Well here I am 54 years old and sobbing over Mira’s passing again, only she could portray an alien leader with more humanity than all of our actual leaders combined show today.
Those who have gone through a dissolution of a place you believed was your home, and a moral backsliding from a society that was multiethnic and accepting of human diversity, toward one where tribalism emerges and people are sniped down like dogs, always have a broken heart and a part of them dies in the war even when they survive. The other part of the soul forever mourns the madness. It was easy for her to cry because she was crying inside already. Now she has peace.
This is the most moving line she spoke.... I wrote a song based on that phrase 🌈❤️❤️❤️ Mira, you gave me the strength to come out as bisexual when I was 19, because I hought you were beautiful and I still do. All life is transitory..... I will see you again Mira, in a place where no shadows fall 🌈❤️

Babylon 5 got me through some rough times when I was much younger, Mira Furlan/Delenn always felt like to a teacher, a big sister, always determined, never afraid to face her problems head-on, was honest, firm, fair, and compassionate. I will miss her so much, Thank you for this video.

Too many, gone too soon. It's heartbreaking as a fan, who talked to her all of five minutes at a convention once. I can only imagine what it feels like as a friend to lose that light in your life. My heart goes out to all of you who knew her.
This was a touching tribute to an actress who played an almost mythical character. I was lucky to meet some of the cast during one of the Comi-Cons, but I never met Mira. RIP to a bright soul, and we know that she has gone to become part of a new star in the heavens, indeed, star-stuff.
Part of it is that the characters in B5 were given flaws that seemed realistic. Too many shows have characters overcoming flaws almost casually as a demonstrating how great they are. Add in some of the quirky humour "no boom" - "no boom today, boom tomorrow". : "the aliens understand our language they just refuse to use it.". - "who knew they were French?!"
Interesiting is what I have read about her. When she and her husband still had liverd and worked as Stage and movie artists and producers in Jugoslavia Mira Faro had made a clear stand to keep up that Nation. In fact she and her husband had moved to the States because of the hatred that had been pulled from all those fanatic Naitonalists even threteninng to kill the couple. As much as the sentiments shared resonate within me, I am comforted by everyone here. I had always wanted to meet the cast, see them together. With each year that passes, I see that dream corrupted as one more star fall. May Furlan travel safely to the place that sees no shadow.
This was a shock. I hadn't known about the passing of Mira Furlan until this morning. Apart from the fact that I still watch Babylon 5, the series and the films, it will be difficult watching episodes from now on.
Just hearing if this now, just as much a shock. Considering how many times I’ve burned through the series just since ‘Rona hit, finishing it yet again for the umpteenth time two weeks ago. I started that run and wondered at my the time what she was up to now, but didn’t get around to looking until last night. Been up all night, going through each comment here. And let me tell you: you are not alone.
I as well sister; I consider us all united in the grief & sympathy expressed by most here. I’m am comforted to find that this show still has such a following after all these years. I’ve been missing everyone who ever appeared on the series, ever since the final episode aired. But there’s always opportunities for new beginnings. Even for those who resonate the feelings you’ve shared with us, thank you for doing so.
She went to that place where no shadows fall. We’ll miss her bright eyes and her open smile that reflected the stardust we are...and a tad beyond that. She will be remembered, go in peace to what follows next.
I have no words.. just tears, and listening to her voice has always captivates me.. the world loved her and her insight, and she with all her soul returned such love for all to feel and understand.. she is such stuff and more. I'm going to miss her dearly.
Are you kidding? Tears? She was just some person who played a character on tv. The world doesn’t care, stop acting like she was someone important. Stop dumping your purse on line. Do you know how that makes you look?
@@12floz67 You are the only person in these comments to badmouth the dead. I would tell you to have a little respect, but I suspect you're a Russian troll, cackling with glee. You ask, where's the proof that she made the world a better place? Who knows what she was really like? Her family and close friends knew her. She showed kindness to people she didn't know, and that's not fake. True, acting is pretending, but the personality of the actor shines through the act and affects those who are willing and able to see it. You consider her death to be unimportant -- what of yours? It's too bad we can't all be conscious for a day after we die to see how we have affected others for good or ill. I saw her two years ago at a convention in PA and she practically looked the same since her Babylon 5 series run a very remarkable lady who made the sci-fi genre all the more wondrous and now sadder knowing we will never see her talent live ever again. May she become in the next life the Minbari she portrayed in this forever great series. RIP Mira Furlan! : D
