If you parry with a fused elemental shield, it will do an elemental aoe attack. It's really fun! (I think this also works with every other burst material, but I've only tested this with elemental lizalfos horns - I wonder how much the aoe could increase when using ores instead?)
One thing to note is that unlike normal bokoblin horns, boss bokoblin horns create axe type weapons, meaning they will be able to instantly break crates even when fused to a spear.

With the igniting talus thing this also applies to their crit spot so if you're whacking an igneo talus with a fire weapon you'll relight it under your feet so take care to pay attention to your weapon element against the ones with elements
Early in my playthrough i tried to see if bomb flowers cooked over an open flame like apples mushrooms and meats do...Needless to say it didn't go well
You have to be in bullet time and as close as possible for the dazzle fruits to work and you have to shoot it 2-3 times for bigger mirror triggers. 1 time is sometime enough on small mirror triggers though.. A 5 shot Lynel Bow also helps a lot although I've done it with the Forest Dweller's Bow too.
I hope eventually you do a breakdown of cooking with all of the monster parts (including dragon parts, which I hear are quite powerful). I could never find anything that went into as much depth as you do when it comes to these kinds of things.
Also a couple horn fusions also give an axe property and not just sharp dealing double damage to trees, mainly includes blue through silver boss bokos horns and hinox toenails. Worth having an ability to oneshot evermeans on you or if you ever wanted to deforest a tile in an instant.

Also, _fused items_ and the _attack up modifier_ are 1.05x effective on 2H weapons, rounded down, and 0.75x effective on spears, rounded up.
5:15 What about boomerangs? I seem to recall getting use out of an electric keese eye on the Sea-Breeze boomerang; though my memory is far from infallible.
Keese eyeballs do nothing at all on boomerangs, they don't even give the same distance increase that keese wings do (like both do for arrows). This is from my testing but I'd love to be proven wrong somehow.
Be careful of other content creators stealing the idea for this series. It occasionally happens to smaller channels like yours and I'd hate to see your work stolen. Just something you should keep in mind. Thank you for the amazing video can't wait for next video!
Best way for farming keese eyes is to go into cave entrances where those massive swarms appear and shoot a bomb arrow into them. If you time it right you can get around 14 keese eyeballs each time
Forest dweller weapons always start deactivated (opposed to elemental weapon, which start active). So switching weapons obviously wouldn't help. Multi-shoot dazzle fruit shots can activate ~some~ light puzzles. It seems there are different length triggers and you can only activate shorter ones. Also it might require being in bullet time.
Bokoblin horn progression: 1 spike, two spike, three spike, Cat Toy (or star fragment). Moblins: Pachycephalosaurus, Pickaxe (or Longhorn), Pineapple, Curly-Q Horriblin: Hammer, Hammer, Hammer, world's sharpest pompadour Lizalfos: knife, katana, meaner knife (feel like those last two should've been swapped, right?) Maka Albarn Hinoxes: "What's the most Metal thing I can bludgeon monsters with?" 🤘🎸 Boss Bokos: Spearhead, Axe, bigger axe, and then... a chakram for some reason? (I feel like they should ricochet when thrown 😂)
The throw distance boost from wings also stacks with the weapon modifier that lets you throw farther, for maximum yeet. Forest Dweller Weapons give a boost to elemental part recharge. Light Dragon parts might also make gloom spawned by Hands and a certain miniboss dissapear with less hits.
dazzle fruit can easily stun any frox, making it so that you don't need to hit the eye. also to make dazzle fruit work on light sensors, you need multiple shots while in bullet time
i may be wrong, but i think gleeok horns eventually kind of half-loose their charge. it takes a bunch of swings (i'm not sure how many) and i don't think there's a visual indicator, but eventually, instead of the element affecting enemies on every hit, it only affects them on the last one
One good reason to reignite/refreeze elemental Taluses is that you can then remove their element again to stun them, rather than having to wait for them to power back up on their own.
The multi shot bow with dazzle fruit does work, you have to shoot it more than once though and it works much easier in bullet time. It even works with a 3 shot if you are close enough and shoot fast enough.
