The Eureka Model 1099-A is similar in styling and features as the Model 1100-A Empress that debuted in 1965. Model numbers were not always given in consecutive order, so it's hard to say if the former or latter was manufactured first, or if they were produced concurrently. One difference may have been motor amps (the 1100-A was rated at 7.7 & the peak horse power at 2 1/4). Another may have been the attachment set.
