Hi Jeremy! Can you please tell if sustain option can be turned on without using sustain pedal in ctx700. The ctk 3550,4200, etc had the option to turn on sustain mode without using sustain pedal. For that, we just need to keep FUNCTION key pressed while switching ON the keyboard, and it will go into sustain mode. It would be very helpful if you can check the same for ctx700 as I am planning to buy it. Also, is there any news on upcoming update of psr e363, will it be worth to wait? Thank you.
@Nathaniel's Phone joke's on you, im wishing for one right now hahahaha theres actually a feature that lets you move your keys to lower or higher octaves but yeah, an 88keys would be nice.
I'm getting mine tomorrow. Where would you recommend learning how to play from? Also, if possible could you help me understand what key/button serves what purpose. You'd be a great help.
I bought this about 3 weeks ago and its trash im so disappointed i tried to learn a lot of pieces but its not the same sound or quality right know i try to learn comptine dun autre ete but i really lose motivation when i hear it while playing
Another "thumbs up" from me. These type of reviews are invaluable for people trying to decide what keyboard to buy. Even though I have my own keyboard and niot in the market for a new one, I love seeing what's around in the market place. Keep them coming please Jeremy.
Thanks for your honest review! I’m a piano player for 21 years now and moved to a new state for work, leaving my old piano at my parent’s. Definitely going to be buying this on Amazon now to get thru quarantine !
I think, for the money, the sound and capabilities are definitely a bargain. I love my CT-X800. In comparing it to the Yamaha PSR-E363 or PSR-EW300, it does a lot more, but I found something interesting in having both. I could compare sounds. The sax on the CT-X had a very realistic sax sound but I wasn't as thrilled with the slow vibrato.. (The PSR-E had a more natural sax vibrato). Many of the sounds were similar, but the CT-X has more clarity and crispness in the tones. However, the piano on the PSR-E363 has a warm, full, piano sound as compared to a brighter, slightly thinner sound. I tend to use the PSR-E for piano. I noticed on the CT-X, I kept trying fatten the sounds by layering. (I preferred the chamber strings with the grand piano), but the piano on the PSR-E was more stand-alone, as well as some of the acoustic guitar. (IMO). But overall, the CT-X is best. I'm glad I got that one first. It seems to offer the most. I'll probably use the piano, sax, guitar, and flute on the PSR-E. But the strings are MILES ahead on the CT-X (again, IMO). I like the synth sounds better too. I would love someday to see a tutorial on using the 6 track recorder. Thank you for another great video!
When I hooked the CT-X800 up to my big Fender keyboard amp, wow, that was impressive. Then, I wasn't hearing the awesome AiX sound through the smaller speakers. Casio definitely surprised everyone when they came out with the AiX sound source. Casio did come up with the ZPI sound source about 20 years ago, (as in the MZ-2000 .. still my favorite keyboard that I own) and they made a few keyboards with that.. But then they went backwards for a while. They needed something new and better and now they have become a big contender.
Just purchased this keyboard. I thought it was the perfect option for me since I still am barley learning, and I thought this would be the best to practice and learn on. Thank you for this amazing review 👏
These are the problems I had with AHL keyboards: - The sound chip is overused on a lot of new models. - Repetitive song bank. - Same designs on almost every model. - Downgraded songs in the song bank. - Lack of inspirations. I own four Casio keyboards. I mostly use my LK-222 keyboard, which is another AHL model, but it had more inspiration and more songs, though the only complaint I have is the rattling on the keys. Honestly, if I had to, I'd sell my WK-220 for this AiX keyboard.
Some of the songs, such as "Greensleeves," have been used in Casiotone models since the early 1980s, probably due to the songs being free or cheaply licensed. I don't know about the same designs on every model in the newer keyboards. In the 1980s, they used the same case in multiple products, but had wildly different controls from one product to the next. They also used the same chipset in multiple models, but with different features exposed. It's fun to collect those older keyboards because you really can get several radically different models from the same chipset.
I would not trade a 7200 ctk or a 7600 wk for a ctx-3000 or 5000. The midi capabilities of the ctk and wk are well above the ctx. The CTX (5000-3000) is full of errors and bugs. Delays, stutters, slowdowns in the tempo, it does not have a midi clock, it corrupts the midi tracks already recorded when making a punch-in recording, it only has midi output in the accompaniment, when you use it together with a daw, the internal clock fails .... It is a bad keyboard, the only thing it has is that it does not sound bad, but in everything else it is worse.
