I never ever post at night but today was WILD here. Thanks for watching anyways!!
I like it!!!
Thanks either way!!
I was shocked when I saw you posting this late 😂 I was also going through tribe withdraw wondering if it was going to be a break week since you didn’t post earlier but no matter what time I’m glad you did! Hope everything is ok since you said it was crazy there today! Hope to hear about it soon lol
I was surprised! What a nice treat to watch before bed! Love it!
Good to see your post Sarah ❤ Anytime!
Did you change your posting schedule? I have been checking frequently. ❤
$5 is not a bad price for chips. Sarah you do you, don’t worry bout what people say!
I agree. I bought a bag of ruffles to go with an appetizer I made and they where 5.69 for 13 oz! You do you Sara!
Exactly! They obviously haven't shopped lately cause doritos r around $6 n NC.
Agree! I'm from Australia and you can pay $5 for a 170g bag or corn chips these days
The person with the chip issue is unrelatable if they think 5.00 for a big bag of chips is outrages because I don’t know what world they’re living in
Right ? In Cali we pay $5 for the much smaller bag unless it’s on sale .
These people complaining about your $5 chips obviously don’t shop!! Yeah!! I said it! Lays chips at Kroger, where I work, are $5 a bag…. Yes they run a sale but if you don’t read the tag, you won’t get the deal! But you’re buying the good chips, where you can read pronounce all the ingredients!! Y’all eat clean, which will become apparent later in life when the kids grow up and they know the difference in clean and junk!! You Rock, Sarah!!
I was just about to say the same, at the grocery store an 8 oz. bag of Lays is $5
😂😂 at a convenience store it is almost $8 for there regular size bags. We started making our own. 100# of potatoes every month.
Say it louder for the back of the room.
The price of chips where we live in Tulsa is horrible! Small bags are almost $8 per bag, and that's for the name brand😮
I 22:26 @@elizabethbruner2686
OMGosh. You shop so smart, healthy, a few candy’s for kids, etc. There is one shopper on YT (We all know who) who justifies spending $2,000.00 A WEEK. Ignore anyone who says otherwise. When you have time, it would nice to hear and see a house update. Hugs to All. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
If you checked its 2,000 for one months worth of groceries plus she’s got like 10 kids all various ages and growing
If it's a month and why does she say every time weekly grocery haul, midweek grocery haul. We are talking about the DD lady
What channel spends 2000 weekly.I want to vi3w.Thanks
@@RubysSavingsDougherty dozen she's interesting to watch
I get a 30 pound box of blueberries from my daughter in law who works for a local food processing plant. They are HUGE berries. This company processes them for Dole. They are flash frozen, and I then use my food sealer and make up bags with 6 cups of berries and hand them out to our senior neighbors. And the best thing.. is that it's FREE !. ha
How kind of you! And so generous with your time! ❤❤❤
That is FANTASTIC. I know they appreciate it. Unfortunately a lot of Seniors are on such a tight budget, fresh fruit, some veggies & proteins, may not fit into their BUDGET.
BLESS YOU🙏
That's Awesome 👍🏻❤, Go You 🥰❣️
lol the people that are mad you spent $5 on chips don’t understand that those huge family size bags are a deal because the smaller versions at the grocery store cost the same. I think you’re doing a good job choosing better ingredients for your large family!
I love that you aren’t editing out the distractions. Read life that other large families appreciate. We’re not alone!!
Sarah, Costco will give you a new card, just tell them at customer service that you lost your card. You just will have to show your ID. If you are in a hurry and don't want to take pic and all for a new card, tell them you forgot your card. They ask for your ID and will print you a temp card for the day.
Sarah
I LOVE that you're not letting that person get to you! LOVE IT!! You know people put value on so many different things in life so they can afford other things that are more important to them. YES, you may spend $5.99 on a family size bag of chips. But she may be spending $60 on a Jeffery Star Eye shadow Palette, or not buying TOP TIER GASOLINE like some that you might not NEVER EVER would. So people who even have the kahunas to remark on those things just shock me! They can't be so ignorant to realize that. Right?? I mean you've stated so many times all the years you weren't able to afford Healthier foods. But now because of learning different ways. Budgeting, and of course WORKING YOUR WAY TO BECOMING more financially secure, you can!!!