My heart is breaking. I still can't believe she is gone! You have created a wonderful memorial. There are so many lines of dialogue that resonate deeply today. Thank you so very much.
I find you all a comfort, only learning of this now, today. Everybody’s acclamation of this amazing actress move me as Furlan’s character, the rest of the cast, and really, the whole entire beautiful show. Thank you for your words.
The wisdom and kindness this woman passed on to all of us fans we won't forget. This one just hurts. She impacted all of us, positively and the damn b5 curse strikes again. Thanks Mira, you helped us all with your wise words and how well you told your stories with class and grace. We will miss you.
Dear Hearts: this is a beautiful tribute to an actor who portrayed Delenn as someone I would have loved to have called friend, teacher, sister...family. Mira Furlan was beautiful inside and outside....and now she is a Star in the night sky....All Love
A fitting tribute sister. We are united in our expressions of grief & loss. Just learn of this now. Very touched to find you all gathered here, and your words. Thank you for sharing.
Its been one year since Mira died. Today is April 21 2022. I happened upon this tribute video. My praise to the creator. A fine tribute video to her. She was a fine actor and played the part of Delen fantastically. The entire cast did great jobs. I was curious how many cast members have died so I paused the video and checked. I assumed if was 7. But to my shock over 80 cast members, writers and directors and crew have died who participated in producing this wonderful show. It was sad scrolling down what seemed an endless list of people who were on Babylon 5. Counting them off one by one hoping it would end soon. Just sad. But to leave on a positive note finishing the video, Mira speaking of her appreciation of being on this show for five years and the friends she made along the way put a smile on my face. A nice touch to this tribute video by the creator. Let us be joyful of her and all those who helped make this show a success. And remember the happy times we spent with\watching our favourite characters and actors. Rest in peace Mira\Delen. You will be missed but not forgotten. And your spirit lives on through your work on screen and of course your family.
I'm 55 and this is my favorite show of all time. It surpassed Star Trek a long time ago. Delenn was one of my favorite characters out of any show whatsoever. So much so that I named my favorite Rottweilers, who was extremely dominant and would back any dog down with one look from when she was a puppy. It was the most loving and loyal animal I've ever known next to a couple of my cats LOL. Now I've lost both the Delenn's. The actress was a beautiful lady. And I pray she's in presence of father, receiving all the love that she deserves. Basking in his glory for soon we will all see her again
This isn’t about me, hope it doesn’t become a thing; but at 40 my bags are packed, I’m at the station, just waiting for boarding call. I’m not exactly chomping at the bit to get going. It’s just saying, I echo your sentiments, even though I might well get a chance to final meet her sooner than most. Haven’t left yet. Just here telling you, you are not alone. Let toast to absent friends. 🥂
She was truly, an amazing woman.. The way she carried herself, her gental, yet powerful voice, inspired you to achieve goals, that you otherwise, might've given up on.... I know I will miss her, not just as an actor but, " ONE OF THE BRIGHTIST IN THE UNIVERSE " !!!! R.I.P., Wonderful soul - Gernard Howell
I was 11 when this show first aired.. I think it toke two years to reached Denmark at which point I was 13, and I fell in love with the show in a way I have no other. I still to this day almost yearly rewatch it.. And it breaks my heart when I think about all these great people that have and gone beyond the Rim were no shadow falls. It was a show that while the graphical side haven't aged well the story and the crew still can catch our hearts and our minds. Thank you Mira Furlan for being our Dylen and now rest well.
I'm sadden to hear about the death of Mira Furlan. She was such a talented actress and brought depth to er portrayal of "Deleen." R.I.P. Mira. We Will Always Remember You! ❤ ❤❤❤❤❤❤
This video had me in tears. Another of my childhood icons is gone. Mira will be dearly missed & and always in my heart. Thanks for this wonderful tribute and thank you, Mira for playing a character that meant and means still so much to me. To absent friends, in memory still bright!
This was, by far, THE best tribute video I've ever watched on UA-cam. I don't have the words to describe just how powerfully moving this was to me. Each video clip was lovingly chosen to highlight the best of what Mira brought to the character of Delenn. Simply exquisite.
Oh no such a sad news. She was truly inspirational actress, intelligent, kind, thoughtful and also powerful. Beautiful smile of Mira and her kindness will never be forgotten. RIP
Each passing year sees the cast one step closer to being reunited. Just not the way any of us would have hoped. I’ve missed them all since the last episode aired. Before that even, since learning the series was ending (to be honest). May they all have travelled or will travel safely to the place that knows no shadow. But I find it a comfort to see so many here, now, gathered together over a talented actress, who played a character that was only a part of the amazing tapestry of this beautiful show. I’ve found a good community here. Thank you for sharing.