2:59 bro, that music is *chef's kiss* I would replay that all day, everyday. Man, I really wanna play and learn but too bad this piano is like 10x the price where I live(conversions and all that...the prices goes up to like 1.2K). Guess I'll just have to save up when I can get this. =/
I am planning to purchase a CT-X700 in the near future. I prefer the seven track recorder built in. The price makes it a good candidate for a learning keyboard. The lack of layer balance and inability to output audio on the USB port are minor inconveniences. What sells it to me over the Yamaha PSR-E series is the key bed height. I would prefer weighted key action but I can live without until I can develop my skills to intermediate level. This one will do me until the Medeli AKX10 is available in the US.
Just put this on amazon order just right now coz of your unbiased review thanks buddy hoping to arrive it sooner coz my 7 yr old will be very happy in her first keyboard and she is really eager to learn...thanks again jeremy hope to see more of you videos btw just subscribed to your channel!
Good review. I find CTX700 ideal for this ole retread learning piano in my seventh decade. Soon turning on great Grand Piano sound over Stage Piano. Yes, a selector wheel have been nice. Still have my vintage HT700 Synth with its cranky low tech 80s tones, jokester piano. CTX with AIX sound = 100% better! 😎😎😎
i already play guitar and want to learn piano next and i didn’t know keyboards were this cool😂 they is such cool sounds and rhythms on here what the heck ima get one of these for sure
Wow! Very impressive. I bought Casio CTK-671 some twenty yrs ago, and it's still going strong. I was recommended Casio over the Yamaha in similar price range with a much better sound quality. Perhaps now time for an upgrade, as you mention the CT-X700 has a newer/improved sound chip, plus USB Midi socket, as opposed to my current 5 PIN Din sockets, which require to use an USB-Midi interface/Adaptor. The LCD has a similar layout, which is great for showing notes played. Looks good for the price. Thanks for the review.
I honestly have a strong feeling after watching many of your videos that CASIO keyboards seem to sound much better/crispier/cleaner and have a higher fidelity than the YAMAHA/Roland counterparts. I am listening to all these videos on my Sennheiser HD 598 Sr open-back headphones with an external DAC. I am really leaning towards CASIO!
I would agree with your observation regarding Casio sounding better than Yamaha. I have had 3 Yamaha keyboards to date, even one of the higher end home models. The piano tone, which Yamaha claims was synthesized from one of their own professional level grand pianos, does not sound like a grand piano to me.
Blimey JS that 'Misty 'sounded gorgeous. Thought it was a Genos lol seriously. Just shows what a good player can get from a cheap keyboard. You make it sound amazing fella. Another tremendous vid by the best reviewer in the business. Period!
Yeah! For me Casio Ctx700 is a lot better than yamaha E363. The Aix sound chip make me temp to buy it for my upcoming birthday this june 19💓🥰 More power to your channel sir!♥️ Grettings from Philippines!💓 (Mabuhay!)
Been watching tons of your videos all day... you're my #1 source for keyboard research right now. I'm a beginner and your videos are simple & packed with info. THANK YOU!
I might echo the comment from Geoff Mason a few hours ago ─ I'm no longer in the market but enjoy keeping up with what's around and your reviews are among the best-informed while also being free from bias. At the same time, you focus more on the less expensive end of the market which is what many of your subscribers are looking for. And that leads me to this review ─ while there are always features you would like just not being there (and the list would vary from person to person), this keyboard seems to give a great deal for the price. Beginners should aim for quality first and range of features second, and this keyboard seems to provide a very nice balance on those things while remaining at a beginners price range (actually, I had to look again at the price, the instrument sounds as if it was going to be more expensive). [And I see you continue to have fun exploring your video production skills!].
Always a pleasure to hear from you my friend. Music should be accessible to all. That's why I prefer to focus on keyboards & tutorials that can help spark a musical journey. 😉 Take care, buddy.
@@JeremySee Jeremy, that middle sentence ("music should be accessible to all") is a perfect philosophy - cuoldn't agree more. Keep well; a challenge in this world that's heading in uncertain directions.