That old saying..... people who live in glass houses...... You know what I mean. It just really irritates me because NO ONE KNOWS what really goes on in anyone else's home OR BUDGET!!! LOL!!!
Love you guys!!!
Sarah, you aren't unrelatable. It's easy to relate to how you do things. Every family has to do things that work for their own needs. I love to watch your videos. 😊
You can pop in baggies and freeze the blueberries just as is. Do not rinse before freezing. I thaw for smoothies, pancakes or in blueberry tea bread. They grow wild near me and I’m able to pick gallons worth for free!!
I rinse and dry mine before freezing
We have blue berry bushes , I wash and then put out on towel and dry, put in bag and freeze and then easy to eat. Mine has a lot of trash on them, part of the bush and the top of berry.
Can I ask you why you would not wash the berries BEFORE freezing
@@PENPAL555 If you wash them before you freeze them they tend to get soggy or mushy. Even if you dry them off it doesn’t take all the moisture away. When I pull them out of the freezer I put them in a colander and rinse them off and thaw them at the same time. Just my own personal experience. Especially with the wild native Maine blueberries.
@@missymyers7043
Ok, thanks for sharing. I guess have never had blueberries from Maine, bc that has not been my experience, good to know though 👍.
I really admire you, Sarah. You work really hard to plan and purchase healthy meals and snacks for you and your family.❤
Healthy is the best haha
I’m so blessed my yard is surrounded by avocado, mango and breadfruit trees here in Puerto Rico 🙏
For those who think the Late July Tortilla Chips cost too much, Doritos cost the same amount at Walmart. Gosh, I am 57 years old, and I have never had children. I am in awe of how she does it all. From a husband to a baby still in diapers, homeschools her kids, has a You Tube channel, cooks every day three times a day from scratch, active in church, has cows, chickens, land, building a house, has parents on the other side of the country, in law on the other side of the world. Her family is healthy happy and thriving, I don't think she is bothered about the relatability of a tortilla chip.
Hey Sarah… I live in Berry country in British Columbia. Blueberries are the absolute easiest berry to process.
I like to wash mine before freezing, but some people don’t even do that. You do not have to poke a hole in them. When you freeze them, it burst the skin, so it perforates it. Then you can dehydrate them straight from frozen… If you’d like to have them on hand for muffins in the winter, you can simmer blueberries for about 20 minutes or so add a splash of lemon and some cinnamon and you have blueberry sauce. You can can it or eat it on pancakes, yogurt, lemon loaf, or anything else. If you don’t have time, you can simply wash the blueberries and pack them into jars andcan them. Add a splash of lemon and a little cinnamon if you want. Blueberries can be water bath canned so you do not have to pressure can them.
That’s probably more than you wanted to know, but I did want you to know how easy they are to process. So the kids can even prepare them for the freezer or pack them in jars for water bathing. Enjoy those blueberries!
Blueberries are 1 of the easiest foods to preserve. I simply put them in freezer bags and freeze. It makes an amazing, cold, snack, on a hot summer day! Almost as good as candy 😄
I live in North Carolina and a family size bag of any chip is $5.99 or higher. The irony is that there aren’t that many chips in the over priced bag. If we have company for a cookout I purchase at least 3 bags of chips. There are never any left! You do such a great job on your budget Sarah. There will always be naysayers! Ninety nine percent of us think you’re perfect!!! Thank you for sharing!
You’re doing amazing !!!!!! I just returned from living in Waikiki Hawaii for 13 months and the prices of food ie chips is a WHOLE lot MORE there than what someone(s) was being negative towards you about ! How you choose to spend the money that God gives you is up to you and we all could learn from you for sure ! Growing in Grace, Deborah in Florida ❤❤❤❤❤
Deborah welcome to Florida!!

I think the complainers forget that cook almost 100% of three meals plus snacks EVERY day! I admire your quest for good food balanced by cost for 13 people! Every day! I’m a household of one, and I don’t cook like you do. Please don’t let those comments get in your head ! Blessings! ❤❤
I used to freeze blueberries, put on tray then package them up. Used them in blueberries muffins or loaf bread.
Frozen blueberries and frozen sliced peaches mixed together while frozen. Great on the table, especially in a glass bowl. Set them out early and they thaw beautifully.
I used to do that but now I just band them on the counter and they break apart really well.
