  • A good friend recently purchased this pistol and offered me the opportunity to do a video on it. We briefly go over the overt features such as the ambidextrous safety, generous beavertail, accessory rail, Novak cut sights, and commander style hammer before digging under the hood with a full detail strip.
Some things are pretty nice for a budget-conscious 1911, while in other areas you can see certain sacrifices were made in favor of economy production.
I was impressed that a steel mainspring housing was used. Overall quality seems quite good with a few minor deficiencies in machining quality, and some internal parts with a poor finish.
My biggest complaint is lack of a preservative coating of oil, particularly on surfaces the typical user would never encounter during routine cleaning and maintenance.