Jeremy, I think the time has comes... Plz make a review of Simply Piano ads because that the sole ads that i saw everytimes i watch piano related content😂. Just wanna see what do you think about it
Some historical perspective: (1) Matte finish keys aren't really a defining feature of Casiotone models. A lot of the 1980s models had glossy keys. (2) As near as I can tell, the "CT" in the model number simply means it has full-size keys. The MT models traditionally have mid-sized keys, while some toy model lines have tiny keys. The synthesis engines employed in all Casio model lines have changed drastically over the years, but they've retained the same model number prefixes throughout. Notable exceptions are the Spectrum Dynamic line, which had HT or HX prefixes; CZ for Phase Distortion models; and VZ for iPD models.
i'm going for ctx 700 in 2023 and doesn't know much of the current best keyboards at this price range. could u tell me if this would be good choice for the the range and if there are any good alternatives that should be considerd before buying this
Hi Jeremy, my boy is turning 8 next week. I have been watching your recommendations and I have decided that this is the one to get him. I would like to know however if there is a Bluetooth function so that he can have his headphones on, just to not have wires in the way. He loves music and wants to learn to play a keyboard. If it doesn't, would you recommend one that does for a beginner? Tia.
Just bought this keyboard, thanks jeremy see for all the reviews. This keyboard exceed my expectation, the sound is a bit better than old yamaha psr 290.
I’ve watched your video about best 6 keyboards for beginners , I’m comparing between Casio CT-X700 and Yamaha PSR-E363 and still don’t know the best . If I’m a beginner ; what should I take for best ?
Is this still a good keyboard an worth it Jeremy? just love the easy way of changing things that the e373 needs extensive menu searches I also love the bass an treble clef on the screen does that show you the notes on it also sounds of piano and voices vs e373 thanks
I'm particularly interested in the string sounds and the piano sounds. Any idea where I may find a thorough demo of the strings? Looks like a wonderful keyboard.
First of all, thanks for all these review videos bro! Hope you keep up this good work. Can we expect a CTX refresh with the Casiotone type matte finish keys anytime soon or at least by the end of this year? Do those matte finish keys feel like the privia keys, although without weightedness? I already own a CTK6300IN, but it developed some issues over time. Now, when I wish to buy a new one, my mind wanders between the portability and matte finish keys of Casiotone, and the better features of CT-X. The Casiotone even has a dedicated Sustain button, which I find very useful. Will the sustain button also carry over to the next refresh of CT-X and most importantly, can we expect a refresh anytime soon this year?
Hiii Jeremy! How do I make the touch sensitivity's default setting in to "Heavy?" Every time I open my CTX-700 the default touch sensitivity is "Normal." Is there a way to make the default touch sensitivity as "Heavy?"
Please advise, in 2022 as a first keyboard for learning, what would you advise? Beginner. Budget might be not as a "super saver". But makes no sense to overpay these days
Hi, i dont know anything about piano and i want to buy one in my budget also not bad, the choices i got in my country are the Yamaha a350 and casio ct-x 800 which is a slightly improved version of the casio ct-x 700 What do you recommend me
This is all new to me and considering the x700 or the Yamaha E373 . Two questions for both: ?1 - Can the keyboard be played automatically similar to the Disklavier type function. It would be nice to use the keyboard as a background music source ?2 - Can you record sounds and play them back via the keyboard? Such as car, dog, people, equipment type sounds. This appeals to the nerd in me :-)
I have had this keyboard for two years now. Now I decided to upgrade to 88 keys..I chose between casio cdp s100 and korg b2, I opted for casio cdp s100 because of the less slippery keys. I hope the choice is the right one.
Hello! Great videos! I want to buy a arranger keyboard! I have psr i425 for past 4 years.. now I want to go with Yamaha psr sx900 ! Should I go for it? Please suggest me!
Hey Jeremy! I'm thinking of buying this keyboard... But the thing is, i've found a couple of comments that say the keys make a lot of sound when pressed... Is that true for all of them or just some that had problems in manufacturing or something... If it is true for all, do u think I should go for it or not?
Is the matte finish keys of Casiotone series much better than CTX series overall or is it not that much of a big deal to worry about regarding playing experience? I'm quite stuck about which one to buy.
