Thanks for another expert review BBQ guys! Keep them coming! So if this cooks as well or better than a Napoleon Prestige or a Weber Genesis and is similarly priced than why do we see more around considering they're a notch above in build quality with more 304? Not much information and reviews to be found and not many dealers sell these in Canada.
Unlike Napoleon and Weber, Saber grills are all infrared. This definitely plays into it, in that most people don't understand that there is a difference between them and the likes of Napoleon and Weber. Hope this helps!
Just got this bbq, and it's amazing! Thing cooks so well. Its almost like cooking over coals bc of how hot the emitters get and they way they vaporize the drippings. I cant even imagine how bad ass the higher end Saber grills are
Hi, thanks for the new style of thorough reviews. Please explain how this is a infrared grill looks nothing like the Side burner on my Napoleon 500 prestige. basically it's regular burners with some sort of stainless steel plate on top.?
The stainless plates over the burners are called "emitters" They can be made using ceramic, like the Napoleon side burner, metal plates (Which Napoleon uses over the new Prestige and Prestige Pro rotisserie burners) or glass, like TEC.
We tend to prefer an infrared over a conventional burner for thighs and breasts. All IR doesn't take as much moisture out of the food and that's a big thing for chicken - especially the breasts that tend to want to dry out. Legs will still cook fine on a Saber but you might not have great results on the IR grills that only run hot since the bone makes them take longer to cook through. Saber has a good low temp range so no worries there.
Saber grills are terrible and they don’t stand behind their product it’s just an overpriced charbroil .. have one on my back porch now and wished I went with a Bull !
Don't know what you mean, I've had a Saber for 7yrs in the Tropical Salt Air and its still looking delightful. The casters are a bit rusted but that's all. The cooking box itself is unmatched, holds heat so well.
@@MattyRuss242hard to believe I am in Georgia it’s in a built in outdoor kitchen covered with a roof and now I am spending thousands tearing apart the outdoor kitchen to replace it with a bull. Box is rusted out , burners shot , brackets that hold burners literally disintegrated so can’t even replace burners ..
Love my Saber. Been uncovered for 7 years and it's still cooking like when it was new. Best grill for the $$ anywhere.
Glad to hear it!
the select or the deluxe?

Can this grill cook chicken legs/thighs well? Or would a regular propane grill be better for marinated chicken?(say a Napoleon prestige for example)

Pretty much the only grill out there that does it right
Hard to beat!
I love the quality of my Saber Deluxe.
Only thing I don't like is that it doesn't have the separated channels like the deluxe does 😭
Those pork chops at 3:32 are sweet! Where'd you buy them? Are they double bone?
My emitters rusted out after 4 years, replacements for a 3 burner cost $300+, I’m not sure why they rusted the grates are stainless and did not rust.
wow!! great vid. made me super hungry
Thank you 😋
It’s time for dinner in China now
😍 P r o m o s m!!

So what's so terrible about the grill in particular? I'm deciding between this or like you said a regular ol charbroil grill for like 300bux lol
Well, I got the grill and have cooked dinner on it for a whole week. It's amazing. I'm glad I got it and not a weber

I'm really interested in getting one, but I've been reading they don't last and rust through. Not that much info on them.