A beautiful and touching tribute ❤️ Mira joins her friends from Babylon 5, so many of whom we have lost. Such a special and unique show. Mira showed us so many sides to Delenn, a remarkable character, perfectly cast.
R.I.P. Mira Furlan Watched the TV show when I was 4-6 years old. Now I'm 29, almost 30, and now I understand how great of a cast that was. I hope Mira Furlan, Andreas Katsulas, Michael O'Harra, Jerry Doyl, Jeff Conaway, Richard Bigs, Stephen Furst are at peace and when others will join you - so will they be at peace in a place where no shadow falls 💫 Babylon 5 is one of the best TV shows ever made, it is a miracle, every journal and critic said the TV show would die but it still lives in our hearts and managed to get the entire arc plot, though Michael Straczynski said they had to tighten up the main arc to finish the show faster, too bad, I wish to see someday Neural Network continuation of the show with our most favorite actors. Thank you for everything Mira, thank you for great childhood memories, your amazing smile, thank you all for being there for Babylon 5 when you were needed the most! I hope we will all see you someday, happy and in great spirit beyond the stars, hope I will see them all someday Thank you guys, I thank everyone who is reading the comment and everyone who was responsible for Babylon 5, even haters. YOU ARE ALL AWESOME ❤🔥 Sincerely yours Archibald
I was already crying while this tribute was playing for Mira, God rest her soul. Once they started showing the others in the cast we've lost (far too many), I was utterly bawling my eyes out. So much incredible talent in this epic saga, and such a great loss to the acting profession, as a whole. We are ALL diminished by these losses. May "every, every, every, and each one" of their souls find peace.
Mira Furlan was a special person, the way she played her roll as Delenn on Babylon 5 was truly moving. Ihaving never met her I’m surprised how much sorrow I feel for her passing. God bless her soul.
So sad to see this ! I enjoyed seeing her in both “Babylon5” and “Lost”, such a dynamic performer in the characters in those shows she portrayed! Will be missed!
My heart aches with the loss of such a powerful actress. And kind soul 😌. I only hope and pray that you found a heaven that is made for souls kind as yours. Rest in peace.
That was astounding and prophetic as if she knew those lines might serve in another context. Goodbye will have to do Mira and yes my Delenn, the word will have to do until we all meet again..
That was less Furlan & more Straczynski. Wouldn’t surprise me if the whole show based bases on those seemingly simple ideas she spoke, ultimately gave power to. Who knows if they’d have the same impact coming from anyone else? (No, Kosh doesn’t quite count in this; hard to get emotional depth from a voice box).
God Bless her, a few months ago my mom and I started to watch B5 from the start again, she will forever live in our hearts, like so many never to be forgotten.
Rest In Peace Beautiful Lady. Your work as an actor gave so many people such joy and love. We can never thank you enough for sharing your life with us all.
A wonderful tribute to a beautiful soul and actress. I'm saddened by her passing but knowing that DeLenn, her alter ego, lives on to inspire and uplift us.
Thank you, John. When you mentioned, after Pat's beautiful guided meditation for Mira, that you'd been working all weekend, but awaiting approval, I knew this was coming. I had to steel myself to click 'play', but, as always, you've given us a very moving celebration of her life and spirit and talent. And, as ever, I wish you hadn't had to honour us with these so many times.
RIP Mira! I didn't know she had passed until I saw this video on my sidebar! I was shocked and quickly clicked on it. It was a lovely tribute. She was so beautiful and talented. I then had to go find out how she died. So I went to Wikipedia and found out she died from complications due to West Nile virus. She was taken from us too soon.
Well, that just turned me into a puddle of tears... Just gorgeous. With a nod to those others who have passed beyond the rim. Months later and I am still mentally grappling with this one.
As a Science Fiction Fan, Mira Furlan was born to portray Delenn. She brought with her to that character, dignity, respect, love, compassion and many other attributes. The most incredible attribute she brought with her was BEAUTY! Mira Furlan you will be not forgotten by this fan! This was a touching tribute to Mira Furlan.
I had the biggest crush on Mira Furlan through the whole series and well after. She was an accomplished actor and I'm sure an amazing human. She and so many of the cast now are sorely missed. RIP Mira and departed cast from star dust we came and will return.
A beautiful tribute without a doubt, Best out there so far.. But on one note in the cast who passed montage was missing Michael O’Hare (Commander Sinclair)
Unfortunately, I had to make certain hard choices about who I could or couldn't fit in the time available at that point.... I never really knew O'Hare as well as I did the others I used.

