Nice 👍
Please next time show the whole bookshelf as one of the glamour shots.
Maybe it is feasible to have your camera for the glamour shots 'stand' on a table/shelf, and you slide it left and right? That way you might be able to get a more steady shot? Not sure, but worth a try.
its amazing how much your style has changed in just a year since this video, im kinda curious now and may go back to check out your older stuff. thats cool right? i kinda feel like im asking to go through your bookmarks.
I love when creators use accessible materials like butter!
And you can cut it so easily! Like a hot knife through... uh...
@@NorthoftheBorder Nazeem?
Butter is a privilege 🤣
But wouldn’t the butter melt and ruin the build? Haven’t made anything and this is the first time I’ve heard of using butter to help craft miniatures.

These videos really confirm my theory that EVERY child needs a dollhouse! My son had one when he was little and it was such a wonderful way to express his imagination. Is this not just the Big Boy’s version of that!?! It’s absolutely glorious. Your attention to detail makes for such a rich environment. Thanks for sharing.
I think everything I do is the big boys version of dollhouse and action figures.
Omg Yess. I get my dad to hel me make all these things. Not as cool tho. Amazing
"Action Figure House"... Get it right! ;-)
The level of dedication or insanity that leads a person to make miniature hanging frost mirriam is just beyond the pale. Or the Pale. All the way to Bruma fabulous.
He had to do something to cover the horrible painting.
@@Varangian_af_Scaniae if he’s so bad at painting, how’s yours?
@@perfanovpetermanski4520 So I have to be a Picasso to be able to criticize a bad painter? Do you get a headache when you think?
I guess you could say if he didn't put so much effort and dedication then that would pale in comparison.
@@Varangian_af_Scaniae Do you get a headache when you fart?😮
"Now I won't make you sit through the torture of watching me make a thousand individual cups and tomatoes..."
Me: >:(
Next time, I promise.
Me too.....
Right, I like seeing the little details too XD
I don't know why but this made me laugh a little, your "Reaction" is so cute
i mean thats what makes these kind of vids fun honestly
This was a "couldn't sleep" find and what a treasure!! I personally can't understand having a gap big enough in a book case for a book nook... mine are packed 2 deep and all directions...bookalanches are common. But I need to buy another bookcase and make my skyrim fan hubby one of these... your work and commentary was fantastic. Totally subscribed!

@@Squishiefroggie same ✊😭
Same! My room has 1 wall side to side floor to ceiling & another wall side to side but middle to ceiling built-in bookshelves(part of why I bought the house) Absolutely no room for a nook😥Definitely gonna have to purge soon.
Definitely Adam's work & commentary are on point!👍
Came for the book nook and staying for coffee stir sticks torture because that reminds me my own crafting journey. Cheers from Turkey!
Macaroni and stir-sticks.
The bane of first-world crafting. Lol.
Probably the only time I miss soviet Russia. If you wanted wood, you’d go collect it in the forest, in winter, all alone, in the dark… lol
I don't even play Skyrim, but I think this is an epic booknook! I love that you reshaped the roof to fit the bedroom shape. I think all your hard work paid off; it looks amazing!
For some reason my subtitles were showing up in German, so from now on I'm calling Breezehome "Brisenhaus". I loved this. Brisenhaus is where I go in my mind when I can't fall asleep. I LOVE seeing it brought to life like this. Thanks for sharing all your hard work with us!
Oh no! I must have put the wrong subtitle file in. Which language should it have been? Though, to be fair it does sound like a pretty happy accident
And if the inhabitants lose all their teaspoons, they can use their roof shingles to stir their coffee! Perfect!
As long as the coffee cups are very, very wee.
There are no Sackville-Bagginses in Skyrim, silly.
🤣
“You gotta start somewhere” 14:49
That really meant a lot to me, like deeply. I’m trying to start making these sort of projects (currently working on your calcifer diorama for a friend for Christmas!) and something about the way you turned the slight joke of “hmm maybe I make trash pieces” to “that’s ok it’s better to try than not to and then learn” encouraged me immensely. Tysm.
