I always thought of them as a Bruce Willis lite. Star but you can't get them for a role so you find these someone who's almost like that person pizza roll? So we can't get Bruce Willis and you're looking for somebody who's like who looks and acts in can pull off the same stuff Willis does Jerry you always seem to be that guy for me I could see him in a lot of the same roles Bruce Willis did

So many lost from this most memorable series, the best Sci-Fi ever produced:
Richard Biggs (Dr. Stephen Franklin) 2004
    Tim Choate (Zathras) 2004
    Andreas Katsulas (G;Kar) 2006
    Jeff Conaway (Zack Allen) 2011
    Michael O'Hare (Commander Sinclair) 2012
    Robin Sachs (Na'Tok) 2013
    Jerry Doyle (Garibaldi) 2016
    Stephen Furst (Vir Cotto) 2017
    Thank you for the memories.
    “Babylon 5: Objects in
    Motion (#5.20)” (1998)
“We are all the sum of our tears. Too little and the ground is not fertile,
and nothing can grow there. Too much, the best of us is washed away. “
“I believe that when we leave a place, part of it goes with us and part
of us remains. Go anywhere in the station when it is quiet, and just listen.
After a while, you will hear the echoes of all our conversations, every thought
and word we’ve exchanged. Long after we are gone, our voices will linger in
these walls for as long as this place remains. But I will admit that the part
of me that is going will very much miss the part of you that is staying.”
“All my life I have been responsible only for myself. When I risked, I
risked alone to avoid making others pay the price for my mistakes. They want me
to show them another way. What if I show them the wrong way? What if they come to
me not because of the lesson but because of the teacher? I worry, Ta’Lon, that my shadow may become greater than the message.”
“But we can’t be free, until we learn to laugh at ourselves. Once you look
in the mirror and see just how foolish we can be, laughter is inevitable. And
    from laughter comes wisdom.”
    ~G'Kar

Holy crap, I had no idea that many people from B5 had passed away. I just found out about Jerry Dole the other day, but had no idea that Stephen Furst has died. Actually, I thought that Peter Jurasik was dead too. I was so happy to discover I was wrong and then I found out about Jerry, Stephen, and Richard. So tragic.

And I try to remember what Ivanova said at the end of Sleeping In Light about what Babylon 5 taught her...

Tragic. Like a small needle to the heart as a new scene with a lost cast member appears on screen. Far too many of them are gone. I remember seeing them all together with JMS in Blackpool in 1997, full of life. Those were the days of our lives! Make Moments of Magic people. It can, and will, one day end in an instant.

Jerry Doyle aka Mr Garibaldi for me one of the characters I admired so much due to his story in the show about losing people due to being an alcoholic in his past and trying each day to overcome it and finally doing so which made him more human than anyone else in my favourite sci fi series. Wow so sad... I had no idea until i just chanced on this now. Garibaldi was such an in-depth character. So flawed with everyday human failings which is unusual for television sci-fi. Ever seen a divorced alcoholic struggle with his demons on Star Trek. No Earl Grey tea in Garibaldi's quarters-just a fifth of whiskey hidden behind the sofa. Great snippet from Comic Con. Jerry died loving life. It sounds tragic but is actually the far far best way to go .I'm not sure whats out there over the rim Jerry but i hope its full of sunrises for you.

And imo so was jerry doyle. the man. not the actor. the one scene where its a flash forward of what if? hes battling to save b5 as its being invaded. And he has a gatling plasma cannon. And he says thats what his life was meant for. What he was born for. Taking down loads of shadows. During my darkest days of depression and unemployment. I watched this show. And i thank its actors for the time of my life.

I didn't know Jerry was dealing with health issues. Jerry was the best. I don't know how they cast that show so perfectly well. My prayers goes out to Jerry's family.

Each person who played a character in Babylon 5 is such a huge part of my soul. I re-watch the whole series every 15 to 20 years. It hurts so much to lose them, but they will live on in one way forever, as a part of those whose souls they still inhabit. As long as the stories and lessons of this amazing series continue, they will never be forgotten. R.I.P to all those, we have lost, and those yet to go. You are loved and will be missed, so don't hurry to the other side. Make the most of each day here with your family on planet Earth. The other side will be there when you need it. If you love this show as much as I do, you are part of my family. Long May This Family Live.

Rest in peace Jerry. One of the handful of actors that were in all babylon 5 series, who's character went from one extreme to the other. Fantastic actor, and remembered fondly. Thank you for giving us your talent.

I'm sad to admit that I did not know that Jerry had passed.
I always wanted Jerry and Bruce Willis to play brothers in a movie.
We'll I guess that's another wish that will never see the light.
May you be at peace Jerry.
You will live on with B5!

Michael did a great job writing the character, and Jerry did a superb job of bringing him to life. A kind of every man's man. Not a week goes by that I don't miss his voice, his humor, his invectives, his humanity. And Andreas, and Richard, and Jeff, and Tim Choate.

" I believe that when we leave a place a part of it goes with us and part of us remains. Go anywhere in these halls, when it is quiet and just listen. After a while you will hear the echoes of all of our conversations, every thought and word we’ve exchanged. Long after we are gone, our voices will linger in these walls for as long as this place remains." G'Quan bless your name you will be remembered forever Jerry Doyle

Jerry as Michael had so many kick ass moments and scenes in B5, I could rattle them off forever. What a great guy. Two of my absolute favourite Garibaldi scenes were when he went up against the all mighty post office to get the ingredients for his unhealthy meal, and another time when even a simulation of him gets the better of a future nazi, when he warns the good guys of an impending sneak attack.
    RIP Jerry Doyle.