Rest in Peace, Mira, in that place were no shadows fall, guided by C.S. Lewis.
My thoughts, exactly 💜 Farewell, and Rest in Peace, Mira
Very well said
@@jerbear20032003 The "Shadows" were the main malevolent alien race from the TV series Babylon 5.
Our condolences from Russia. We will always love you Mira and see you, in a little while, in a place where no shadows fall.
I was weepy at the start of the video, but 2:54 started a full on flood of tears. So many lost to us. To absent friends, in memory still bright.
Me too .. me too !
"She went to that place where no shadows fall." That's some deep sentiment Bro ! Love that line !!

Bila si vrstan umjetnik, ljepotica i raritet... Forever MIRA FURLAN......
@@12floz67 - Were you born an ass, or did you practice a lot? Inquiring minds and all that...

I can't imagine anyone hitting the dislike button she was such a wonderful lady met her in person she will be deeply missed.
Great actress! When I was young she was a great movie star in Yugoslavia and for me she will be always a bright shiny star! Počivaj u miru draga Miro!

The wisdom and kindness this woman passed on to all of us fans we won't forget. This one just hurts. She impacted all of us, positively and the damn b5 curse strikes again. Thanks Mira, you helped us all with your wise words and how well you told your stories with class and grace. We will miss you.
RIP Ms Furlan. A fitting tribute to a beautiful talented actress. We will all meet again.
I was crushed when I first heard the news of Ms. Furlan's passing...Thank you to those of you who put this memorial together...
How wonderful she was as Deleen, as Rousseau and as a human being. I will miss you dearly
I had the honour of meeting her at a convention in the UK. She was so sincere and warm. She's sleeping in light now.
I am so sad because Mira Furlan was an amazing actress. I only really knew her from Babylon5. My condolences to her husband and son.
Dear Mira; 65 is such a young age to be leaving us, and the part of me that is staying will very much miss the part of you that is leaving.
What a sad loss ...she must have been a very special lady...her portrayal of Delenn was wonderful ...RIP Mira Furlan
Absolutely devastated. An incredible actress who brought something truly special to every role she played.
Ma gdje god bili Mi stare duse se poznajemo kroz oci, osjecaje, ljubav, nasim djela. Hvala ti, opet cemo se sresti i za kratko dovidjena... zbogom.