Note on blade replacement: Only Sharp horns (boko, lizal, etc) on 1H & 2H swords will replace the "blade", leaving only the hilt & horn. This often means a shorter reach: Claymore + Silver Lizal = a really short 2H sickle. Blunt horns keep the whole base weapon & get glued to its tip, keeping the base weapon's reach. Spears keep their reach with everything, as Sharp Horns only replace the spearhead. So I typically save Sharp horns for spears, and Blunt horns for 1H/2H swords. (also Master Sword remains Master Sword-shaped no matter what's fused)
Blue Lizal and Silver Lynel Saber horns are both longer range than most weapons you can attatch them to. I'm also pretty sure the Boss Boko 1 horn and Blue Moblin horn are weird outliers to their chains that behave like "swords" and don't have the standard features of their lines, but it's been a minute since I did that and could be misremembering.
5:00 yes it is but I found something else different for the weak point when I was doing my frox medal after climbing on them they can launch you in the air if you jump on them and if you get the right angle you can hit the lump where the eye is and that is also considered an eye shot
2:14 reigniting elemental talus’s isn’t something you’d want to do, but it’s good to know in case you’re using a talus heart on weapons. If you attack an igneo talus with an igneo talus heart, it triggers the reignition, making you unable to kill it as quickly (took me way too long to figure out why this was happening to me)

(This comment has spoilers if u get all shrines) So the reward for all shrines can have some neat details such as if u talk to purah If u talk to purah while u are wearing the ancient hero aspect she will have neat dialogue such as “You look familiar in those clothes but yet still i recognize you in those clothes. I dont really know the exact dialogue she says but it goes something like that.
Take 4 fleet lotus and add the a light dragon's horn to it. You get 30 minutes of a level 3 speed boost. The duration limit will always be 30 min and can't be exceeded by adding two light dragons horns
A cool thing with dragon parts. any dragon part horn, scale, claw, etc has the highest render distance of any item. I believe you can walk around 2000 meters away from a part without it despawning. using ultra hand to attach dragon parts to any object gives the entire object the 2000 meter render distance. it's also possible to use the zonite version of dragon parts (using auto build without the actual item) for the same effect. love ur content keep it up
3:35 When bypassing light sensor shrines they said that wrong, to do this you must do anything to get in bullet time and using a multi-shot bow use a dazzle fruit and fire 3-5 shots(depending on multishot) at once (reason for bullet time) take notes that duplex bows do not work for this.
the trick with dazzle fruit might only work with a x5 multishot bow, and it helps to be in bullet time, with a good angle (as perpendicular as possible) It might still not work on every puzzle. It feels much more inconsistent than bombflowers for pressure plates
A useful trick which can be used is elemental gems on master sword : when you shoot a beam with it you will also shoot an elemental projectile, an other quit interesting thing is fusing elemental lizalfos horns to an eightfold longblade : the regular wind slash that the weapon make will be turned into an elemental one which is crazy strong
In the video, you said that any wing monster parts can make weapons fly farther, can you test out if it stacks with long throw and if stronger monster wings have any difference in flight distance? In a future episode maybe?
Regarding reigniting the elemental talus, I don't know why you'd want to do it either, but it's good to know regardless. I was fighting a frost talus while under a "cold weather attack up" effect, and the attack up boost (an elemental effect) reignited the talus right under my feet, freezing me.
Oh. I thought this video was going to be like, looking at each monster horn and scientifically talking about how efficient weapons they’d be (like how silver lizalfos horns make scythes). Ah well. That’s a video idea for someone else.
That’s a fair assessment. There’s not a whole lot to talk about considering that their main purpose is (usually)just increasing damage, but I tried pointing out more obscure and potentially unknown facts about them instead.
Nintendo really went all out on the fuse system. Its going to be hard to play BotW now. Im going to miss Fuse so much. I dont know why I never tried a Gleeok horn on a weapon. Just hoarding them, I guess, in case they were needed in armor upgrades, but now I'm definitely going to try them! Thanks!
I like how depending on the kind of material it removes the blade of your weapon or tries to add into it. Sometimes it just looks silly like with molduga wings, but sometimes you get neat things, like an axe if you fuse a hinox nail to a one handed melee weapon, or something idk how to say in english if you fuse it with a spear. I specially like how it seems intended to have some of them look suspiciously designed for some weapon, like gleok horns and royale claymore, or blue moblin horns and that weapon that Yunobo uses. I like horns because when they remove the blade, they have conveniently the form to replace it and look cool.
The Term you're looking for the Stone-fused-Spear variants is *a Glaive* - designed with a Curved Blade out front, rather than a Pointed Tip. And with the lower number of Yiga BladeMasters in Overworld Ambushes, you're best to Fuse Dragon Horns to your Longblades - they provide the highest Elemental Damage Buff to the Blade Wave attack, and all look awesome to boot!