I totally understand that food prices have gone up all over the world! I am from the UK, and they definitely went up a fair bit here. I also understand that some people struggle more than others, but at the end of the day, I wouldn't be getting mad at what others are doing with THEIR MONEY! To be honest, you are trying to project your feelings or situations on to them. Doesn't mean this lady isn't relatable!
When you buy avocados, pop them into a container of water. They stop the process of aging. Not even sure how it works, but it does 🙌🏽
Sarah, I literally watch your channel and am a 54 year old single woman who only had one child who is grown, married and has my two adorable grandchildren! We live two different lives and I still find you so enjoyable AND relatable!!! I love good quality food and the Lord! Keep up being you!
Me too. Married stay at home

The closeness, the respect, the fun, the love. Just radiates.
I so love your grocery hauls! Your channel was one of the first channels I subscribed to . Destiny was a small baby back then. Watching the children grow and seeing all the adventures and amazing life events has truly been a blessing. You're doing an amazing job! God bless you all.
One of my kids loved eating frozen blueberries straight out of the freezer. I would buy them when in season, wash, dry and flash freeze on cookie sheets before bagging up in freezer zip top bags. He could have a bowl of frozen blueberries year round that way. The quality of them when frozen and fully thawed is not great, but having frozen blueberries on hand was also great for smoothies or baking blueberry muffins, coffee cakes, etc.
It makes sense that your grocery budget has gone up for a couple of reasons: grocery prices are going up around the world, not just the US. My friends in Canada and Europe are paying way more than we are. Also, as your kids are getting older, they are eating more. Even with two of them living away right now, you're feeding more teens and young adults than you used to, so the food doesn't go as far. You're doing a fabulous job of feeding them quality foods that keep them filled longer, though.
Thousand Hills is so good!! Beautiful haul! We shop weekly for our fam of 13, but I think it’s fantastic you go once a month! That bag of mangoes! Haha! I need to find those at Azure! I'm so happy for you and your family; you must be excited to travel and see family in Kenya. What a blessing❤️
I absolutely positively believe that you are an amazing cook, and you all eat healthier than anyone else on the internet!!!!!!!!!
Anyone complaining about your hauls have absolutely no idea what they are talking about!!!!!
You Rock Sarah!!!!!!!
I just wash the blueberries and put them on a parchment paper lined sheet tray in one layer, and freeze it, then put it in gallon Ziploc bags. I like it as a frozen snack in a bowl with milk poured over them (the milk freezes and it is so good!), or smoothies, or in breads and pancakes and compotes.
A 170 g (6 oz) bag of Doritos is $3 in Australia and s family sized bag is $9… crazy!
Sarah, I have watched you for years and loved following your parenting journey. I have watched you move to simpler foods, to more “make from scratch” menus, it has all been delightful.
We all have seasons in our lives, you are down to earth, the love for your family shines through.
Let the haters hate! Those that admire you are here in droves ❤
Sarah, so proud of you for ditching the Diet Coke this month. We used to spend ALOT of money on bottled drinks. We now buy Celestial Seasonings fruit flavored Tea Bags. I brew about 10-12 teabags in a Dutch oven. After cooling and squeezing out the bags, we get a gallon of iced tea. Also I only use a half cup of sugar for the whole gallon. It’s delicious and healthier than the bottled drinks.
That's a great idea! I'm going to have to try that for my kids.
I'm curious to try this, can I ask what your favourite flavors are?
@@robynhayward Of course. We like he Red Raspberry, Mixed Berry, Blueberry, Peach, and Lemon. Sometimes I mix certain flavors together. Ex. Peach/Raspberry. Aka Peach Melba.
@@johannagarcelon9240 awesome I'll try some, thanks 😊
@@robynhayward Robyn, I also like to add some Newman’s Limeade to the glass of tea.❤️❤️❤️
Costco also has business stores that specifically supply commercial endeavors but any Costco members can use them. I have found good for many things in larger sizes that regular Costco does not carry, example- boxes of very wide lasagna noodles and nacho chips . Also, ramen noodles are easy to make if you have a pasta machine, the nests of noodles freeze very well and are handy if you discard the flavor packs anyway.
For the blueberries- Freeze on sheet trays in single layers then put in ziplock bags... prevents then from mushing together into 1 big brick... You can eat them frozen or in baked goods etc. (Same for grapes!)