I for one, very much appreciated that you did this without one of those Hotwire cutters or any other fancy tools (love your little t-square spirit level ruler gadget tho!). Awesome build. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks! I like the idea of making things that someone else can recreate themselves without having to spend a fortune on tools. That being said, maaan, sometimes I would kill to have a hotwire cutter or a 3d printer!
As a cheese wheel hoarder, this is the most welcoming and comforting breeze home I have ever witnessed. 20/10
This came out fantastic! The potion bottles were amazing! Loving your content and your narration is very entertaining. And you passed 1,000 subs!

"I'll start with a light grey on the tiles, and then come through with a drybrush to *highlight* it with varying degrees of *darker* shades."
This made me chuckle.
This looks awesome, great job.
Words are hard. Sometimes I no speak good.
As a huge Elder Scrolls fan and collector, I'd love this for my collection! This is ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL!!!! 😍
Thank you for doing this awesome job on everyone's first home in Skyrim!!! I laughed along as you cried and I realized I'd never have the patience of a saint to try to make this nook. I love looking at yours and admire your inner strength to make all those beautiful little items. Glory to you!!! 💖💖

You are so funny! Ok when I have 2 3d printers I'll give you one! Awesome job! I enjoyed your video a lot!
Just subscribed to your Patreon! I'm excited. I love your channel.
The commentary on the furniture situation gives me LIFE
That is just straight-up fantastic! What a beautiful idea. I’ve never thought of putting things between my books or that a book nook is even a thing, but I love it. I can’t make things like that, because I have no patience, but I definitely like the idea behind it.
Kudos to you. Also: you have a fantastic taste in books and some of those I have myself!
Cheers! Book nooks are something I've only recently started 'making' but I've been a big fan for a while. I love those big, full wall bookshelves, and having tiny scenes and worlds between the books is a fun little surprise!
This episode unsurprisingly DOES go well with popcorn!
You can have my sub, it's the least I can do after the torture of stir sticks you went through for this video.
I believe it was Frank Reynolds who said, "Artist must suffer for the art, that's why it's called *pain*-ting". Something, something stir stick related.
I LOVE this. So glad you slanted the roof and added shingles. It made the whole thing 20% cooler
I’m blown away, this is freaking awesome! Well worth the coffee stir stick overload, painty fingers and frustration with all the repetition. Oh man single shingle laying 😝 worth it though looks great!
Never again! Or, never again until the next time I wake up and think, "I bet it would look good with shingles...". So, give it a week?
@@NorthoftheBorder Black Magic Craft has some great stressless shingles on his channel if you want a non coffee stir stick way 😛
My Elderscrolls-adoring heart is so happy at this model! You're stuff is always so awesome!
I used to build book nooks till I took an exacto blade to the knee . :) Awesome job .
I've just started playing Skyrim again after a few years (I have to admit Todd got me with the anniversary update). I think this is my favourite builds you've ever done and might well have been the first video of yours I saw. I think I've watched and re-watched this video about 4 times now xD but as soon as I started playing again that I wanted to come back and watch the majesty that is this build. this video and your channel as a whole have really inspired me to venture into the terrain sections of my local hobby shops. I even ended up making a little miniature/diorama for one of my uni projects xD (I can only blame my lecturer, he was joking about me making a miniature set...I was not. xD I really hope you make more Skyrim builds in the future, though I understand if this was enough Skyrim building (and stir sticks) for one lifetime xD
I have been watching about 3 hours of your videos. You are insanely talented!!
I would love to see you tackle:
- Shadow of the Colossus
- Tomb Raider in a temple
- Avatar
- Bioshock
SotC is on my list, as it Bioshock!
Aw, a book nook and a nightlight. Very cute project. Much respect.