I dont think the lynel horns are blunt, as when fusing a silver lynel horn to my Boulder Breaker, it lost the demolisher buff, the ability to break ores in one hit, and the damage bonus for ore based enemies.
@canadianbutt2759 Frozen fish are better than frozen meat, especially if it is wet or rainy. I think it has to do with fish scales, which is so cool of a detail. The best meat I found to use would be to freeze Raw meat(thin cut), it covers the most surface area of the shield and will provide little better mobility in surfing. Hope this helped. I have 360+ hours in the game now and am having so much fun. Hope this helps the community that helped me.
@@0ne1nfinity I don't believe this to be true... The crab I could plausibly understand due to the edges making you impact the ground more while sliding, and each time you hit the ground you drop 1 durability, but there is no reason to believe the hitbox of the fish and the meat are different enough to affect durability in a measurable way. Durability is taken off by time while surfing, and there is nothing I know if in the code to account for any frozen fuse material to slide at a different speed from the rest. Rain affects shield surfing overall, but again not differently by any fuse material to my knowledge. Easy way to test this yourself is to use Boko shields since they have like 5 durability, and just go down the same hill three times to see how far you get. I would do it personally but I have a mod disabling shield surfing durability damage. You can find 3-6 of them on any red Bokoblins following a Boss Bokoblin.
@@SaturninePlaces You're correct. I didn't realize the shield was in a big fight when it broke using a crab. I like using the frozen crab for surfing. Feels like it goes further and looks better than meat on a shield.
Iirc, bokoblin horns aren't actually sharp enough to cut trees. I think it's because they are supposed to resemble spear tips, so they are made for thrusting instead of cutting.
There are three factors that go into tree cutting First, weapon sharpness, a weapon has to be sharp to cut trees at all, but any kind of sharpness will help. Spears DO NOT ever acquire this when used as a base, and cannot cut trees or grass, though they can when used as an attachment. Second, damage, I forget the threshold but trees have a certain amount of "health" that cutting weapons deplete when they strike them. Deplete this health, and the tree falls over, whether that takes 1 hit or 10 Third, the tree cutting tag, which specifically comes from the axehead rocks, Blue, Black, and Silver Boss Boko horns, and Hinox toenails. They apply a multiplier for damage vs trees (and things like wooden boxes), I forget the multiplier, but it's pretty substantial. Iirc two handed weapons in general also get a damage multiplier against all objects as well. A two handed sword will just chop down a tree or break ore in fewer hits than an identical one handed sword, even factoring the 5% damage buff. Incidentally, the quality that lets rocks mine better is a similar flag to tree chopping, not every blunt weapon has it. Notably, Lynel Hoofs are an item that does, and are basically useless for any other purpose, though all Horriblin horns have it as well
As far as I know, every weapon with a bone attached to it, like the spiked boko bows for example, benefits from bone proficiency, also idk if the colgera jaw counts or not
Colgera Jaw does not count Molduga Jaw, however, does, and has the highest potential damage out of any weapon attachment (besides the Gibdo Bone) as a result of Bone Weapon Proficiency
iirc another interesting thing i found abt monster parts is that the ones that specifically mention fusing it to an arrow in the item desc (boko/moblin fangs, lizal talons, lynel hooves, etc) add double their listed fuse power when fused to arrows. idk if this was already well known and im just a little slow but i only found that out like 120 hours in lmao
Recently I somehow had Link perform the sneak strike animation with a short sword at the end of a regular attack combo. The bokoblin I was attacking was facing me and was not in a state where I should’ve been able to sneak strike him. It may have had something to do with Link being unable to perform a certain animation because I was standing on some steep terrain
Aside from dealing more damage than a keese wing, Aerocuda Wings add a corckscrew attack to the arrow you shoot, and fusing a gibdo wing acts as a nightlight to arrows - better to use gibdo wings at night
In my own experience knowing that you can reignite a talus isn't because you'd want to reignite them, but to avoid reigniting them. My dumb ass attacked a frost talus with a frost talus heart even knowing not to use ice on them.
