with 4.0 will update 4.0 to 4.99etc not not to 5.x because of different hardware.
Nice interview! I just want to know why id software 3.x hasn't the care that should have, there are thousands of vw, skoda or cupra that are going around with a beta-ish software. If the hardware limitates the evolution of the software, why not swapping all the headunits with the newest ones that can support surely software 5.0? It can be expensive for them, but keeping a car with this software experience is quite annoying, and probably they will lose many customers after selling their car with software 3.x in the future
I have a question I asked the dealer and they don't know. The latest id models support vehicle to home, but I don't know of an actual charger that can use this functionality. The issue with it is that it provides the power in DC so there needs to be an inverter to be able to use the power in the house as AC. I can't find info about this anywhere

@@enyaq_gorm they have previously indicated in the ID. Drivers club that they would update 4.x vehicles, but you never know.
Great interview but I am really curious about that purple ID Buzz. Is that a wrap? New colour?? :)
Tolles interview Chris. Wo kann ich den dato von ID treff sehen ?

@3:15 Skoda does that also in Skoda EV lounge. They also invited customers to visit Mlada Boleslav for a EV lounge meetup and roast Skoda CEO.

Ich hätte da mal 'ne Frage zum Lane-Assist...
