I can't wait to be independent so I can transition because for the moment that's just impossible and in my foreseeable future i would be having the body of a man. Thanks Samantha for giving me hope and love when at home all I'm being fed up is hate towards this kind of thing. I wish we could just change sex at will like some fish species, or shapeshift. that would be awesome. but honestly all of these problems are solved just by more societal understanding and acceptance
@@covereddonuts1279 some people think using lube means the girl isn’t aroused or the guy isn’t doing a good enough job. Truth is self lubrication just sometimes doesn’t work well enough and that’s fine! I know birth control has made it a bit harder for me so I’m more than happy to bring out the lube, nothing to do with arousal. No shame in making it more comfortable.
@Natalia Sarmiento ok so by you watching this channel you know what a trans parson is and what that means. a cis person, is literally just a person who identifies as their birth gender. so, i was born a woman and identity as such, making me a cis-woman, as said above
One day. We've had heart transplant surgery for decades. The only reason infertile women, including trans women and also cis women who have had a hysterectomy for endometriosis or whatever, and cis men, can't be made pregnant and carry to term, is because we haven't bothered maturing the technology.
@@tealrose3248 Infertile women do not include trans women. Trans women are men that have transitioned. It's not at all like being a biological woman who can't conceive.
Ivonna Trolue a woman who can't conceive and/or carry to term is infertile. Whether that's because of hormonal or structural issues doesn't really change the outcome. There are plenty of intersex type conditions where an XX woman is born without a functional uterus, and there are XXY women, as well as trans women, and survivors of endometriosis or uterine cancer or whatever. The outcome is a woman who can't have a baby. That's what medicine needs to address.
Totally respect all the points you make, just want to say in regards to the period thing - I understand your perspective and I don’t think anyone should tell a trans woman that they are “lucky” not to get it because they have a different struggle, but also I see a lot of transwomen saying that cis women are “lucky” to get periods and this also comes off as insensitive to cis woman like myself who struggle with horrific period pain, endometriosis and other issues that are always brushed under the mat. I hope we can both stop saying things like this to each other and acknowledge that there are negatives and positives to all situations.
I always figured that 'genital reconstruction surgery' was a better term to use; more descriptive, and 'bottom surgery' sounds like something a proctologist would do.
@Brett Wagland Not really, seeing as a mtf sex change doesn’t actually involve amputating the penis, more like turning it inside out to create a vagina.
Honestly, lube just makes everything better. Using lube isn’t a negative thing at all. Never feel bad for wanting to use lube during sex. This goes for everyone.
Exactly! Who cares if people use lube or not!? Whatever works is a good thing! And why are there SOOOOO many different types of lube, edible lube, etc etc? Because there is a huge demand for it! 😍
@@ladybaabaa3294 Yeah, a demand for it because it's fun to use sometimes. If you need it every time to get wet enough to have sex, something is wrong. Maybe try not fucking nasty guys could help.
I agree. Unfortunately somehow "societal standards/expectations" develop which are really unhealthy for the vast majority of people. Everyone should feel comfortable doing or not doing what is right for them and their partner.
@@ebogar42 how about ladies who hit menopause and have hormone changes, or need to have their ovaries removed as it does the same thing. Some women have more or less vaginal secretions than others. Learn the anatomy and physiology before declaring what is "normal" and lose the judgement. Maybe help educate the guys you feel are "nasty" how to be less so as opposed to blaming women.

Wow the amount of misconceptions I had about bottom surgery, like I had heard almost all of them! Thank you for making videos like these, it is channels like yours and jammidodger that really helped me to understand the trans community and experience better. ❤️
I just heard a girl who had bottom surgery with local anesthesia only and was awake, but drugged, most of the time. I find that crazy for such a surgery.
I also heard about someone from Canada who had a spinal block rendering her bod numb from her waist to her toes. A shield blocked her view of what was going on.
I had the spinal block myself, was out for most of my surgery, but woke up for about the last 15 minutes of my GRS. Couldn't feel anything really but some pressure and no pain at all. There is a screen so can't see anything.(The spinal block lasts for the best part of 2 days) The Surgeons and Nursing at GRS Montreal gave such excellent care and instruction to all of us. They have had many patients from all around the world.
@@JimmiAlli as I said, couldn't see a thing because of the screen across the tummy. I think what woke me up was that my arms were getting sore from being stretched out.
I hate that feeling of being depressed, especially when there really isn't adequate reason to be. We are young, beautiful and have a whole life to live. We can change everything about our selves and yet still be so depressed.... I know what you mean, I'm sorry you are struggling.
You can still experience chronic depression without knowing why you are being depressed that's kind of how it works because when you think about it depression is a chemical imbalance it doesn't care what you do, it will eventually overwelm you.
Kudos for being so open about such personal things. I can’t imagine ever having that much courage. I appreciate the education. Keep doing what you’re doing!
@@connorfernandez1778 the video was about Blaire White and the harmful, often times flat out wrong, rhetoric she spreads... he was talking about the blaire white video about jk Rowling’s new book being “not transphobic at all”, that Samantha debunked and basically said Samantha lux has a good video on it, and she is well researched and uses actual scientific studies to back up her claims, unlike blaire white lol