in my experience, keese eyeballs always aim for a headshot while the other eyes just focus on only hitting the target, not giving headshots so i use keese eyeballs more often
you didn't talk about the different levels of the shatter property. on blunt weapons, some, like silver lynel horns, have a boosted shatter, and so can break steel containers and dense zonaite ore and hard rocks when other blunt weapons would not otherwise

Moblins: Pachycephalosaurus, Pickaxe (or Longhorn), Pineapple, Curly-Q
Horriblin: Hammer, Hammer, Hammer, world's sharpest pompadour
Lizalfos: knife, katana, meaner knife (feel like those last two should've been swapped, right?) Maka Albarn
Hinoxes: "What's the most Metal thing I can bludgeon monsters with?" 🤘🎸
Boss Bokos: Spearhead, Axe, bigger axe, and then... a chakram for some reason? (I feel like they should ricochet when thrown 😂)
I like how muddlebuds work when you use master sword beams
Eyeballs actually do a bit of target and can be shown with boomerangs
Note on blade replacement:
Only Sharp horns (boko, lizal, etc) on 1H & 2H swords will replace the "blade", leaving only the hilt & horn.
I remember that attaching an eye to a spear lets it home in on enemies when thrown, never tried with the other weapons though
If you attack an igneo talus with an igneo talus heart, it triggers the reignition, making you unable to kill it as quickly (took me way too long to figure out why this was happening to me)
for a guy with only 3.71K subsribers, he makes really good and enjoyable content, and I hope to see more of it. maybe you could go through XP factor next
The bomb flower segment had me dying! Great content as ever.
Good video, hope you feel better
(This comment has spoilers if u get all shrines) So the reward for all shrines can have some neat details such as if u talk to purah
If u talk to purah while u are wearing the ancient hero aspect she will have neat dialogue such as “You look familiar in those clothes but yet still i recognize you in those clothes. I dont really know the exact dialogue she says but it goes something like that.
Thank you for me mentioning the spoiler so I could avoid reading your comment!
Take 4 fleet lotus and add the a light dragon's horn to it. You get 30 minutes of a level 3 speed boost.
The duration limit will always be 30 min and can't be exceeded by adding two light dragons horns
Forest dweller weapons can instantly recharge their fused material by unequipping the weapon, dropping it, and picking it back up
A cool thing with dragon parts. any dragon part horn, scale, claw, etc has the highest render distance of any item. I believe you can walk around 2000 meters away from a part without it despawning. using ultra hand to attach dragon parts to any object gives the entire object the 2000 meter render distance. it's also possible to use the zonite version of dragon parts (using auto build without the actual item) for the same effect. love ur content keep it up
Brightbloom seeds have a similar effect when thrown at a construct, they have their own rules for despawning that are applied to the construct, too.
3:40 it does work with the multi shot bow, but you have to shoot it twice in bullet time
I believe that aerocuda eyes have a more aggressive homing effect (meaning you can be less accurate/closer and it'll still hit the critical point)
Love the work, keep it up. Watched the whole thing.
the trick with dazzle fruit might only work with a x5 multishot bow, and it helps to be in bullet time, with a good angle (as perpendicular as possible)
It might still not work on every puzzle. It feels much more inconsistent than bombflowers for pressure plates
Geurudo Spoilers
Another thing I learned recently is that Bomb Arrows can be used instead of Riju’s Lightning for destroying Gibdo Hives
Who's riki?
if you go to a place where you can see your shadow use the camera ability and you can see link holding the pura pad, a nice little detail
And I thought the wind slash couldn't get any cooler.
Also, it works with any elemental fuse, not just Lizal horns. My favourite is Gleeok Horns.
In the video, you said that any wing monster parts can make weapons fly farther, can you test out if it stacks with long throw and if stronger monster wings have any difference in flight distance? In a future episode maybe?
Will-do! Thank you for the suggestion :)
Using a shield that does damage when parrying and immediately dropping a bomb flower explodes it and lets you stay safe.
Regarding reigniting the elemental talus, I don't know why you'd want to do it either, but it's good to know regardless. I was fighting a frost talus while under a "cold weather attack up" effect, and the attack up boost (an elemental effect) reignited the talus right under my feet, freezing me.
Maybe you’ve already covered this, but instead of using eyeballs on the frox, you can shoot dazzle fruit at it to stun.
Like like stones provide a larger area of elemental effect then jelly’s when shot from a bow
Thanks!
Yeah, but BOTW has uncapped fps and reworked shaders. Its shocking how much better the game feels with 120+ frames.