That looks pretty close to what Bree's house looks like. I used to watch my Son's videos while he played Skyrim. It's a awesome game. You did a great job.
I'm glad you're using the metric system and not coconuts per swallow.
“I couldn’t be bothered.” Is my new phrase when crafting. Love it.
It's applicable to lots of things in everyday life, too!
I don't know hardly anything about Skyrim but I've fallen in love with your channel and this aesthetic is right up my alley
As a self proclaimed Elder Scrolls “Master” hahahahaha FANTASTIC project! Well done!
I CAN NOT BELIEVE YOU DIDNT MAKE ANY SWEET ROLLS??! they are ICONIC in skyrim
I love how he always says he's not good at this type of stuff then makes things I wouldn't even know where to begin with
The roof tiles were totally worth it! Really shows your attention to detail! And sells the illusion!
Thanks! They were a pain, but I'm glad I chose to do them.
Looks awesome ! Extra time well spent on the roof in my opinion and the furniture is great 👍👍👍
Extra time I'm glad I'll never have to do again (until the next one...)
Omg. That awesome it gives the bookshelf a bit more caricature
This is such a useful video, I've watched it a few times over to get the most out of all your techniques and tips. And the final product is beautiful!
Outstanding job, beautiful, I don't really know what I find exciting the most: the booknook, or the fact that after spending several minutes on the comment section, I didn't find not one, single, stupid "arrow to the knee" line. Amazing!
All you need is Lydia, endlessly sitting at the table in your bedroom, eating bread and watching you sleep.
You are a genius of tiny things
Yup, that floor is amazing.
I LOVE it mate, and I am soooo happy that you cut and bent the tops in, it looks so much better.
It took me over an hour with internet issues to watch this whole thing (I had to restart things multiple times) by the time I was mostly finished I was going to give you grief about the trip hazard floors, and then: BANG!!! "It's a book nook dummy"!
Really nice Job! Looks great!
Mate... i think you're completely wrong... if your fingers ends up painted it means that you have had fun doing your diorama hahaha. What a precious work you achieved on here! Congrats!! Thanks for sharing
Its more when I go through my video during edits and get grossed out by the dirty brown fingers!
@@NorthoftheBorder hahah yeah. You really made me play again Skyrim by the way!
I've been watching your stuff for a while on my other channel but I don't need an excuse to come back to watch your stuff again on this channel :)
Absolutely love your work! Found your channel through your hobbit Book nook. As I am looking for inspirations for book nooks, your works are absolutely perfect. Thanks so much for your tutorials/Workthroughs!
your commenting is absolutely amazing and helps a lot :)
Thanks! I'm glad they're helpful for you, and there's lots more to come. People seem to really dig the book nooks, so I'll probably start focusing on them a lot in the near future.
one of my favorite things about these videos is that you dont use a lot of fancy tools, and it feels tangible for someone starting out to watch your videos and get a good idea for what they can try to do. Not that I would blame anyone for using 3d printers or expensive tools, its just nice to see such a down to earth craftsman, who's honest about the process and doesnt mislead with video editing out hiccups along the way. that being said even if you get fancy tools it wont make your videos any less fascinating and entertaining to watch
he doesn't give himself enough credit, this is beyond amazing!
Very nice! I love making little dioramas like this with a ton of detail everywhere you look.
Soooo much joy is being had watching this.
Man I love this channel. I just discovered it a few days ago and I’ve watched several per day. Great stuff !
So glad I found your channel!!! Love your creativity and ingenuity!!! Your book nook is amazing!!!
Most detailed book nook I've seen! Awesome work, love the tiny things
The roof shingles may have not been needed and tedious, but it’s super cool knowing they are there.
Noice. I'm currently replaying Skyrim with the 10 years worth of updates and new crap. Breeze home was where I mostly keep my family. Always have. It feels cozy.