I wish my ex would have heard that last one. He was always so set on transitioning as if it would fix everything for him. He eventually viewed my pushes to get therapy for his childhood as controlling and unnecessary and stopped going entirely, I think because he convinced himself that the transition was the only issue. I think that to this day he still believes transitioning will stop almost all of the pain and sadness, and it breaks my heart. I hope he's kept up the therapy even after he left, but I unfortunately have no way of knowing. I felt like there was more to it as well, because, as much as he talked about HRT and how much transitioning would change his life, he never took me up on my offers to pay for it. At this point, I hope he's gotten past whatever block that was and has either transitioned or found the other reasons for his unhappiness. And yes, I am properly using his pronouns for those of you who might have thought it was a gay relationship to start. It wasn't. He made me realize gender doesn't matter when he came out to me. I used to be a good, straight Christian. I am now a sinful, pansexual agnostic.
I've been thinking a lot about surgery recently, as I have recently come out as trans, and this really cleared a lot up for me, so truly thank you so much! I really appreciate all the help and info you provide, you truly are an inspiration!
Why am I subscribed to this channel? I assume it is because you are charming. Thank you for putting info out that is intended to help. @Brett Wagland that didn’t really clear anything up, i think you mean that there’s cis gender (identify with assigned gender ) and transgender (dose not identify with assigned gender) but trans women and cis women are both just women? that there isn’t a difference? i was just clarifying that i am not part of the trans community so i can’t speak for those who are..
I've been binge watching your videos for the last few days and 1) we love a queen educating and entertaining 2) you're literally so beautiful i- 3) your intro/outro/background music is chefs kiss
Thanks for making this, I know it’s rude to ask about and embarrassing to talk about but it’s something I’ve always been curious about. I’m really glad the surgery is so comprehensive so trans people can have the parts they need, and it’s pretty amazing how good surgery is now for this to be possible. I also find it funny how most of these myths are things some cis people deal with too. People try so hard to invalidate trans people for not having “fully functional” parts and just end up invalidating cis people who struggle with sexual disfunction in the process lol.

I haven't finished this video yet but when you get the surgery do you get to pick how you look or is it a surprise an you so pretty I'm born a girl an I look like a potato
@@nathaliealvarezz For many people its a combination of both. You can pick a certain vulva appearance as well as the non-visible aspects (ie depth), however sometimes it won't look exactly like the person wants it to because of surgical complications, tissue types, medical mistakes etc. However if you find a reputable doctor you strongly minimize that risk

The def lubrication thing varies between cis women too, just about everything you talked about is true for any woman and not every cis woman even menstruates. I’m only 30 so Jo it’s not menopause and I didn’t have a hysterectomy, but mine naturally stopped about 8 yrs ago. And before it stopped I only got it about 2-3x a yr

Hi Samantha 😄. As a trans woman considering bottom surgery, this was very relevant to me. Thanks for educating your sisters (and everyone else) about these myths. BTW, I LOVE your makeup today. Wow, just amazing. ❤️
Let me just say, THANK YOU! Thank you for sharing something that is rarely spoken about. It takes tremendous amounts of courage and self-assurance to share such a personal experience. Not only are you standing up for yourself and debunking different assumptions about you as a woman, but you are standing up for your LGBTQ family. Always remember that there are thousands of people who support you. Whether we know you personally, or even know OF you, I think we can all agree that you are valid and appreciated. By living your life as the enigmatic woman you are, you are helping make the world a safer place for all transgender people. You have a community of individuals who are here to remind you of your worth and support you on difficult days. I truly admire your bravery, and I know it must have been a difficult thing to share so openly with the rest of the world. Pardon my blatant obscenity, but you are FU*KING AWESOME. :D
In my country of origin, Bulgaria, when we were kids we had a saying: if you pass under the rainbow and come to the other side, you will transition from a girl to a boy and vice versa. We spent so much time running towards the rainbow as we were curious to be of the opposite sex at least for a minute 😂. I’m so happy that you and other people have made it safely to the other side where you belong! 😁 Keep shining and inspiring people! Your light is reaching many of us in so many different ways, not only on gender-specific topics. Your courage and confidence make you a role model for many. And keep busting misconceptions. PS: I’m a cis-woman and I can say: all it takes is a bit of education and a bit of compassion and we can end the suffering of so many people.❤️