A quick bang on the counter breaks apart really well
$5 per bag of chips makes you unrelatable? Someone needs to price out doritos, lol. Chips are expensive, all of them!
Such a nice treat to end the day with a video. It helped end a cruddy day on a high note!
Caught you just in time for relax time ❤❤❤
So happy to have your channel !!
God bless you all 🙌🏽🤍🪽
I feel the same way 😊❤
I have 5 boys! So pretty big family. Soo I love these lol there’s a view things you have gotten me to throw into my meal rotations
Sarah you cracked me up with the chip thing! You have a fantastic family!! Totally relatable!!
Today was a long day for our family of 6. This overstimulated mom was so excited to see your new video drop. I clicked immediately! Your videos always make my day better ❤
I had a blueberry orchard in South Carolina with lots and lots of berries. I picked and sometimes I rinsed them and sometimes I just picked and froze them. I used freezer bags. When I took them out to use they were just like I had picked them. We had gardens and I froze and canned everything I could. I loved canned fresh string beans they were the best. I miss that life.
Great haul. I think you do an amazing job taking care of those sweet babies. Love your sweet family.
Thank you Sarah for showing your food ❤
U do a great job on your grocery hauls Sarah.
You did it! I’m so inspired by you & your family! Blessing to each of you 🩷

You truly are the greatest mom ever❤and so encouraging to me to follow better and more.

Sarah, you're amazing!
Love your realism 💜
I've been watching you for a couple years now and with what I've gathered from how you like to feed your family Costco hands down has the quality ingredients and products you want over Sams - and for reference I also have both memberships.
I freeze blueberries and just put them in freezer bag and in freezer.
The way I preserve blueberries is by washing them, dry somewhat on paper towels, then freezing them in a single layer on cookie sheets. I then put them in freezer bags - ready to eat or cook with. They last a very long time in the freezer. We make smoothies with a lot of frozen fruit.
Sarah, I just wash the blueberries, let them air dry and place in a freezer bag. I bring them out when I want some in a smoothie, waffles or pancakes. 😋
That bag of chips is 7.99 here on the remote Pacific coast where I live. I love how you manage your family and the excitement in your life!
Hi Sarah, the Ramen is wonderful!!!!
I want to say that I love the Tribe of Many content! I personally have learned and added so much from this channel to my life. People can sometimes be mean for no reason. The rest of your viewers love you and your family!
I freeze my blueberries on a tray and then transfer to ziplock bags. No poking or anything special. We love using them in pancakes. Just add them frozen. They thaw while cooking
Your grocery hauls are my favorites!!!
For the blueberries- just spread them out on a cookie tray and pop them in the freezer to flash freeze. Package in vacuum seal or gallon freezer bags, and done!
You’re my favorite you tuber!!! Love all your family. Blessings
Poking the hole or cutting the skin on blueberries is only for freeze drying! They freeze really well without needing to do anything :)
I recently got a freeze dryer and love it so much...!
I love your grocery hauls. I'm always learning about new foods from you. I think you and your family are eating healthier than most.
You do a great job with your food choicest
Always a delight to spend time with you and family. The salt and the lightm a blessing you are to my day love and blessings to all!
Your Family is perfectly balanced… not too anything and not lacking anything… you were quite entertaining in this video thanks for the chuckles…you reminded me of the comedic side of your Mom and Dad ❤
You are AMAZING Sarah!! You are doing an AWESOME job feeding your family good foods with some added fun here and there 😊!!
Yay!!