I bought the organ but like I said can’t understand the music booki would like to purchase your books I do play piano a little you sound good at explaining please keep in touch THANKYOU
Jeremy, for a lets say composer or amateur composer that use a psr 343 already is better this one on 230 euros (!!!!) that sold in Greece or a Korg ek 50 fro about 310-330 euros or an other yamaha of about this range of prices?...i am interested much on organ voices and in rhythms with beat and some reggae styles....maybe some world styles also...hope you send answer
I wanted to buy it but I heard this model has a problem with clicky keys plastic sound because the factory grease is getting worn out. You can hear the problem in Fur Elise cover video after typing in youtube search bar. Does your CT-X700 has this issue?
Hello, Jeremy between Casio CTX 700/800 and Yamaha psr 373 i want to know betweeen both which has more new rhythms to download from the web because they use different audio formats Yamaha (.STY) and Casio (.AC7) .. and which format is the most common and easy for creating rhythms I am thinking of buying my first keyboard and I think that both keyboards are good but my decision depends on knowing which from it than I can more easily update with latin americans rhythms , your opinion will be very useful to me thanks from Colombia
Hi sir, I see all of your videos time to time. Now i was wondering what should I buy? Casio ctx 700 or yamaha psr e363..please can you tell me?..please...

That Keyboard is almost perfect but the Dual Voice Volume is it lacks.
I'm sure that it was never a feature on CASIO keyboards.
I have the casio ctk x 3000
I layer with volume change to both voice.
Dito with splitting
Ergo: tota 4 voices with all different volumes!
Greetings from Serbia. Thank you ❤❤❤

I can't stop the touch response when I am Switch off it is again and again switch on automatically 😭😭😭
Jeremy, I think the time has comes... Plz make a review of Simply Piano ads because that the sole ads that i saw everytimes i watch piano related content😂. Just wanna see what do you think about it
Yeah true..I'm sick of it now and being tired of watching them I have downloaded app but still it annoys much lol
7:39 How do you get to these effects?? You only show the screen so idk where the button is, no effects or reverb button anywhere on the keyboard
thx to you Coach 🙏 i used this for 2 weeks. love ur reviews n videos
Some historical perspective:
(1) Matte finish keys aren't really a defining feature of Casiotone models.
Tia.
There isn't any keyboard with Bluetooth to headphones due to latency issues.
He would need one that has at least a headphone jack and it will be wired.
@@JeremySee how about Roland go keys? I think it has blue tooth option
Just bought this keyboard, thanks jeremy see for all the reviews. This keyboard exceed my expectation, the sound is a bit better than old yamaha psr 290.
Have fun!
@@JeremySee thanks...
Dear sir Jeremy can I record multiple times here to make a sound track for my song and transfer to my mobile.please response me sir👏
I am going to buy this today
The grand piano sound attracted me...i can't tell does it need an external speaker or has internal ones?
Fabulous videos - Very helpful! Cheers
I wonder if the AiX sounds have been improved / updated in the new CT-S400? Would love to see a comparison between these two keyboards.
I’ve watched your video about best 6 keyboards for beginners , I’m comparing between Casio CT-X700 and Yamaha PSR-E363 and still don’t know the best . If I’m a beginner ; what should I take for best ?
CT-X700
@@divyrajzala867 What do you think of it so far? Is it living up to your expectation??
nice review bro
Thank You.... I thinking of getting it i will check out the list you did for beginners also, i enjoyed the way you taught also...
Glad it was helpful!
This keyboard sounds so good would like to say thank you I’m going to buy one.
Have fun!
Might be dumb question but does the CT-X700 support USB headsets or only jack?
Is this still a good keyboard an worth it Jeremy? just love the easy way of changing things that the e373 needs extensive menu searches I also love the bass an treble clef on the screen does that show you the notes on it also sounds of piano and voices vs e373 thanks
Thankss soo much you makes very good video about this keabeard less expensive to begin leaning the piano thanks👍👍👍🤗
Hi Jeremy, wich keyboard do you recommend me?
I'm considering CASIO Privia PX-s3000 or YAMAHA P125B, thank you!
2023 and now it's $200. Still worth buying or is there some other Casio that's taken it's place that's at this level?
Hey Jeremy, is casio ctx700 still worth purchasing in 2021? And is casio ctx 700 sound quality better from yamaha psr e373?
up
which yamaha type that have similar features like this, in the same price range?
