I have High Functioning Autism, and I've loved vacuums all my life. I work full time, so that has priority. I'll respond to comments and post videos as time allows. Channel rating is PG. UA-cam doesn't have a rule against cussing, so It's not my place to forbid it. I try keep my cussing to a minimum, but I'm not perfect at that. All I ask is that we're all respectful to each other on my channel and please use common sense when commenting. Any spammers there are will be blocked immediately. If you can't do that, there's plenty of other channels out there. Political and religious discussions will not be tolerated here. Once again if you disagree, there are plenty of other channels out there.
Video requests are welcome, but PLEASE try to use some common sense when you make requests. Don't ask for something like "The Dayton commercial wide track vs the Miele c3 canister," because that's just plain silly.

Eureka World Vac Mega Boss Victory series
shout out dem dirt devils
I have one of model 6865's. The one I have is from the 1970's. It belonged to my Mom who was the original owner. Could you please tell me what model belts they use and the bag size.? Thanks.
Eureka type V bags. I'm not sure about the belts though
Nice machine. Could you do another of it and show the nozzle and specs tag up close? I understand it's from the late 1970s.
The power head is running loud because it needs a new belt. The brush isn't spinning properly at all. Those nozzles take a Eureka AR belt. The Power nozzle is proper and they used the same power head on the 6982 D. The color is proper for the unit too.
Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it.
2002. Yes that Power nozzle is original to it since it's a 6982A, it got replaced the 6982A-1 uses the GE power nozzle.
I would have thought that the power nozzle would have been the same blue color as the machine. Yes, it sounds loud
Do you think that warrants any activity?
Imho, yes. Maybe check the belt, make sure the brush is alright, and make sure that the motor isn't loose or slightly out of position, like Orecks do
Hey Mitchell I have an unrelated question, I have a 16" Vibragroomer I brushroll and one of the beater bars are broken and I bought brush strips to replace the beater bars with and I got the end caps off the brushroll and there is a metal plate on both sides of the roller with a notch where you can remove the brush strips but not the beater bars If you have any ideas I would love to hear what you have to say.
I'm not an expert on this, but I THINK the metal plates can be pushed off with a hammer and screwdriver. I apologize that I can't be of more help, but I would recommend speaking to your local vacuum store or joining a Facebook group for vacuum collectors and asking for help there.
@@mitchellarmstrong3759 I tried your advice and it worked I replaced the beater bars and got it back together I have an older sanitaire, an SC699 to be exact its the same as your Dayton Commercial widetrack and the Vibragroomer I in question had metal ends so I'm hoping that by having four row brushes in the vacuum it will balance it out so it doesn't vibrate as much.
@@thomaswilkins8168 Wonderful news. I'm so glad that my idea worked. You could also try replacing the end caps with the smaller ones that take the rubber pieces. That might help with the vibrating.
Do you which bags this uses, bought one at thrift store but no bag information?
Panasonic U bags will work
@@mitchellarmstrong3759 thanks
dieser Kobold heult noch. Aber der geht nie kaputt!
0:28 $200”
What?
Both very nice machines. You can't tell that the 1980 didnt come with that bag. Was is your opinion on the ST set up? Do they really lose that many CFM?
I like the ST setups. I'm not sure about the CFM amount.
Sounds so quiet, just purrs to life, love it
As of today the Fry's Electronics in Renton is gonna become a WinCo Foods grocery store.
Really? I thought it was gonna be apartments. I'll have to do some more research on that.
@mitchellarmstrong3759 there's a news article online that WinCo Foods bought the property, even my dad heard this news from his coworker because my dad's coworker's wife works at WinCo Foods in Kent, WA as a manager and she knows the news of it.
I thought this was one of my videos for a second 😂 you have almost the same carpet as me
This is when dirt devil made quality products
That's the difference between a 6.5 (688) and 7.0 (686) amp motor. The replacement motor you put on the 686 is definitely 7 amp, do a side by side with that black Eureka Precision ESP and you will see
I'm so sorry to hear all of this, all of you are in my thoughts.
That's so sad. I hope she stays well.
stunning. this is going straight into my vintage vacuum collection
The eBay link is in the description of this video
Yikes!!! I don’t expect to see that one running anytime soon. By the way, the 2000 4000 and 6000 lines did come with attachments but on a tiny tool caddy that you attached to the hose.
Much to my surprise, it does run. The power switch is bad, so that's gotta be replaced. Once I refurbish it, it's getting sold.
I think these are vintage Sanitaire
They are. They're both from the 1980's.
I liked that color scheme on these older ones with the green and tan.
I love these older Windtunnels. I have a newer Anniversary SP that I put an older MayTag motor in it, and it honestly sounds much better than the original TTI motor, though I do eventually want to find a real Maytag version one of these days (preferably a Premium).
I love the older windtunnels, too. I put a maytag motor in my commercial one because that type of motor sounds so much more pleasant.
@@mitchellarmstrong3759 The performance on them is honestly no different between the models. I have another Anniversary SP that still has its original TTI motor, and looking at its motor design compared to the Maytag, the Maytag one uses less fan blades (5 to be exact) on the impeller compared to the TTI (which uses 7), but the RPM's of the Maytag motor are a bit faster than the TTI (and both draw 12 amps), I can tell, because the brush roll on the Maytag swapped Anniversary seems to have a faster spinning brush roll than the original TTI.
@@graysonsvacsandmowers5426 Interesting. I never noticed that
Any Singer vacuums? Thanks
I do have a singer hand vac. It's missing the front nozzle piece, so I haven't done anything with it.
we had a vacuum like this back in 1992 or 93 greatest vacuum ever made that vacuum lasted us over 20 years
Nice
I like the shade of blue on the vacuum!
Good vacuum
You should replace the belt ,and then try the performance!
I'll give that a shot.
Well did you notice a difference in the performance?
Awesome demo and informative - thanks! Are the motor specs the same?
I believe so
I need to find one!
The Black one is all kinds of rare. Most of them get tossed because the plastic is so brittle.

