Hey everyone! Enjoy this little vid. Note that the white Sram b-tension guide tool should be used when the bike’s suspension is at full sag. In this video we use it in the repair stand as a demonstration, but for proper tuning you’ll want to set the B tension with the bike’s suspension loaded up 🤙
You can do it in the stand by letting some air out of the shock [after noting the pressure] and pulling the rear wheel up towards the seat rails with a strap/rope/etc. till you reach your sag point.
My cheap AliExpress derailleur was being a bitch when shifting to lower gears, I had enough and after giving it a good kick the mf was shifting smoother than when it was new
I've watched loads of videos on derailleur adjustment and I swear this short is probably the best one I've seen. Just simple and shows exactly what to do and when... Love it
practice! after adjusting them for years it's a walk in the park for me but it was a hefty learning curve for sure. and if you still can't get it bang on then it's pretty likely that your hanger or derailleur cage is bent :(
@@sma4827 right between the eyes with this one, i literally spent a week trying to tune my newly bought bike, and after everything, i had looked and the guy literally bent the deraileur, worked fine since then
@@1188clean You don´t need to spend money on a bike stand unless you are a mechanic who makes an intensive use of it. You can just do it with a rope attached to the roof.
Yes and know, after rebuilding my ENTIRE bike I've learned those little screws can look perfect while configuring but cycling around the block changes your perspective...

Thank you for not clamping it down on the upper post but the body of the post itself. I see some shops clamped it down on the upper post and it’s so cringe.
Your gears are so easy to shift. My thumbs got sore after just 30 mins of riding and shifting. Is there any fix for hard shifting. It takes the whole force of my hand just to switch into the final gear.
Do u know what these tools are and where I can get them for cheap like a Walmart and what do u guys recommend I get for my bike I don’t really go on trails I just kinda have fun enjoy and ride on the streets I am buying a hyper havoc or some it’s gray not the best but decent for the price I am getting a gel seat do u guys recommend any mods?
I have NX on my HT and works really great but heard / seen that if your looking for something that works amazing and doesn't break the bank, the GX is the way to go

Hi! I want to watching your video explain available? Thank sir!

@@phorest This is a great tip!
"b-tension guide tool" mother of... can you explain in english wtf that does and i doubt it works on all bikes...
@@wtfvids3472 That is the name of the tool. It is used to help set the proper B-tension adjustment on Sram Eagle 12s rear derailleurs
Now I have seen everything, a power hoist for a bicycle work stand 😱
I've heard in Europe that they're required by law in some bike shops to prevent workplace injuries
@@dadlife8289 Europe is cringe
You need to get out more.
Just more things park tool pumps out to make money electric hoist lol just lift it ya tit
Right? Those 29lb 10k bikes need a 5k bike stand!!!🤣🫣🤣🤣
My derailleur decides to fix its self overnight it’s awesome.
my car decided to do that and no one has a clue why
Same
mine fixed after i got crash
My cheap AliExpress derailleur was being a bitch when shifting to lower gears, I had enough and after giving it a good kick the mf was shifting smoother than when it was new
My old pc Ram sticks also did those 2 years ago , it all happened overnight 😮 , nobody knows how ??? 😮😮
Any mtb biker knows very well that those micro adjustments can be ruined after a single rocky run 😂
Also adjusting these can be the thing of nightmares 😂
Why I have AXS

I don't understand the exquisite engineering yet it was divine to watch!
It looks easy but when you do it you feel like you want to die but you don't even die🤣

It’s very easy, once you get the hang of it and understand where to look. You can easily index any bike within 2-3 min
You just do it enough so that you can pedal safely to the nearest bike shop 🤣
@@sma4827I literally have no idea what I’m looking at right now. helP
I use a rope attached to my garage roof to lift my bikes....haha
We fully support spending less money on work stands and more money on bikes 🫡
I just lean my bikes against the wall haha!
Good idea. I should have done this before spending money on a bike stand. But it did make it easy to work on.

Josejn thanks for the idea I'll make mine hand cranked winch
Nice video! I enjoyed the lighting and camera movements. Not super instructional, but visually pleasing!
I didn't like the camera work, couldn't tell how smooth it was shifting which defeats the whole point.
Best to disconnect the gear cable to adjust the high limit, so you know it’s resting on the limit screw and it’s not cable tension holding it there.
Yes and know, after rebuilding my ENTIRE bike I've learned those little screws can look perfect while configuring but cycling around the block changes your perspective...
The lifter sound was biblically accurate
That's a damn good groupset, and an even better shift lever
So fuck1ng smooth
yo ive just realized its easy to tune it, thanks
Very cool video!
nicely done.
b screw adjustment should be done while sat on a full suspension bike

You mean the 1st gear or the smaller one?
If it's the 1st one make sure the H screw to adjust so that the derailleur can go further
