I'm the last person in the U.S. with only a landline. I am so grateful to not ever drop calls, ever have to go to the Verizon or whatever company to get them to fix my SIM card (whatever that is), I never run out of data (I'm on a computer), I don't have to squint at a tiny screen, I never drop my phone and crack the glass or worry about whose stealing my stuff on free WIFI. I don't even have WIFI. I'm wired. People laugh at me, and tell me I really need to catch up with the modern world. No. I'm fine. They say, "But what if you have a flat tire somewhere and have to call someone?" I tell them there are phones everywhere, and I would just borrow someone else's phone if I had to. You would think I was sitting here with a rotary phone and a phone book. Oh, wait.....

I'm from Ontario with a landline, no cell phone, and a pay as you go flip phone for driving emergencies.

I learned to ignore negative comments a along time ago. If they don’t like something about me, then they can just go somewhere else. 😂😂😂 you are a beautiful person inside and out.
If you have every tab and app open,it will cause lagging and drain the battery on mobile devices.

Yes, do not use WIFi outside of your home. When you leave to go somewhere, turn on Cellular Data. You could actually keep cellular data on together with your WIFI when you’re home. This way when you leave, the WIFI is turned off, and you’re already on cellular data.
Another good reason to keep cellular data on when your home too, is that if you lose internet service, which is the WIFI, you can still access everything via cellular data, such as emails.

My husband is a Apple support rep, not sure what kind of phone you have. But another important thing is a lot of people use that two factor thing and people get new phone numbers and they don’t update their phone number before they get a new phone and that causes problems.
People are so rude! But you're right-laugh at them. They have a sad life with no joy.
I watch your videos quite often because the one thing that you do not do (while everyone else does) is ask me to subscribe, click the notification bell and like your page! And just because you don't ask, I'm going to do it and subscribe (because I won't do it for anyone else!)

Omg..I just lesrned that if you have a late model GM with Onstar BEWARE. It tracks every time the doors open/close..brake quickly..speed up quickly...Then that data is sold to insurance companies. The insurance companies have been known to raise rates as much as 21 % and they do not tell you why!!
This video may be over my head. I’m not very good at technical things at all. I’m lucky I can put a dog on UA-cam video up and even that sometimes it really a struggle, but I will try to watch for a while and see if I can understand what you’re talking about.

I have 4G my husband always sets up my phones and laptop. He is our family nerd. I have a cheap Samsung Galaxy phone (the base model), I don't have issues with it. Some people are rude, no one is perfect! Even if they think they are.

I simply can't get over the nasty comments some people think its perfectly ok to leave!! I've seen them left on other ladies videos as well. I was always taught if i didn't have something nice to say, keep my mouth shut! Sure wish others would follow that advice also!
Hi Dawn! Enjoyed your bonus video. I hate to have to buy new phones. This is my first Android phone, purchased 3-4 years ago. When all the 5G was in the news so much, my carrier sent me a new sim card, free of charge. I also went to the brick and mortar to have it put in my phone...at the latest "deadline" time for 5G requirements. It did change a few things and I had to call as well as return to the brick and mortar once. My last phone was a flip phone that lasted me 10 years! It was a Sanyo...much better than previous phones, but it did cost me more money when I purchased the Sanyo. Personally, I will keep a phone as long as possible, guess I'm a creature of habit. Thanks for telling us about your "tech adventure." 👍

My daughter always blames me for doing something to mess up my phone. I don't do anything to it. She told me just shut the phone down. It will fix the issue. Most of the time it works. What I found hilarious about the jowl comment is the first thing I thought of was The Golden Girls (still watch evernight) One of the ladies, I think Blanche was talking about the 'Loins' it went on a bit... Yeah, if you are gonna use public Wi-Fi always us a VPN. I would never trust public Wi-Fi, but with a reputable VPN app then you're fine.
People hide behind the Internet and feel they can say anything. It's a shame people feel the need to be mean.

I've never had a smartphone. I hate using a cell phone period. We gave up our landline, so I'm stuck with it. It is useful on trips, however. It's hard to believe what some people will post if they can remain anonymous. Not even that, it's really hard for me to believe some people are that mean. Don't feed the trolls. When I have to follow someone like at a doctor's office and I'm not quite keeping up with them I always say I'm waddling as fast as I can. This short fat woman has one speed. Slow. Ugh, I hate the phone! I badly need to look up Phone 101 for Dummies. I can make a call, use text, pick up the voice mail. Period. Wouldn't know if my phone is using Wifi or "data" if I were out with it:(
Hi , don't feel bad about not keeping up with them. They know where they're going, we do not. I go for a physical once a year , and I'm a runner , I just don't want to step on their ankles either. Lol
Does anyone have advice on what to do when your smart phone keeps telling you that you have no more storage left and they want you to download a cleaning app? They say I can download it for free, but then I find out you have to pay a fee to use the app! Are these cleaners worth it? They threaten that my phone will not work if I don’t clean it. How old is the phone? I had that happen and got a new phone. My phone was almost 3 years old. I would take the phone to an expert. I would not download anything.

Hey there also, I think you are in the Dallas area, Conroe, Texas here. Man did we have a major storm last night, know we were in a thunderstorm warning at about 330 this morning. We had lightning and thunder and all kinds of stuff. It lasted until about 630 or something this morning. Also. I ended up getting one of the newer phones this last time and it is one of the new ones where you don’t have to have a Sim card and I am wondering if that could be some of my issues I will ask my husband, but I have to use voiceover for accessibility. Because I am blind. So that could also be some issues, but I have been having a lot of trouble with my phone, not necessarily making calls or anything. Mine is more apps and things.