The Eureka Model 1279-D/Model 1234 Roto-Matic Power Team was manufactured circa 1980-81 as the Model 1279-A was launched in 1978. Others in the Brandywine and White color scheme at the time were the models 1273 (8.5 amps), 1275 Cordaway, 1289 (11.8 amps-Canadian?), & the 1290 (11.5 amps). Differences besides amps may have been lit or unlit pn, attachment set, & Cordaway or wrap. There were also the same colored canister models (non-PT) & uprights with varying features. Anyway, Dave & Mike gave you an awesome vintage Eureka for your collection! Great upload - thanks!
Belt tensioner
Bissell bought Sanitaire in 2018.
The Eureka Model 1099-A is similar in styling and features as the Model 1100-A Empress that debuted in 1965. Model numbers were not always given in consecutive order, so it's hard to say if the former or latter was manufactured first, or if they were produced concurrently. One difference may have been motor amps (the 1100-A was rated at 7.7 & the peak horse power at 2 1/4). Another may have been the attachment set. In any event, that's a classic Eureka from the seafoam blue canister era of the '60s & early '70s. Congrats on your grad gift & HVAC school graduation & thanks for posting! P.S. An old vac shop tip from back in the day is to dust the cord with talcum powder to aid the Cordaway's performance.
Such an adorable litter cat❤❤❤❤. I would probably pull the cord out just enough to use an extension cord. Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
One of my grandmother's had a similar model to this vacuum cleaner, I believe it was called the Empress 2. Your cat is cute and you did an amazing job!
Eureka’s Ultra Series - 7400-7500 - debuted in 1984 and lasted about 10 years. The Ultra Boss, model-type 7534-A, was marketed from 1991-92. Thanks for the commentary & demo.
Interesting. Thanks for the information.
Does it need a sim card?
Yes. Otherwise, it will boot up, and all the screen will say is "Insert SIM." None of the buttons will work then.
@@mitchellarmstrong3759 ok Thanks for answering my question now to try and find one with a sim card maybe on ebay

@@mitchellarmstrong3759 Oh Nice Thank You
Any idea where I can get a dust filter for a Hoover Max Extract Pressure Pro, Model 60?
I have no idea. I looked online, but I came up empty-handed.
I personally would swap the bag out and use this as a daily driver. It will outclean almost anything made today
I already have 5 machines that are pretty much the same thing, just a bit older. I don't have a lot of luxurious space for vacuum storage either, unfortunately.
Once I get it shined up and I get a new cord and everything, I'm gonna put it on ebay.
That is why I would never use a shake out bag. If this were mine, I would convert it to disposable bags
I'm not a fan of shakeout bags either. I'm keeping this one how it is because I'm gonna be selling it once I'm done refurbishing it.
You should do a video vacuuming some sand or baking soda in the carpet with the yellow eureka the boss commercial
Not gonna happen. Baking soda is not good for the internals of vacuums.
Will sand do the trick for you@@mitchellarmstrong3759
Ive that sound to on my bmw. And im guessing that it is the chain tensioner and that the chain has slipped a tooth because cilinder 6 is somtimes misfiring. And less power from the engine. So maybe thats your case also.
Thats a nice machine, I like the vibrant red.
Could be the accessory belt or belt tensioner going bad