I love the reference to TehCactusPlant. Their videos are great
I dont think the lynel horns are blunt, as when fusing a silver lynel horn to my Boulder Breaker, it lost the demolisher buff, the ability to break ores in one hit, and the damage bonus for ore based enemies.
if you attach an elemental lizal horn to a eightfold long blade it creates an elemental slash
It confounds me that the monster parts are not in their own section in the compendium
I broke my first Hylian shield using it to shield surf with a frozen crab.
Frozen fish are better than frozen meat?
Also, Frozen Prime Meat or Frozen Meat. Which is better?
Silver boko horns cut trees for me, but I haven't tried the other types.
There are three factors that go into tree cutting
First, weapon sharpness, a weapon has to be sharp to cut trees at all, but any kind of sharpness will help. Spears DO NOT ever acquire this when used as a base, and cannot cut trees or grass, though they can when used as an attachment.
Second, damage, I forget the threshold but trees have a certain amount of "health" that cutting weapons deplete when they strike them. Deplete this health, and the tree falls over, whether that takes 1 hit or 10
Third, the tree cutting tag, which specifically comes from the axehead rocks, Blue, Black, and Silver Boss Boko horns, and Hinox toenails.
Notably, Lynel Hoofs are an item that does, and are basically useless for any other purpose, though all Horriblin horns have it as well
@@aprinnyonbreak1290 thank you for the detailed info!
The dazzle fruit one does work. You just have to shoot more than one time.
In BOTW, you'd re-ingnite a talus to stun them more quickly. I haven't checked in TOTK however.
3:35 it does work, you just have to repeatedly shoot at it in bullet time so it stays on for long enough
As far as I know, every weapon with a bone attached to it, like the spiked boko bows for example, benefits from bone proficiency, also idk if the colgera jaw counts or not
I'm pretty sure the colgera jaw sadly does not count
Colgera Jaw does not count
Molduga Jaw, however, does, and has the highest potential damage out of any weapon attachment (besides the Gibdo Bone) as a result of Bone Weapon Proficiency
iirc another interesting thing i found abt monster parts is that the ones that specifically mention fusing it to an arrow in the item desc (boko/moblin fangs, lizal talons, lynel hooves, etc) add double their listed fuse power when fused to arrows. idk if this was already well known and im just a little slow but i only found that out like 120 hours in lmao
Im pretty sure the aarakuda eyeball makes it shoot farther. It seemed like it when i was fighting a gleeok that was in the air at least
I just got the game last night and your video really saved my life in some case. Keep up the good work! 😊
you should post a video of pixelated spinning link with free bird playing in the background
You know something I find incredibly stupid? Frox fangs don't get bone prot. despite TEETH being BONES.
Eyeballs light up if they are locked onto something and are dark otherwise.
Aside from dealing more damage than a keese wing, Aerocuda Wings add a corckscrew attack to the arrow you shoot, and fusing a gibdo wing acts as a nightlight to arrows - better to use gibdo wings at night
recalling igneo talus fists back at them reignite them. it was very annoying before I got flamebreaker armor
In my own experience knowing that you can reignite a talus isn't because you'd want to reignite them, but to avoid reigniting them. My dumb ass attacked a frost talus with a frost talus heart even knowing not to use ice on them.
3:44 I've heard this trick before, you have to enter bullet time and fire twice with a multishot bow with dazzlefruit for it to work
Gibdo bones are also affected by bone prof
Light dragon items should give off the sacred light as a flame that sticks to enemies and saps away their life force for 1 min.
Maybe the dazzle fruits work if you shoot in bullet time. Can you try that?
Also teh catus plant is proud.
if you recarge a talus then uncharge in again you can pretty much put it in a stun lock
in my experience, keese eyeballs always aim for a headshot while the other eyes just focus on only hitting the target, not giving headshots so i use keese eyeballs more often
3:40 with bullet time and a multi shot bow you can bypass them in two shots
From what I’ve heard, a multi shot dazzle fruit does work on light puzzle switches but only in bullet time. Don’t quote me on that tho lol
The dazzle fruit bit works, but you have to use bullet time to shoot twice for a total of ten dazzle arrows
the glow fruit bow thing works just have to shoot in slow motion like 3 or 4 times
Videos like theese make me happy :)
I think gibdo bones work with bone prof.
5:17 aracudae eye balls have a bigger radius of homing
Fangs get a doubled attack increase on arrows, btw
you didn't talk about the different levels of the shatter property. on blunt weapons, some, like silver lynel horns, have a boosted shatter, and so can break steel containers and dense zonaite ore and hard rocks when other blunt weapons would not otherwise