I was wondering about the azure standard products. I see a lot of people get stuff from them. I also was curious about if and what items were best from them versus the store. You covered a lot of those answers for me. Thanks 😊 I also feel the need to say that what products you do or don’t feed your family shouldn’t matter to anyone else!! Thank you for sharing. ❤
The five dollar chips/5.99 was hilarious!!! This just shows that God created people differently and uniquely. I pray for those unique people to be understanding that some people like chips that cost more or less then they do. :)
I love your food haul videos Sarah! I can’t criticize your hauls. Everyone should have a good treat and try different things. 💕By buying in bulk and organic when you can you are saving too. I have found that gardening and preserving my food is a great way to get good quality foods as I know how it was grown which is the organic process. Not sure if you have considered getting a freeze dryer but that is so handy to preserve fruit and vegetables and easily rehydrated. Also the veggies even taste yummy without rehydrating as a snack! You are truly a busy lady and I’m keeping you and your family in my prayers! ❤
Your groceries budgeting and prices are great! Thanks for the Azure recs. ;)
On the you tube channel the cross legacy she states storing your avocado with your lemons keeps both fresher longer. I freeze blueberries for use in smoothies, sauces, muffins, pancakes. To keep fresh longer in fridge I store in a mason jar w/lid and they’ll keep for up to a month
My philosophy is I try to eat as close to “real” as possible the majority of the time. That also doesn’t mean I won’t eat fast food once in a while. I do raise the vast majority of my vegetables and can them and we also butcher our own pork and cure our own bacon, sausages and hams. That helps the budget and also helps in knowing what goes into the majority of our food.
Sarah, You feed your family great. I’m not a purest in our house either but we eat less junk than ever before. We have also been bulk shopping. Makes a huge difference.
I’m my opinion, I aim for the sweet spot of Costco, Azure, etc. we also have purchased a cow. Having meat already in the freezer really, really helps with the grocery hauls. Plus, tastes better and better than at the grocery store.
And yes, Sarah, my dear you are 109% relatable!
I bought 10 pounds of blueberries as a single gal. I washed mine and picked out any that looked questionable. I let them dry flat and then put them on a rimmed baking sheet and tossed in the freezer and then put in freezer bags... no problem, lasted for a year before I ate them all.
You can wash and dry the blueberries then freeze. They make a good smoothie. You can add to muffin mix and use any way
Those Azure Standard blueberries look delicious! I buy the A2 yogurt at COSTCO, which is so creamy and delicious. I put fresh blueberries and my homemade granola on it and it makes a wonderful breakfast. I sometimes even put a few chocolate chips in with the blueberries and granola. It takes the yogurt over the top! I do freeze my blueberries quite often. I just put them in the freezer, unwashed, and wash them before eating. The water helps to thaw them quickly. You feed your family very well with healthy choices, Sarah. I applaud you for coming up with fun meal plans for your large family. Keep up the great work!
Love your grocerie hauls
I find you very relatable ♥️. No one person can relate to everyone in everything :). Which I know you know. Keep sharing your life with the right heart and intention and the Lord will keep blessing it ♥️
Good shopping haul Sarah , you feed the children wonderfully on your budget ❤kids needs snacks and the chips are healthy 😀
Your grocery hauls are my favorite !!! All your fresh fruit looks so good.I bought 2 Navel Oranges at .98 cents the other day !!! YIKES !!! YOu are a great Mama and a very very smart shopper..Love you guys !!! ❤❤❤
Blueberries - no need to poke a hole if you freeze. I love to can them in light syrup as well and I put it on my yogurt and granola... so so good!!
Hi from Chihuahua, Mexico! We are missionaries here, but my mom is in Missouri and has a blueberry bush that is particularly prolific. She freezes them all the time. The only thing she does is wash them, dry them, and bag them up to pop in the freezer. I have done that with ones I bought when we were leaving on a trip. It works great.
Becky on Acre homestead bought a bunch of lemons and juiced them and dehydrated the zest of lemon too 😊 love your family and your videos ❤❤❤
I have frozen blueberries several times! I don’t poke a hole in them. I usually just pop them on a tray to let them freeze then put them in a bag once frozen (this method helps them not stick together in the bag). Sometimes I cover them in yogurt and put them on a tray, freeze them, then break it up to put in a bag. My kids love eating them frozen both ways! I also use them for smoothies and overnight oats.
In bed fighting a stomach bug, and yet I’m smiling while watching you guys! Thanks for sharing!
Fantastic video!!!
I find you relatable because of the chips! It is all about balance!
This one was CHAOTIC 😅 I love it lol. This is what it's like when I get home with groceries. Bless your sweet fam ❤
Haha real life!!
Blueberries freeze great place on a single layer when frozen place in ziplock bags, great for muffins. Pancakes. You can make syrup with sugar.
I think you do an amazing job with you food choices, your children eat well and are healthy. If your too strict the childten will loose control when they ate away from home or making their own choices. They fully understand you eat well and then you can have a small snack or treat occasionally. Brava Solo and Sarah. 👏👏👏👏👏👏