You are not alone. To absent friends. 🥂
This was, by far, THE best tribute video I've ever watched on UA-cam. I don't have the words to describe just how powerfully moving this was to me. Each video clip was lovingly chosen to highlight the best of what Mira brought to the character of Delenn. Simply exquisite.
we are star stuff :)
What?! I didn’t know this! Oh man...we just lost one of the most talented, graceful actresses is history. You will be missed Mira.
I'm so so sorry to learn about her passing away. Much too soon. I enjoyed every second of her in this great series Babylon 5 . Rest in peace Mira.
It totally got me when all the other dead actors were shown.
Great memorial!
Massive fan of hers when she was in Babylon 5 heartbroken to hear she’s passed away rest in peace
You are in fine company, and you are not alone.
Oh no such a sad news. She was truly inspirational actress, intelligent, kind, thoughtful and also powerful. Beautiful smile of Mira and her kindness will never be forgotten. RIP
Beautifuly done. Nice nod to the other Actors from B5 that passed before her.
So all those people at 2:55 Are gone too?
@@darrellee8194 unfortunately yes, Richard Biggs, Jeff Connaway, Jerry Doyle, Tim Chote, Steven Furst & Andreas Katsulas have all passed on.
Michael O'Hare, too :(
Each passing year sees the cast one step closer to being reunited.

A mind-blowing tribute to a one-of-a-kind talent and person.
A beautiful and touching tribute ❤️ Mira joins her friends from Babylon 5, so many of whom we have lost. Such a special and unique show. Mira showed us so many sides to Delenn, a remarkable character, perfectly cast.
In Valen's Name I will see you again in another life my friend.

R.I.P. Mira Furlan
Watched the TV show when I was 4-6 years old. Now I'm 29, almost 30, and now I understand how great of a cast that was. I hope Mira Furlan, Andreas Katsulas, Michael O'Harra, Jerry Doyl, Jeff Conaway, Richard Bigs, Stephen Furst are at peace and when others will join you - so will they be at peace in a place where no shadow falls 💫
Babylon 5 is one of the best TV shows ever made, it is a miracle, every journal and critic said the TV show would die but it still lives in our hearts and managed to get the entire arc plot, though Michael Straczynski said they had to tighten up the main arc to finish the show faster, too bad, I wish to see someday Neural Network continuation of the show with our most favorite actors.
Thank you for everything Mira, thank you for great childhood memories, your amazing smile, thank you all for being there for Babylon 5 when you were needed the most!
I hope we will all see you someday, happy and in great spirit beyond the stars, hope I will see them all someday
Thank you guys, I thank everyone who is reading the comment and everyone who was responsible for Babylon 5, even haters.
YOU ARE ALL AWESOME ❤🔥
Sincerely yours

Found out about her death just now. Sad, sad news ....
Hope you are all doing well , dear readers !
RIP Mira, you are missed... Thank you for being here and touching our lives.
Thank you Sir for making this wonderful tribute to her!
She was awesome on this show....RIP!!!!
She was really great in Lost too, stole the show every time she was on.
She was strength and grace, fire and compassion, wisdom and kindness. Thank you for this wonderful tribute.
Rest In Peace Beautiful Lady. Your work as an actor gave so many people such joy and love. We can never thank you enough for sharing your life with us all.
We live for the one, we die for the one. Rip Mira Furlan.
She was so great person. 😢Complete normal. It's breaks my heard she is gone. One of the best actors
RIP Mira Furlan, a truly fabulous actress & a truly great character she portrayed from the best Sci-Fi show ever!
A wonderful tribute to a beautiful soul and actress. I'm saddened by her passing but knowing that DeLenn, her alter ego, lives on to inspire and uplift us.
like most here i think, i did not know she passed away :( . Mira Furlan was a very good actress and i liked all her proformances, especially in B5.
Pocivaj u miru, hvala na svemu
I want to say, the person who put this together has some mad editing skills. I was at that Phoenix Comic Con. She was an amazing woman.
I met her at the Nexus Con in Berlin (2000). She was really something, and will be truly missed.
That sucks. She was so cool. I re-watched Babylon 5 recently, I still love it.
@@Babylon5MusicVideos yeah, but he was an integral part of the story and had lots of great scenes with Mira Furlan too. But like I said. Great job never the less.
@@Babylon5MusicVideos The real tradegy is that there are so many to begin with.
Michael o’Hare’s passing was the saddest of all. His battle with mental illness was a slow death that so many succumb to after years of struggling.
Yeah i remember i've read somewhere that Mira and her husband Goran been very close with Michael during filming Season 1. I really miss him in that video :(