This is a great video, very informative. Thank you for sharing your experiences. I know it was a lot for you and was constantly going past the TMI line and your comfort zone. I’m proud of you for doing the video and pushing through with it. It was a lot of very person and intimate things to share openly with the world. As for looking real I know general surgeon who happened to perform surgery on a lady after she had reassignment surgery and his comment was if he hadn’t know from talking with her before surgery he never would have guessed as he was inserting a catheter in her. Life is tough and I really feel for anyone who can’t or doesn't live the way they want to out of shame or concern for safety or are not able to get to a place to where they are more comfortable in life. I wish everyone all the best in having a good life.
Forever grateful to you for talking about this kind of stuff, I have had so many curiosities that are difficult to research online that you have helped me with that, and also you just really make me feel so relaxed as a person who is unsure about my gender :)
hey Samantha! There actually is a uterus surgery! It's originally for cis women who can't get pregnant so they actually can get pregnant. But nowadays they know trans woman can actually do this surgery too. Look it up! It's really REALLY interesting!
After watching this and having my issues and fears with GRS confirmed I'd rather just wait until trans women have the opportunity of receiving a uterus transplant. I wouldn't want a fake one i guess is the best way to put it.
Speaking to the myth that hormones or surgery will/wont cure dysphoria/depression. It’s honestly different for everyone. In my case, I started hormones at 24 and haven’t had any surgeries. I always told myself if I started hormones, I could stop if it didn’t feel right, but so far I’ve never felt the need. I actually realized a few months in that I wasn’t depressed anymore, which is interesting because I hadn’t realized I was depressed in the first place. Another symptom of depression I had go away was forgetfulness. I literally realized one day that I could remember things my partner referenced. Rather than completely forgetting it happened, like with something as major as traveling multiple states over to visit my partner’s family. Note that I have also started an ssri since transitioning which has also helped I’m sure, but it’s safe to say I’m in a muuuch better place mentally after transitioning

if this makes you feel any better, i’m a cis-woman and even i need to use synthetic lube... i have no idea where this stigma came from 🤷♀️
Wait their stigma against using synthetic lube? Why?
@@covereddonuts1279 some people think using lube means the girl isn’t aroused or the guy isn’t doing a good enough job. Truth is self lubrication just sometimes doesn’t work well enough and that’s fine! I know birth control has made it a bit harder for me so I’m more than happy to bring out the lube, nothing to do with arousal. No shame in making it more comfortable.
@Natalia Sarmiento Being cis/cisgender means you identify with your birth sex to put it simply! :0 I hope that helps a little!
@Natalia Sarmiento ok so by you watching this channel you know what a trans parson is and what that means. a cis person, is literally just a person who identifies as their birth gender. so, i was born a woman and identity as such, making me a cis-woman, as said above
@Natalia Sarmiento yep! if you identify with the sex you were born as then you identify as cis :)
We should get 1 dollar for every person who asks if we could get pregnant.
Also, you look bomb cister🔥
How about a dollar for how often people avoid eye contact? That'd be way more lucrative.

Oh that’s a way better term.
Gender confirmation works too.
fyi: There are two terms that are commonly used: SRS "Sex Reasignment Surgery" or GRS "Gender Reasignment Surgery" 🙂
@Brett Wagland Not really, seeing as a mtf sex change doesn’t actually involve amputating the penis, more like turning it inside out to create a vagina.
There's actually no such thing as a "proctologist".

@@patrickchambers5999 Maya Henry? ☺
I had the spinal block myself, was out for most of my surgery, but woke up for about the last 15 minutes of my GRS. Couldn't feel anything really but some pressure and no pain at all. There is a screen so can't see anything.(The spinal block lasts for the best part of 2 days)
The Surgeons and Nursing at GRS Montreal gave such excellent care and instruction to all of us. They have had many patients from all around the world.
I think I would faint if I had to have surgery like that. Last time I went for a blood test I almost passed out.

I’m really glad the surgery is so comprehensive so trans people can have the parts they need, and it’s pretty amazing how good surgery is now for this to be possible.

Wtf no, in that surgery everything can happens, it depends in the genitals before surgery, the doctor, and the experience