I relate sooo much to all the little fiddly bits of painting when making maquettes. And yeah, I always make sure I paint walls before gluing them together -otherwise... argh! Fantastic work you do, your sculpting is incredible. LOVE these videos!!! TY for sharing. ☺
This is wonderful,so detailed and looks so beautiful lit up .I think it’s one of the nicest book nooks I have seen .It never ceases to amaze me how talented and creative people are and to do everything in such tiny scale is definitely a true labour of love ..Absolutely mesmerising to watch and enjoyed your banter 🥰
Thanks for the kind words! I'm glad you enjoyed it--it was both fun to make and an absolute nightmare. So, the usual.
That is so cool! I love Skyrim. Enjoyed your commentary too.
where two weeks in France for an exchange, am happy to hear your voice again adam
I will start on one of your videos while working, and let youtube just play in the background. I kid you not, it will always play this video. I have watched it at least once a day for the last few months.
Love your creative process and attention to detail!
Tremendously impressed by this. Skyrim is my all time favourite game and this was wonderful. Definitely subscribed!
OMG! I love all the small furniture and things😍
looks so fantastic and so many lovely details.
This looks amazing with all those tiny details!
I'm replaying Skyrim on my Switch and this book nook feels like home.
Your little orange squares are adorable.
Your commentary was easy to listen to and I learned that maybe I COULD DO THAT! Thanks!
Oh my god this turned out so good! So glad that I discovered your channel, thanks for being a source of nerd serotonin !
Welcome to the channel! I'm even more glad than you that you discovered it. Take your shoes off, have a seat, stay a while and listen!
Really nice of everyone to furnish our houses completely when we buy them, and do the grocery shopping
That dedication to finish what you started with the roof ♥️
Loved your narration, it had me laughing! Amazing book nook
love all the little details
You did a great awesome piece of Art Work with exactely the mood of Skyrim 👌
Oh my god, your narration is hilarious 😂 love your sense of humor.
I make miniatures with polymer clay and am so inspired by you to get started on my dream dollhouse. I never know what theme I want but now, my fave Skyrim home might be a consideration. Thank you!
Looks beatiful man, great work! Wish i had something like this
Hey there, just found your channel and this is a great video. I really enjoyed watching you craft everything from little bits of wood and scraps of this and that and then seeing how you paint it and bring it all to life. I absolutely love how it turned out, it's very charming and you're very talented. Thank you for sharing your craft with us.
Dude, it's January 2024, your videos have come LEAPS AND BOUNDS!
This HD texture mod looks great!
That’s amazing. Restored my passion for sculpting.
Great build as usual, seen you have some Terry Pratchett books, maybe you can do a build from Discworld, maybe unseen university, mended drum, granny Weatherwaxs cottage.
I have no artistic talent but watching these really makes me wanna try this for things I love
Dude you are genuinely funny and I loved the hell out of all the side comments and text onscreen now and then. (I.e. rustic*)
Totally stoked I came across this video as I tried to navigate my insomnia. I love love love Skyrim and you killed it! Sooo cool.
Nice! I love your attention to detail. I love anything miniature! My daughter used to play that game!🤗
Freaking incredible bro! Huge Elder Scroll fan, so Keep em’ coming 🤩👍✨
You worked your fingers to the bones on this awesome project, so you have earned thousands of likes and deserve many more; in the meanwhile I contribute with mine, as you made me go back in time into those old difficult days!
Beautiful work well done. So many details love it and Your sense of humor 👍
OMG, I’m amazed. Brilliant!
Absolutely loved it!!!! LOVED IT!!! LOOOVED IT!
This is epic!
I love how you say "I couldn't be bothered"
I finally got my mini square like yours I ordered 2 months ago. It’s beautiful.
This is epic Skyrim is my favourite game
Looks amazing.
Great build, Lydia would be proud to guard it. It felt weird not seeing her there.
OMG, I want to go and play Skyrim again.
Awesome
My God, what a most beautiful work of art, perfect. Happy birthday.