I'm gonna buy this right now!
I'm particularly interested in the string sounds and the piano sounds. Any idea where I may find a thorough demo of the strings? Looks like a wonderful keyboard.
With the AiX sound engine, I'll own it
First of all, thanks for all these review videos bro!
There's a new casiotone, the cts400 is an improved version of the ctx800 in a portable package
Thanks Jeremy. this is really helpful
Thanks buddy
Hiii Jeremy! How do I make the touch sensitivity's default setting in to "Heavy?" Every time I open my CTX-700 the default touch sensitivity is "Normal." Is there a way to make the default touch sensitivity as "Heavy?"
Please advise, in 2022 as a first keyboard for learning, what would you advise? Beginner. Budget might be not as a "super saver". But makes no sense to overpay these days
Love the video. Where did you get the music rest?
2:59 this reminded me of a painful beautiful video of two girls and a single cup
Dude no, pls no, hello no, fawk no, imma call the FBI right now
Hahhahahaha 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Hi, i dont know anything about piano and i want to buy one in my budget also not bad, the choices i got in my country are the Yamaha a350 and casio ct-x 800 which is a slightly improved version of the casio ct-x 700
What do you recommend me
I planned to get these one, could u teach me what cord u are using on 1:16 im a beginner
Hi! i’m a beginner and not sure which one to buy but i’m currently deciding between this, a yamaha dgx-200, and a yamaha psr ew300
Hope I can achieve my dream of learning piano with you!
This is all new to me and considering the x700 or the Yamaha E373 . Two questions for both:
?1 - Can the keyboard be played automatically similar to the Disklavier type function. It would be nice to use the keyboard as a background music source
?2 - Can you record sounds and play them back via the keyboard? Such as car, dog, people, equipment type sounds. This appeals to the nerd in me :-)
i went and bought one 😍❤ thank you Jeremy ❤
Have fun! 😉
@@JeremySee god bless you
Jeremy, psr e463 or ctx 3000?
I own this keyboard and it is amazing for this price. Good job Casio! 👍
Good choice!
I have had this keyboard for two years now. Now I decided to upgrade to 88 keys..I chose between casio cdp s100 and korg b2, I opted for casio cdp s100 because of the less slippery keys. I hope the choice is the right one.
@@bojanvrscaj3529 did the 61 keys hinder your learning?
Can you change sustain levels?
Using function button
Hello! Great videos! I want to buy a arranger keyboard! I have psr i425 for past 4 years.. now I want to go with Yamaha psr sx900 ! Should I go for it? Please suggest me!
Hey Jeremy, what would you say if you had to compare CT-X700 to CT-X800? Is the difference between these 2 models worth of giving bonus $50?
The $50 extra gives you a pitch bend wheel and USB input. That said, I've just ordered a CT-X700, as I don't need the wheel nor USB function
I love the way u explain everything
Thanks buddy.
@@JeremySee I have a doubt bro which Is the best one to compose a music. Under 200$

I wish you had books I could buy on Casio ctx 700 it would be great THANKYOU FOR ALL YOUR HELP TODAY
I bought this piano 4 years ago but searching now
I wanted to buy it but I heard this model has a problem with clicky keys plastic sound because the factory grease is getting worn out. You can hear the problem in Fur Elise cover video after typing in youtube search bar. Does your CT-X700 has this issue?
Jeremy thank you for reviewing all these keyboards. I just ordered the Yamaha E373 based on your recommendation
Have fun!
I can't decide between this and Yamaha PSR-E363. Probably go with the Yamaha, but I like this too, so? Thanks for video!, and channel!
Went for the Casio
Hello, Jeremy between Casio CTX 700/800 and Yamaha psr 373 i want to know betweeen both which has more new rhythms to download from the web because they use different audio formats Yamaha (.STY) and Casio (.AC7) .. and which format is the most common and easy for creating rhythms I am thinking of buying my first keyboard and I think that both keyboards are good but my decision depends on knowing which from it than I can more easily update with latin americans rhythms , your opinion will be very useful to me thanks from Colombia
hello sir jeremy.. do you have review WK 6600 casio?
is this considered as a pro player keyboard? is it good for open space or bar gig?
Yes it is for both...
I'm between a CTK-3500 and this one, since prices of both are almost the same between those two, IDK what to choose
